I would like to extend my thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge this lovely breed and also to my efficient stewards. I really enjoyed my judging and found the overall entry to be of excellent breed type although movement could be improved. Thank you to the exhibitors for bringing your dogs for me to assess.

SBD/B (2 Entries) Abs: 0 

1st: CHAMBERLAIN, Mrs R Lasagesse Killer Queen At Mistioak - This bitch was just 8 months old, had candle flame shaped ears, long narrow skull, small dark eyes and scissor bite. She had a long graceful neck, low set tail and moved with drive. BSB 2nd: KIRTON, Mrs Christine Wykewoks Megga Dawn - Almost 2 years old and so much more mature, she had narrow chest and spring of ribs but I would prefer more neck. She had a wedge shaped head, rich tan but was apprehensive and not as good on the move as 1st.

1st: IMRIE, Mrs W Norris & LEONARD, Mr A White Knight At Witchstone - Neat and compact with a gleaming coat this 7 months old bitch really appealed to me; her head is wedge shaped with correct ears, dark almond eyes which were obliquely set. She had a long graceful neck , well laid shoulder, turn of stifle and moved with drive. BPIB 2nd: FRANCIS & BLATCHFORD, Mr & Miss Jw & W Witchstone High Spirits Of Peopleton -Just 6 months old and full of himself, this dog was bigger in frame than 1st but had good breed type. He had a wedge shaped head, high set ears, almond eyes and moved out well. 3rd: DEAN-ARMITT, Mrs Sarah Jane Etruria I Say

1st: DIXON, Mrs Lisa Jane & DIXON, Mr Graeme Am Ch Cottage Lakes Lasagesse American Pie (imp Usa) - I liked the size and balance of this 16 month old dog who was elegant and compact; his head was wedge shaped, he had a deep narrow chest and a rounded loin, but today not moving too well. 2nd: PENDLEBURY, Mrs C Ettology Stand And Deliver - This 9 months old dog had a gleaming black coat and rich tan; I liked his long arched neck and his spring of rib, but I would prefer him a size smaller.

1st: OAKDEN, Mr Anthony & CONWAY, Mr Paul Spawood Hey Mickey - Mature dog with a glossy black coat, rich tan and of excellent breed type. He was well balanced with a long graceful neck, deep narrow chest , well sprung ribs and turn of stifle. He had a long narrow wedge shaped head but a smaller more oval eye would complete the picture. 2nd: PEVY, Mr Ryan & LEONARD, Mr Andy Witchstone Won't Be Silent By Richpin - This small and compact dog was shown in gleaming coat and had high set ears, dark obliquely set eyes and a wedge shaped head. For balance I would prefer more reach of neck.3rd: FRANCIS & BLATCHFORD, Mr & Miss Jw & W Witchstone Nasabe Strike Up The Band

1st: LEONARD, Mr Andrew Ch Witchstone Nasabe Strikes Back - Just what I was looking for - elegant, well balanced, small and compact and presented in a thick and glossy black coat with rich tan. He had a wedge shaped head, high set, correctly shaped ears dark eyes and black nose. Well constructed with long neck, deep narrow chest, spring of ribs and turn of stifle. DCC & BOB 2nd: ROSKELL, Miss C Witchstone Silent Wish With Rahima JW ShCEx OSW Another quality dog, elegant but small and compact, with high set correctly shaped ears, slight stop and oval eyes. Well balanced with a gleaming coat but I would prefer a richer tan. RCC 3rd: LOVE, Mrs V A Witchstone Follow The Dream With Tettoy

1st: FORSYTHE, Mr Richard Ch Witchstone Raindance Avec Richpin JW - This 8 year old was in a bigger mould but was so sound. He had good reach of neck, layback of shoulder, straight front and turn of stifle. His wedge shaped head, well set ears and dark eyes completed the picture. BVIB 2nd: WHITEHOUSE, Mrs & Mr N & S Twowayshouse Tudor King For Dalmonde - I preferred the size of this 7 year old who was presented in gleaming coat. He had a typical head with dark obliquely set eyes but was not as sound in front as 1st.

1st: WILLIAMS, Mrs K & Miss C Sharex Dragons Black Opium I liked the long graceful neck and layback of shoulder on this 7 month old bitch whose wedge shaped head, high set ears and obliquely set eyes completed the picture. 2nd: PENDLEBURY, Mrs C Lasagesse A Kind Of Magic Of Pendlethrine Well balanced and compact this 7 month old had high set ears, well set eyes in a wedge shaped head but was not as positive on the move as 1st 3rd: CHAMBERLAIN, Mrs R Lasagesse Killer Queen At Mistioak

1st: DEAN-ARMITT, Mrs Sarah Jane Twowayshouse Touch Of Class Well balanced and presented in a gleaming black coat with rich tan markings she had a wedge shaped head, slight stop, high set ears and dark eyes. She was well constructed and moved soundly. 2nd: PENDLEBURY, Mrs C Wykewoks Autumnal Sunsetta Of Pendlethrine - This bitch was neat and compact with high set ears, dark eyes and black nose. I would prefer more length of neck for balance

OB (6 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: LOVE, Mrs V A Lasagesse Whole Lotta Love With Tettoy JW - This 2 year old was the best mover in the class. She was well balanced and was presented in a glossy black coat with rich tan markings. Her candle flamed shaped ears were set high and placed at the back of her wedge shaped skull . She had dark almond eyes and a scissor bite. She had a deep narrow chest and moved with drive. BCC which I understand is her 2nd, hope the 3rd comes quickly. 2nd: HAFFENDEN, Mrs Hazel & WOOD, Mr Jack Ch Nasabe Play The Game JW ShCEx OSW - Another quality bitch with a typical wedge shaped head with well placed ears, dark almond eyes and a black nose. I liked her size and balance and she had good neck and shoulders but was not as positive on the move as 1st.
