1st 3012 Blamorder Copper Feel (Miss A Lusty)

Six months old, upstanding youngster presenting a really pleasing, well-proportioned outline. Masculine head with good length and clean, smooth lines, lovely parallel planes and a slight but perceptible stop. Well-tipped ears contributing to a pleasing, typical expression. Good length of neck and depth of chest, with strong bone and particularly pleasing, well-muscled hindquarters. Just a slight rise over the loin. Still needs to settle on the move, tending to be a little high stepping in profile and rather untidy coming and going. However, really liked his overall shape and proportions. A promising youngster with plenty to like as he matures. BD & BP

2nd 3009 Blamorder Deal Ore No Deal (Miss V J Glover)

Six months old, tricolour male, slightly smaller than the first and a little squarer in outline. Pleasing masculine head, although stop is a little more pronounced than I would prefer and one ear could be more firmly tipped, which detracts slightly from the desired expression. Good depth of chest, although a little shorter in neck and straighter in shoulder than the winner. Good feet and well-set tail. Gave his handler a little bit of a hard time today but was very sympathetically handled.

1st 3013 Koczkodan Well I Never (Mr A & Mrs S Metcalf)

Three year old, masculine male presenting a pleasing, slightly rectangular outline. Head could be a little cleaner and more refined, with a slight tendency towards a Roman nose. Ears are well tipped but he does not always make the best use of them, although they contribute to a more typical expression when he is alert. Lovely attentiveness to his handler. Good depth of chest, although a little wide in front, with a pleasing topline, muscular hindquarters and well-set tail. Moves reasonably well in profile. A pleasing dog with much to like about his overall construction.

1st 3017 Wynele Ace of Spades (Mrs L Young)

Fifteen months old, presenting a well-proportioned outline with excellent overall balance. Masculine head, although I would prefer a little more refinement through the muzzle to achieve the clean, finely chiselled appearance so characteristic of the breed. Both ears tipped, although could be a little firmer. Particularly liked his attentiveness to his owner. Good depth of chest and bone, well-developed hindquarters and strong hocks. Tail reaching the hock. Correct close-fitting coat, well presented. An appealing young dog whose overall shape and proportions particularly impressed. Well handled. RBD & BSB.

1st 3015 Blamorder Striking Steel via Koczkodan (Mrs K J Russell & Miss A Richardson)

Six months old, pretty feminine youngster with a well-proportioned head, correctly placed eyes and a lovely, typical sweet expression. Well-tipped ear. Good length of neck and depth of chest for her age although a little square in outline. Pleasing hindquarters with good length of tail. Correct white markings. Would like to see a little more strength in underjaw as she matures. Still very much a baby but with lots to like about her. Well handled.

1st 3008 Blamorder I Dreamed A Dream at Wystry JW (Mr G & Mrs M Davies-Brown)

Two-and-a-half-year-old tricolour bitch presenting a beautifully balanced outline. Attractive feminine head with correctly shaped almond eyes, well-tipped ears and a typical, intelligent expression. Ears could perhaps be set a fraction closer together, but she makes excellent use of them. Good length of neck and depth of chest. Particularly excelled on the move, demonstrating true, characteristic Smooth Collie action coming towards. Free, light movement in profile, maintaining her outline throughout. Correct, dense, weather-resistant coat, particularly evident as she entered the ring after being caught in the rain, yet the water had not penetrated through to the skin. Very well handled. BB & BOB.

1st 3010 Coldelee Busy Bein Fabulous (Mrs D L Jerrett)

Eighteen months old sable bitch presenting a pleasing, well-proportioned outline. Feminine head with well-tipped ears and intelligent expression. Good length of neck, firm topline and good depth of chest. Correct length of tail. Particularly liked her attentiveness to her owner. Both bitches in this class had much to like but preferred the more correct footfall and economical movement of this bitch. Really lovely, smooth profile action, giving the impression she could work all day. A very pleasing bitch who appealed particularly for her balance and movement. RBB

2nd 3011 Ch Coldelee Eternal Sunshine JW (Mrs D L Jerrett)

Four years old, another pleasing sable bitch with a particularly lovely feminine head and expression. Well-placed, correctly tipped ears, which she uses to advantage, giving her the expression so typical of the breed. Good length of neck, depth of chest and pleasing topline. Well-set tail with white tip and oval feet, although hind feet could be slightly more padded. A little straighter in shoulder than the winner and tends to move somewhat untidily coming and going, with a tendency to lift her feet a little too high in profile. Preferred her head and expression but the more economical and correct movement of the first decided the placings today.

1st 3014 Koczkodan Sweet Dreams of Lizoni (Miss A Richardson)

Seven-year-old bitch in lovely condition, presenting a pleasing, breed-typical outline. Feminine head with well-tipped ears and an appealing sweet expression. Particularly liked her attentiveness to her handler. Tail reaches the hock. Correct, close-fitting coat. Moves well in profile, showing a pleasing, easy action. Well handled and a credit to her owner for her condition. BV
