I enjoyed my day judging the Pomeranians and would like to thank the society for the invitation. I would also like to thank my wonderful stewards, Elaine and Tec, for keeping the ring running so smoothly and to the exhibitors – thank you for bringing your lovely dogs for me to judge

Minor Puppy Dog (6,3a) 1st - Bincombefarm The Hippogrif (Miss K P & Mr S French & Burnett). This orange sable was only six months old but he had plenty of furnishings for one so young. His skull was almost flat and he had dark oval eyes and black pigment. He was short and compact, had a high set tail and was good for breed type. 2nd  - Klassna Macho Is Back (Mrs N Davey) This seven month old orange sable had dark oval eyes and black pigment; he was short coupled and had a neat shape 3rd - Breezelyn Fluff ‘N’ Stuff (Mrs J & Mrs A Pike & Carter)

Puppy Dog (3,0) 1st - Fable The Small Step at Yanimas (Imp Kos) (Miss Y Brown) I liked the balance of this nine month old orange sable dog; he had a typical head with dark eyes and high set erect ears. He was in good coat, had a high set tail and his brisk and free movement won him the class and BPIB  2nd  - Bincombefarm The Griffin (Miss K & Mr D French & Ward) Just seven months old and litter brother to 1st in MPD, he has correctly set ears and a foxy expression but not as neat and compact as 1st. 3rd - Ferrari The Small Steps at Altina (imp) (Mrs C D Holman)

Junior Dog (4,0) 1ST - Klassna Prime Star at Diemzs (Miss E M Campbell) This thirteen month old dog had a rich orange sable coat of the correct texture, he was short coupled and compact and looked good in profile. He had dark oval eyes, black pigment and correct ear set. 2ND - Norvanik Shout Out at Bincombefarm (Mrs K & Mr N & Miss K P French) Almost flat skill on this fourteen month old orange sable who had dark eyes, a definite stop and a high set tail. He was compact and short coupled but not moving as well as 1st. 3RD - Divinity A Touch of Brooklyn at Altina JW (Mrs C D Holman)

Yearling Dog (2,1a) 1ST - Klassna That’s My Dream JW (Mrs L K & Mr J A Ellen) I loved the shape of this dog, round like a ball but underneath it he had a square compact body. His coat was full and of the correct texture and he had an attractive head with dark eyes. He had a short neck and well laid shoulders, but today not as positive on the move as I would like.

Post Graduate Dog (2,0a) 1ST - Emmett The Small Steps at Altina (Imp Kkc) (Mrs C D Holman) Just twelve months old but in full coat of a rich colour; correct skull and skull to muzzle ration, dark sparkling oval eyes and dark pigment . It was a close decision between these two lovely dogs but first took the class on his sounder movement. 2ND Altina's Kentucky (Mrs & Mrs Neve & Ridgett). Another lovely dog , small and compact with dark oval eyes which were well placed and foxy expression. He was well presented but today was just not moving as soundly as 1st.

Limit Dog (8,2a) 1ST - Poshdonpoms Touch of Class JW (Miss D Boyes) I loved this dog’s shape and profile; he was  short coupled and compact and so well balanced. He had well placed ears, dark oval eyes and correct muzzle to skull ratio. He moved freely and briskly showing off his high set tail and plume and was in full coat RDCC 2ND - Lireva’s Wild to Fly The Bear to Cassibawn (Mr L & Mrs N Gooch) This brightly coloured orange presented a lovely shape being short coupled and compact and in good coat. He had dark eyes and pigment and an attractive expression, another quality dog. 3RD - Pennygown Tiktok (Miss S Maclaine)

Open Dog (6,2a) 1ST - Ch Lireva's Wild and Wonderful (Mrs A L Cawthera-Purdy). This mature vivacious dog was exactly what I was looking for; he was small, short coupled and his orange coat was bright and clear. He had an attractive head with well set dark oval eyes, small ears, scissor bite and had the correct muzzle to skull ratio. He was well constructed with short neck, layback of shoulder, he was well ribbed and had turn of stifle enabling him to move freely and briskly. DCC & BOB 2nd - Ch Sueacres Catch A Dream JW (Ms S Smith) Slightly bigger than 1st, but still a quality dog; this orange sable dog was in abundant coat of the correct texture. He had an appealing head with dark oval eyes, dark pigmentation and scissor bite. He was well constructed and moved soundly. 3RD - Styalways I'm Still Standing (Mrs & Mrs Neve & Ridgett)

Veteran Dog (1,0) 1ST - Special Edition of Persimoone JW VW (Imp Ukr) (Mrs G Slough) This orange sable dog almost bounced around the ring, he was so happy to be out there showing. It is difficult to believe that he is 8.5 years old when he struts around the ring showing off his high set tail and full coat. He has a handsome head with dark eyes and pigment, high set ears and correct expression. BVIB
