It was a honour to be invited to judge your breed at Richmond Champ show and I was delighted to receive such a wonderful entry, thank you to all the exhibitors for your support, the VD/B class was a credit to all the owners, I often feel it such a shame in many breeds that more veterans aren’t shown so to start the breed today with such a wonderful class of veterans was a joy, they were a credit to all their owners, please continue to celebrate your oldies, they deserve to be seen

1st: 1215 WESTWOOD, Mrs Tina & WESTWOOD, Miss Sky Ir Sh Ch Eusanit Proper Job JW 8Y D darker red in super coat with correct dense undercoat, balanced head with good eye shape & colour, neat ears set correctly, well-constructed forehand showing forechest & depth, strong topline and tail carried well on the move, well boned legs and standing on nice tight feet, he moved with drive & precision displaying the spring and jauntiness called for in the standard, pleased to award him BD, BOB & BVIB, delighted to hear he made the shortlist in the Veteran Group

2nd: 1195 ROGERS, Miss P A Eusanit Peaky Blinder 8Y D, litter brother to 1 and many of the same comments apply, I was nitpicking between them, I liked his head with soft expression, well-constructed all round, strong topline & correct tail set which was held correctly on the move, in good dark red coat with ample feathering & dense undercoat, well boned legs and tight feet, another who moved well but not quite matching his brother in front movement which was the decider

1st: 1217 WESTWOOD, Mrs Tina & WESTWOOD, Miss Sky Cornishsand Mordros Amongst Eusanit what a sweet pup, at just 6M & 1D at his first show he was very confident and thoroughly enjoying himself which is as it should be, lovely head and eye colour for his age, coat & feathering coming along well, good neck into well laid shoulders, enough forechest for age, good topline & tail set, enough bone and nice feet, on the move he strode out like he’d being doing it forever, very promising

1st: 1219 WESTWOOD, Mrs Tina & WESTWOOD, Miss Sky & MCDONALD Eusanit Moment Of Clarity Among Roanjora 9M, I liked his head with correct almond-shaped eyes which just need to darken a little more, neat triangular ear correctly set on, nice front with straight legs & tight feet, correct depth and ribs well sprung already, short back with level topline to a slightly sloping croup, in good coat with undercoat and well feathered, sound mover driving off well angulated hindquarters, one I will watch with interest BPD, RBD & BPIB

2nd: 1217 WESTWOOD, Mrs Tina & WESTWOOD, Miss Sky Cornishsand Mordros Amongst Eusanit change of handler in this class didn’t faze this lad one bit, what a little star he was

2nd: 1188 LASHLY, Mrs Sophie & LASHLY, Mr Craig Tollisty Thrymheim Of Citanabel just 12M, nicely balanced head, just needs to darken a little more in eye, well laid shoulders, enough forechest & depth, tight elbows, moderate rear angles, good coat & feathering, moved well but not quite as precise as 1

1st: 1202 STREVENS, Miss H Tollisty You Can't Decline nearly 5Y dark red, nice balance to head of correct slight wedge, dark expressive eyes, medium length neck well set on with well laid shoulders, chest is deep with well sprung ribs, nicely balanced all through with good depth & width of thigh, well coated & feathered, well boned legs with neat feet, moved with drive

2nd: 1206 SMITH, Mrs Karen Tollisty Raudr 3.5Y correct head with lovely expression, well angulated fore & aft, nice front with straight, well boned legs to tight feet, balanced all through, just preferred overall type of 1, moved soundly

3rd: 1183 HEAD, Mrs Stephanie & HEAD, Mr James Spriterufus Tarantella

2nd: 1175 ELKIN, Miss M L Ch Tollelkin Caife Americano Sgwc Shcex 7Y I liked the head of this boy with his kind eye of good colour, slightly larger all over than 1 but retaining balance, strong neck into lay of shoulder, good in forechest with nice depth and spring of rib, well angulated all round with strong legs and tight feet, well coated & feathered, moved out soundly covering the ground well, just preferred the overall presence of 1

1st: 1211 TESTER, Miss Rachel Gingafing Just Like Heaven 9M with a pretty head of correct slight wedge shape, well set & carried ears, good length of neck, shoulder ok, topline & tailset good, nice bone & good feet, moderate angulation behind, at this stage had a tendency to be a little bum high, this will change as she mature and her topline strengthens, moved well, BPB

2nd: 1191 DEE, Mr Pete Cornishsand Morwenna 6M little sister to MPD, lots to like about her, sweet head of nice proportions at this stage, strong neck into good front, good legs & feet, lively mover who just needs to gain confidence but all the essentials are there to grow on if she does

1st: 1174 CROSS, Miss Elizabeth & PARFETT, Miss Kirsty Tollpepper Dawns Light 17M orange, stood alone but deserving of her win in this class, I liked her overall balance, good head with nice eye & expression, shoulders well laid, a little lacking in forechest but good depth & spring of rib, level topline to slightly sloping croup with correct tail set, nice rear angulation, good bone & nice feet, lively mover who moved straight up & down with precision

Class 534 PGB (11 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1194 RICE, Mrs N Tiamaria Bella Rosa JW 18M just out of J, smaller size but nicely balanced, lovely head with well set ears, good clean neck into well laid shoulders, strong level topline with good tail set which she held well on the move, well angulated hindquarters, neat feet, enough coat & undercoat with good feathering, another displaying the typical jaunty movement with drive & reach

2nd: 1218 WESTWOOD, Mrs Tina & WESTWOOD, Miss Sky & MCDONALD Eusanit What The Fuggle Roanjora JW rising 3Y this girl is slightly larger all over than 1 but still feminine & balanced, I would like a slightly broader skull but she has the correct wedge shape, well laid shoulder, strong topline & tail set well on, good depth & spring, well coated with undercoat, steady, ground covering movement

1st: 1203 STREVENS, Miss H Tollisty Shincha JW I really liked this 3.5Y girl for type, size & balance, good head with a sweet, inquisitive expression, strong neck into well laid shoulders, excellent forehand assembly with good forechest, well boned legs to good feet, she holds her strong, level topline on the move using her tail as she goes with drive & reach all topped off with an excellent coat & furnishings, pushed hard for top honours but had to settle for RBB 

2nd: 1209 TESTER, Miss Rachel Gingafing Forget Me Not lively 6Y, good head but a little round in eye, strong, clean neck into good shoulder assembly, well off for depth & spring of rib but not the forechest of 1, strong topline to correct tail set & carriage, sound mover

3rd: 1172 COLLINS, Miss Diane & POWLEY, Miss C Danehaven Madeleine

Class 536 OB (6 Entries) Abs: 2

1st: 1171 ANSTEAD, Miss Deborah Sh Ch Ir Sh Ch & Int Sh Ch Riverwatcher Koda almost 6Y that I’ve admired from the ringside previously and wasn’t disappointed getting my hands on her today. She has lovely balance all through and shouts breed type, slightly larger girl but is feminine with strength, lovely head of correct proportions with dark eye giving a kind expression, super front assembly with depth & forechest, strong, clean neck flowing into her level topline, good sweep of stifle and well let down hocks, has depth and width of thigh, standing on well boned legs with tight feet she moved with drive & precision, pleased to award her BB & BOS

2nd: 1201 STREVENS, Miss H Sh Ch Tollelkin Caife Gaelach at Tollisty 7Y not showing her age at all, lovely feminine head with sweet expression, well-constructed all round with nice angulation fore & aft, good bone, tight feet, well coated with correct undercoat and nice feathering, a lively ground covering movement, dam of the RBB, her daughter has inherited many of her lovely points

3rd: 1192 PHELPS, Mrs Lesley Redfoxtor Blystra Bay
