Thankyou to the club for inviting me to award my first set of CCs in this wonderful breed here today. Temperents were super, exhibitors sporting and a pleasure to be around for the afternoon. Thankyou to my stewards who kept things moving swiftly despite the wind trying to blow their table and contents away!

Baby Puppy Dog (3,2)

1, McCallums Burlesk Tony The Tiger. Smart 4 month old with bags of character and potential. I imagine just what anyone would want in a puppy of this age. Short, compact, ample bone with a very attractive square head and schooling well on the lead and move already. BPBIS.

Baby Puppy Bitch (3,2)

1, Weirs Wildax Winter. 4 ½ months old, a littler rangier to the dog at this age but ample time on her side and naturally a more feminine frame with the sweetest head and expression developing. 

Veteran Dog (3,2)

1, Scotts Aprika Buffalo Bill at Rudino ShCEx, 10 years old. All male, attractive head and eye with good ear placement and good length of neck. Topline and tailset good with clean rear angulations. BVD. 

Puppy Dog (2,0)

1, Granges Bosties Urban Outlaw. Super 9 month old youngster, compact in body with good bone and ribs, level topline and short in loin. Nicely developing head, with broad square muzzle, dark round eyes and good ear placement. He moved well with confidence. BPD.

2, Snells Whiskyagogo’s Victory Lap at Sonduriya, 7 months old, a couple of months will make all the difference, good for size and balance, with attractive head and eyes, flat between the ears and ears positioned well. Just needs to broaden in muzzle still and topline not quite as firm as 1 at this stage. Moved out well and steady though.

Yearling Dog (2,0)

1, Mairs Glenauld Texas Tom, 22 month old, preferred the width of muzzle, eyes round, dark and ears positioned well. Decent neck length and good for topline. Well off for bone, front straight, but feet could be a bit tidier. Depth of rib correct with good width in front also. Rear angulations clean and correct.

2, Rodaways Demorace Atmospheric, 18 months with good neck and topline, a touch longer cast than the winner but with good rear angulations and straight front. Not quite the width of muzzle as 1 and a tad lighter in the eye but good placement and ear set and carriage also a plus. 

Novice Dog (1,0)

1, McCallum & Laings Burlesk Varlove Billy Whizz Bang, 18 month old, quite heavily marked but fairly square in outline and with good sprung ribs which gave him decent width in front, ample bone for frame and tidy feet. Correct low set of tail. Nice angulations on the rear and moving freely with a confident appearance. 

Post Grad Dog (1,0)

1, Harris’ Kroni Mr Don Pedjony for Petarris (Imp SRB), 19 month old, good head qualities, square in shape and using ears well. Decent neck and topline with good depth of chest and showing good angulations in profile. Holds outline well on the move but could be a bit tidier coming towards.

Limit Dog (3,0)

1, Mairs Ever Single Verlaine The Poet at Glenauld (Imp FRA), 21 months and a strong contender for a green card today, I’m sure he will achieve some if he hasn’t already. Lots to like, squarely built, compact appearance and good clean angulations both from and rear with ample bone for his stature. Nicely headed, square skull, flat on top and super width of muzzle, full of expression and has a strong yet graceful neck and firm topline. Holds himself very well in competition.

2, Wildman & Davis’ Canmoy’s Boston Coco Pops at Wildax Rowendale (Imp FIN), 2 year old which a much heavier frame and not quite as short and compact as 1. No doubting his masculinity, strong in head, small ears, flat between, but not quite the expression as 1. Neck a touch shorter but set well into well laid shoulders, topline level and well muscled rear. Moving with a positive strut.

3, Rostron-Parkers Rosparquier’s Late Edition.

Open Dog (8,3)

1, Keenans Ch Chelmbull Return Of The Mac at Nerros, 3 year old, all male, smartly present chap of good size, shape and balance. He does not appear overdone in anyway and provides a square outline both on stance and in motion. His head is square, eyes are of good size, dark and round, he has a good nose leather and open nostrils and well fitting lips. His ears are small, thin and carrier perfectly erect with good flat skull between. Gracefully arched length of neck, form level topline, well sprung rib, plus depth, tail set low on and well muscled rear assembly. Straight bone in front and tidy feet with good width of chest which give a clean movement coming towards and an easy action in profile. DCC & BIS.

2, Roulstons Ivyjewel Put A Light On Me JW. 2 ½ year old also worthy of a title and again, very pleasing in outline. Graceful appearance with shapely neck and decent topline. Clean front assembly, just the right amount of bone for his size and tidy feet. Good head and expression with dark round eyes, open nostrils and neatly positioned ears which he uses to his advantage. Handled and moved well. Pulled the stops out when called back in to the challenge. RDCC.

3, Burlesk Tiger King.

Veteran Bitch (5,3)

1, Masons Ch Aprika California Dreamin’ JW, what a lovely bitch, 8 years old, so shapely and easy on the eye. Great for balance, skull size good, square, flat on top between well placed ears, lustrous round eyes set well apart and broad in muzzle. Neck and topline correct and even creeping into the veteran years, clearly still in good hard condition. Moved freely keeping her outline, RBCC, BVB, BVIS.

2, Pellowes Ch/ Int Ch Wildax Endless Love VW, another lovely girl not giving too much age away, with good head and expression aided by her dark round eyes and well used ears. Good for neck and well sprung in the rib. She moved well also.

Minor Puppy Bitch (2,0)

1, Rostron-Parkers Rosparquier Never Too Late, 7 month old, preferred her head at this stage, decent shape and good fill under the eyes, fairly square outline and compact, topline could firm up just a touch but plenty of time on her side and she has a super front assembly and tidy feet.

2, Wildman & Davis’ Wildax Beryl The Peril, 7 months also, lots to like also, feminine head and expression, uses her well placed ears well, decent body shape developing and holds her topline well.

Puppy Bitch (3,0)

1, James’ Aprika Hollywood Dream, lovely baby of 9 months, compactly built with sprung rib and clean front and rear set up, good length of neck and the most attractive head, dark and round in the eye, well positioned and used ears, broad muzzle and full of expression and confidence. Moved with a positive strut and was attentive to her handler. BPB, BPIS

2, Gallaghers Vickvally Ruby Aura, 11 month old where a lot of the same comments would apply, she has the most beautiful head also and carries herself well at all times in the class. Straight in front and clean rear angles, just a touch longer in the loin which gave 1 the edge in outline.

3, Granges Bosties Urban Whispers.

Junior Bitch (3,1)

1, Owens Canmoy’s Boston April Fool with Sirfon (Imp FIN), 13 month old, sweet little bitch, compact frame and holds a decent outline. Feminine head and expression, could be a touch broader in the muzzle but well fitting lips and she uses her ear well. Graceful arched neck of decent length and settled in topline. Straight in front, and good rear set up and she stacks and moves a treat.

2, Perrys Wildax Voodoo Queen, 14 months old, larger frame and still maturing, but shows a graceful length of neck and good muscletone, ribs sprung, but needs to drop a little into her legs, good for bone, moving nicely in profile with a good stride.

Yearling Bitch (4,1)

1, Roulstons Ivyjewel Cast A Spell, 18 month old who excels in body for shape, balance and condition. Nicely covered in a short smooth jacket and nicely sprung ribcage. Firm level topline and correct low set on tail. Clean rear angles and well laid should and straight front as well as tidy on the foot. Neck length in keeping and feminine head and expression. She uses her neatly position ears well and has a sparkle in her dark round eyes. Moved and handled well and a strong contender for the RCC.

2, Rodaways Demorace Born Free, lots to like, holding a good outline with a firm topline. She had a good headpiece and neck length and good for bone and balance. Just not quite the precision of 1 on the move.

3, Rankin & Hickins Wildax She’s A Show Girl.

Novice Bitch (1,0)

1, James’ Aprika Hollywood Dream (winner of PB).

Graduate Bitch (1,0)

1, Bateys Bronheim Maiden Issue, 18 month old, good head qualities, dark round eyes of good size and set nicely apart, flat skull between well placed ears. Neck length and topline good with good turn of stifle on the rear. Could be a touch shorter in loin and although depth of chest good, a tad more width would have been better as appears a bit close and untidy coming towards. Presented in a well fitting short smooth jacket with good muscletone.

Post Grad Bitch (1,0)

1, Monk & Jones’ Olearia Westfalen Real Deal, 22 months and sets herself up well on the stand. Topline is flat, tail set a little high on. Head shape good, square, with dark round eyes which are positioned nicely apart and give good expression. Moved well in profile but another that moved a little closer coming towards.

Limit Bitch (4,2)

1, Masters Aprika Graceland JW, 2 year old, who’s head won it for me, so feminine and with the most expressive round eyes and a well filled width of muzzle. She uses her nicely placed ears to her advantage, is good for neck length and has a well sprung ribcage. She is compactly built and has the correct low set on tail. Her front has good straight bone in keeping with her frame and she has decent width of chest. She moves freely, and confidently and handles well. 

2, Monk & Jones’ Olearia Westfalen Real Gold, litter mate to PG winner, another that sets up well and knows what to do, good for neck and topline and rounded in the rib. Bone and balance good for size and square in head with good ear size and carriage. Alert expression making use of those round eyes of good size for head proportions.

Open Bitch (6,1)

1, Wildman & Davis’ Ch Wildax Krispy Kreme, stunning young bitch of 19 months who when you see her free standing and stood attentive to her handler I imagine is just what anyone could want from a boston. For me her silhouette is spot on, so balanced, and oozing femininity. Very attractive headpiece, dark round eyes, set well apart a good nose pad, broad and flat in muzzle with tidy ears set parallel and upright with good flat space between. Perfect length of neck and firm topline. Super rear angulations with excess and presented in good hard condition. In profile she holds her shape a treat, could not deny her the BCC today, when it came to the challenge for BOB I just found the dog a bit more together coming forward , BOS, RBIS.

2, Rankin & Spensers Ch Wildax Shut That Door, 3 year old, a touch longer cast than winner but still holding a good outline with firm topline and the right amount of neck. Good skull shape, flat between the ears, ears small and positioned well. Ribs sprung with good depth and width of chest and a nice straight front assembly. Moved and handled well.

3, Cunds Ch Chelmbull Double Trouble.
