Thank You for a wonderful Show, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge at your championship show. At just 14 months old this dog is still maturing, has a masculine outline, headset nice with dark eye, ears set well, fair neck length, fore and hind quarters showing good angulations, moderately long body and well set tail, Movement was sound, straight carried to and fro covering the ring well.

2ND 2712 - Coeurflamant Aodhan (Mr M C Shortman)

Another 14 month old, and very similar to the 1st, headset having long, narrow head with a small, dark eye and a correct bite, well put together and showing plenty of promise, he presented as a slightly larger than the class winner, but has good balanced and proportionate, moved well around the ring but just not as well as my 1st.

1ST 2706 - Newguild Royale (Mrs K Bentley)

A dog of just 20 months old showing well above his maturity, headset strong and distinctly masculine expression, displaying good correct ear carriage and fall, dark relatively small eyes, fair length neck widening to well laid shoulder, straight fore legs, with good depth of body, bone is well developed and he maintains a strong, level topline leading to a high set tail. Coat is harsh and wiry. Hind quarters strong giving him the power to move around the ring with straight carriage to and fro, smooth with drive.

2ND 2715 - Bilarny Hotcross Bun (Miss M & Mr I Thomas & Print)

A 3 year old with moderate frame, good head proportions, flat skull, dark eyes and well set, fore legs are straight with compact, well arched feet, and he carries strong bone, neck of sufficient length, flowing into well placed shoulders and a firm, level topline, ribs are fairly sprung, tail is high set. Good fore and hind angulations allowing him to move well in front with good reach and drive from behind, this gave him the edge for the RD today.

1ST 2709 - Newguild River (Mr P & Mrs A Karau)

At just 21 months old standing alone today, nice feminine headset, flat skull, dark eyes, lovely expression, overall, well balances and of substance, coat in harsh wiry condition, on the move was covering the ring well but would like to see a little more drive from the hind quarters

1042. Irish Terrier - Open Bitch Entries: 3 Absentees: 1

1ST 2704 - Ch Holbam Celtic Rose (ai) JW ShCEx OSW (Mr R J & Mrs J A Atkin)

This nearly 4 year old is of good size with a well proportioned headset, good length of head, and dark eye, well set ears, fair length of neck and a straight topline. Deep chest and sprung ribs, muscular throughout, tail well set. Coat wiry and harsh in good condition, well handled and presented. Fore and hind construction and angulations good , giving her good movement around the ring straight and parallel to and fro, with drive that terriers should have. Gave me a good BoB challenger today.

2ND 2714 - Bilarny Edna Cotton Socks (Miss M & Mr I Thomas & Print)

This bitch heading toward 6 years old shows little signs of ageing, nice feminine headset with reasonable long flat skull, dark eyes, ears a little bit on the heavy side, but does not distract from the overall look. With good fore and hind angulations giving her straight driving movement around the ring while still showing she is enjoying it all.

1ST 2705 - Ch Holbam Celtic Summer ShCM ShCEx VW (Mr R J & Mrs J A Atkin)

Now at 10 years old, I have had the pleasure of her before she is still in excellent condition belaying her age, headset of good proportions, dark eye, long head, with dark eyes and well‑set V‑shaped ears. Forequarters are well set, straight legs, good depth of chest, well sprung rib, giving a balanced, racy outline and well set tail. Fore and hind quarters are strong; the coat is harsh and in good condition, well handled getting the most out of her around the ring today.

2ND 2710 - Ch Kerrykeel Aobheann (Mrs K J & Mr A R Oliver)

Another good veteran, at just 7 ¾ showing substance and is nicely put together. Headset is balanced, small dark eyes, well set ears. deep chest and a firm topline over a moderate length of body, coat in harsh wiry condition, body proportions are balanced, topline good, and tail well set. Moved well around the ring, showing drive, against a particularly good competitor today.
