Richmond Dog Show

Italian Greyhound

A breed which I enjoy judging for their aesthetic elegant curving lines and fine quality and their very special movement This was a small entry of 17 but the open classes were full of quality . Many thanks to my steward who coped well and helped things run smoothly..

1 Carmody Crystaldrift Caerllion 4-year-old fawn. He is balanced but could use a little more chest, deep brisket. His front action could have more lift and reach.

2 Read Littlebriton All Of My Heart 2-year-old blue and white. More curvy and with a better chest. Very unsettled on table and floor today. I saw snatches of very good action but needs to gain confidence.

OD (5, 0) Excellent class. It was sad to see the unsporting behaviour from the exhibitor whose dog was placed VHC behind what I considered better dogs and declined to take his card.

1 Thorne Ch Boccalupo Lucky Luciano (Can Imp) 3-year-old. Good winner for shape and action. Good depth in frontElegant head and lovely lines, coat and skin. DCC & BOB

2 Amsel & Hayden -Smith Ch Artmeis Aces High Of Regallust (Imp) 3-year-old fawn. Lovely lines standing. A touch heavier in bone. Could have more lift in the front action. RDCC

1 Amsel & Hayden -Smith Birchwind Aurelia 13-month-old a lot of quality and type and shape with excellent chest and good depth. Although a little unsettled with her handler. I saw glimpses of clean front action and she is good in the rear.

1 Hayden-Smith Birchwind Morning Star litter sister to Junior winner. A little flat in topline at the moment. Sound both ends and has a little lift to her front action.

2 Downs Margaret Revillo Camellia 4-year-old. Bigger fawn with very good chest and good depth. Could have a longer croup to give a little more curve to her outline on the move.
