Entries: 2    Absentees: 0 1ST  Riverbrue Gives You Hell (Miss C Clarke) A super young dog, who fulfils the term ‘racy’, full of quality, so clean in outline, beautiful-headed dog, with lovely expression & balance, good oval skull, well-placed ears, correct dark eye, the best neck on the day - long, muscular & slightly arched into excellent-placed shoulder, good upper arm length, he has deep chest & well-spring ribs, super strong loin leading to well-bent stifles, lovely free-flowing side gait, sure once he matures he will ‘be giving you hell’ as a top contender in the breed.   2ND  - Cafotaliena Play with Fire (Miss C & Miss N & Mrs M Hardy & Hardy & Rusinek) Overall a good-shaped dog, little strong in head & skull for my taste, but kind expressive eye, ok neck, into good shoulder, like more fore-chest, deep brisket, well ribbed back, strong in loin, with well-bent stifles, short in hock, moved well, open side profile & straight on the up & back. Super coat & colour.    Yearling Dog - Entries: 3    Absentees: 0 1ST  - Bluesprings Linda's Legacy at Forestfire (Mrs L Richardson) A super typey dog, who on first look appealed in shape. He had a super kind expressive head of correct proportions. Brows are raised, great muzzle with slightly square lips. Excellent neck, muscular, long & slightly arched, into a well-set shoulder, good length of upper arm, excellent feet, deep chest, developing well, excellent underline, with a good strong loin well leading to well-bent stifles, excellent slightly sloping top-line, held on a stack & moving, excellent young dog will watch with interest.    2ND - Ixia Boys Don't Cry at Shanoah JW (Mr N & Mrs S Foster) Good racy outline, super headed dog, balanced, with a good stop, excellent oval skull, raised brows, with a correct dark eye, refined all through in head, good length of neck, ok shoulder placement & like more upper arm, lovely bone for age, deep in brisket, well developed ribs, strong muscular loin, well bent stifles, just not balanced at 1st, moved on free steady gait.   3RD  - Harelferg Macfarlane for Umfrido JW (Mrs A R Macfarlane) Novice Dog Entries: 0    Absentees: 0 Graduate Dog - Entries: 3    Absentees: 0 1ST  - Forfarian Fancy Some Fun (Mrs J G Dow) Super for type, nice overall shape, good head, balanced, correct oval skull, nice stop, expressive dark eyes, good occiput, little loose in throat, nice neck into good shoulder, ok upper arm, deep brisket, well ribbed, great bone & feet, nice underline, ok topline, needs to firm up, balanced rear angles. Moved well once settled, like to see how he finishes.   2ND - Harelferg New Tricks for Umfrido ShCEx (Mrs A R Macfarlane) Good head, pleasing eyes, good stop. Moderate neck set onto an ok shoulder, good bone showing good sinew, arched feet, deep chest with well-sprung ribs, matching rear angles, strong top-line, moved well. 3RD   - Gwendariff Stupid Cupid TAF (Mrs C A Mathews) Post Graduate Dog Entries: 5    Absentees: 0 1ST  - Forfarian Fancy Footwork JW (Mr G & Miss K Jacobs & Bernard) My find of the day, what a cracking young dog, was the easy winner of the class, pushed the CC all the way & will have his day. The most gorgeous-headed dog, long & lean, oval skull with plenty of brain room, well-defined stop, so balanced, raised brows, with beautiful dark brown unshelled almond eyes, so expressive, long muscular neck into well-laid shoulders, super return of upper arm, correct bone with excellent feet. Deep in brisket with well-developing ribs, strong slightly arched loin, excellent rear angles, with good width to thighs, short hocks, powered around the ring, with super free-flowing movement, in the challenge only maturity kept him away from the CC against the more mature boys, so settled for the RCC.    2ND      Quensha The One Man Show (ai) (Mrs C, Mr G T & Mrs A Bott, Allen & Morgan) A super-shaped young man, full of quality, head needs to break and refine more. Good oval skull, lovely eyes, well set on ears lying close to the skull. Excellent long muscular neck, into a well-laid shoulder, another with good return of upper arm, good forechest, plenty of ribs for age, strong in the loin, well-bent stifles, strong hocks, moved with good side gait, straight on the up and back. He is what the standard calls for, racy, balanced & full of quality, while being balanced in outline, he had an excellent height to length ratio. He is so handsome, refined with head long & lean, oval in skull, balanced, beautiful un-shelled dark eye, set level, under excellent brows creating a beautiful expression. His neck flowed into excellent shoulder, with good upper arm, deep brisket, well developed, strong muscular loin, into super well bent stifles to complement his front. With an excellent slightly sloping topline, both on the stack & on the move. Free flowing, excellent side gait. A beautiful dog & thrilled afterwards I found out he got his title today. CC BOS   2ND - Swiftlark Spellbinder (Mrs S S Corless) A good dog, who appeals on the stack, good head & expression, lovely eye, correct skull, ears close set. Ok neck into a good shoulder, return of upper arm, deep brisket, lovely bone, ribs well strung, strong long chest, plenty of angle behind, slightly slopping correct top line, like less fall away at the croup. Long, lean head, with unshelled almond eyes, balanced, with intelligent expression, good moderately long neck, into well-laid shoulder & good return upper arm, like more forechest, deep brisket, balanced rear angles, with good width to thigh, moves with free-flowing, moving with style and drive. In the challenge I found myself liking a little more height to him.   2ND   Riverbrue Cast No Shadow On Haverley (Miss A Dufrat) Another good dog, with the Irish Setter shape I was looking for, he is racy, balanced & full of quality, oval skull, needs to refine more in expression for my taste but this didn’t take away from his excellent slightly arched neck into well-placed shoulder, with excellent return of upper arm, good forechest. She has a super front assembly, with correct fore chest, great bone, super shaped ribs and deep in brisket, underline super shape, short in loin, super well bent stifles to complement her front. Excellent slightly sloping topline which held on stack & moving, straight up & back, free easy side gait with excellent footfall, push hard for top honours in a great bitch entry.   2ND - Quensha Joker and The Queen (Mrs C, Mr G T & Mrs A Bott, Allen & Morgan) A smaller bitch than 1st, but again of great quality & type, good head & eye, great stop, well balanced, good neck into good shoulder, nice length of upper arm, plenty of fore chest, great bone, well ribbed up, muscular loin, balanced well bent stifles, good topline, held on the move & stack, moved with good style & push 1st all the way.    3RD  - Ferasheen Pop The Champers JW (Mrs K & Miss G Sloane) RES  - Quensha Galway Girl (Mrs D E McDonald) VHC - Cafotaliena She’s On Fire (Miss N C & Miss C Hardy) Open Bitch Entries: 4    Absentees: 1 1ST  - Sh Ch Lynwood Rather Scrumptious JW (Mrs J P Mugford) and she has matured into a scrumptious Irish Setter. She screams for breed type, full of quality, racy, but refined. She is mature in body, with the most super angles, correct topline, which she holds on the stack and when moving. She has a super long lean head, good stop, oval skull, beautiful unshelled almond eyes, leading to beautiful expression, good occiput protuberance, muzzle moderately deep, so balanced and leading to beautiful expression. Her lines flow from one part to the next, long muscular neck with slight arch, super well-laid shoulder, with great upper arm, excellent fore chest and pro sternum, correct bone and good feet. Mature in body, well-sprung ribs, with muscular loin with well-bent stifles. Correct slightly sloping topline and good underline. She moved true on the up and back, side profile excellent foot placement, with free-flowing sound movement, excellent example of the breed CC / BOB.   2ND - Sh Ch Glennara Cherry Cola JW (Mrs K A Hall) A super bitch, who was unlucky to meet 1st in such good form. She is refined in looks and of great quality, so balanced, nothing to deny her she is all Irish Setter. Super head, correct oval skull, well proportioned, nice stop, correct lip, muscular arched neck into the best shoulders, with good return, correct pro sternum, good straight correctly boned legs, mature through body, super brisket, well ribbed up to muscular slightly arched loin, correct long hip to hock rear. Movement was super on a long easy stride, Push for the RCC. 3RD - Glimmer Noblesse Easy Peasy (Miss M Dufrat) Veteran Bitch Entries: 4    Absentees: 1 1ST - Sh Ch Forfarian Soo Lush JW (Mrs S & Miss J, Mrs N Sturrock & Watt) First time I have had my hands on this bitch, and she is so lush, again no defining her that she is an Irish setter through and through. Classic outline, full of quality, lovely size, beautiful head, with refined looks, correctly balanced leading to super arched neck, best of shoulders, deep in brisket, well developed front, well ribbed up & back, strong in loin, super rear angles to balance her. Moved with effortless movement, straight on up & back RCC. BV, VG3 2ND  - Corranroo One More Kiss (Mr G C & Mrs J Bayne) Pretty headed bitch with quality head, lovely dark eyes set under good brows, giving a good expression, balanced, good neck, ok shoulder, ok upper arm, mature in body, deep brisket, well ribbed back, strong loin, balanced rear, with good width, good tail run off and strong topline.
