It was and honour and a pleasure to judge at this well-run friendly show and my thanks to all concerned for a super day and great hospitality and the anniversary gifts to judges and winners were a much-appreciated touch.

A lovely line up of dogs sent through, well-presented and in good form and temper. I decided for further examination, the Bearded Collie a close contender, Golden Retriever who put in a great performance, Shetland Sheepdog, West Highland White Terrier and Cairn Terrier who also deserved another look. After the final, run and observation it had to go to:

Best In Show 358 - Ch Burneze Reach for The Stars, Breed: West Highland White Terrier (Miss M Burns) Good skull, muzzle and lovely pigment, good eye colour, expression, set well apart. Very good head furnishing. Ears erect, small and well placed. Good neck clean shoulder, well-fitting elbows. Good depth and ribs well back. Strong loin well-muscled rear firm strong hocks, level back, well set tail not too long and well carried. Good bone, legs and good round feet. Moved with free easy action over ground holding balanced quality outline. Presented in good white coat with good undercoat and harsh outer coat

Reserve Best In Show 319 - Rannerdale Coco Pop, Breed: Shetland Sheepdog (Miss C J Stafford) A beautiful eye catching, small, balanced young lady of good type and outline. Presented in first class coat and condition. Elegant head with good skull and wedged shaped, gently tapering down to good nose. Medium well-placed eye of nice dark colour. Small ears with good width at base, well placed and carried. Lovey expression. Muscular neck into well-proportioned body. Good straight legs and stands on super feet. Good thighs, hocks and well-placed tail. Presented in good coat harsh texture and good mane, well furnished tail. Covered ring with smooth, graceful stride, hold lovely profile.

Best Puppy In Show 328 - Cuilshelties Touch of Class with Grandgenes, Breed: Shetland Sheepdog (Mrs S J Walker) A lovely balanced youngster presented in very good coat of harsh texture and with good furnishing. Head of good shape, elegant and with good eyes and well-placed ears of nice size. Good neck well laid shoulder and good legs and feet. Good rib, well angled rear and tail well set on low. Moved with free stride holding good shape and has much to appreciate.

Reserve Best Puppy In Show 175 - Cadagio That's What I Like, Breed: Cairn Terrier (Mrs M Hogarty) Head of good size with eyes set well apart good colour. Erect good shaped ears. Good neck body shape with good rib tail well set and carried. Good legs bone and shape of feet. Harsh coat and workman like with alert attitude. Moved with steady flowing gait over ring with good reach and holds nice outline. Promising

Reserve Best Junior In Show 439 - Blamorder Starstruck by Versatilis, Breed: Collie (Smooth) (Mr M & Mrs R Wensley) Head of good blunt wedge shape with flat skull, good eye and well-placed ears, nice size and well carried. Good neck, shoulder, lovely legs and feet. Good rib, loin, level back, firm elbows and well bent stifle. Good muscle and tail well placed. Good short harsh coat and in good body condition. Moved with good stride holding good shape. Another quality youngster of good type and size.

Best Veteran In Show 308 - Edglonian Starlet, Breed: Shetland Sheepdog (Miss D Pearson) Presented in fabulous harsh and was in very good condition for her age. Beautiful, small balanced lady with a lovely elegant head, super eye and expression and loved her ring presence and carriage. Good body shape straight legs on very good feet. Well bent stifle, tail well set on firm hocks. Moved with free stride, eye catching. Many breed virtues to appreciate.

Reserve Best Veteran In Show 130 - Linirgor Play My Song for Glenbuie, Breed: Retriever (Golden) (Mrs L Ogilvie) Another in super condition for age; Good skull stop and strong muzzle good depth. Ears well placed good shape and size. Muscular clean neck, good shoulder, depth tib and firm back well bents stifle good thigh and tail well set on. Good bone legs and very good feet. Presented in very good coat and condition. Good light golden colour and moved with good free stride with nice reach and holds good topline and head carriage.
