Thank you for a wonderful show, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge at your championship show. My appreciation also goes to my stewards for their time and excellent assistance throughout the days. It was a real pleasure to judge Scottish and Irish Terriers. Thank you all for your entries and for the good nature shown by the exhibitors in accepting my decisions on the day. Hope you all found it as enjoyable as I did judging your wonderful dogs.

9 month old, being a little distracted in the ring today, headset maturing well, dark eyes and neat ears, give a pleasing outline. Has substance and balance, moving straight back and front, holding a level topline would like a little more drive but will come with age.

1ST 2810 - Glenaffric Hidden Magic (Miss H & Mrs S Miller) 

A 2 and bit year old Brindle, functionally sound throughout. Headset has correct bite, neat ears, expressive eye. Shows good bone, muscular neck, well rounded ribbing, and is nicely short coupled. Fore and hind angulation are well developed, coat is dense, harsh, and wiry. Movement is clean and purposeful, showing good drive while maintaining his level topline. 

2ND 2815 - Celmareva Hakuna Matata (Miss D J & Mrs H & Miss R Williams) 

This nearly 2 year old has a masculine head, headset shows good dark eyes and correct ears, harsh coat covering well, of good size and shape, back short, topline level. Moved freely with good reach, fair drive, straight out and back.

1ST 2807 - Millingford Blue Thunder (Mrs A & Mr J Kenny-Marriott & Marriott) 

Much to like about this 3 year old upon entering the ring, masculine, black dog who confirmed his quality both on the table and on the move. Headset is long, with clean skull and of good length, deep set eye of correct shape that gives him his intelligent expression. ears are correct, showing the classic profile. Muscular neck flowing into well sloped shoulders, carrying excellent bone throughout, level back. angulations fore and hind are well matched, allowing him to move with freedom, giving him the strength and drive which shows him well going around the ring. Just edging the bitch for BoB today.  

2ND 2816 - Divadell Who's to Say to Skircoat TAF (Miss D J & Mrs B & Mr D & Miss R Williams & Patchett & Williams & Williams) 

5 year old excellent classic type, another strong, masculine headset of good length, dark eyes that give a nice intelligent expression. Moderate neck flowing to well laid shoulders. stands over good space between the legs, topline is firm and level, with a correct tail set carried smartly. On the move he is steady, purposeful and true, straight both coming and going.

1ST 2803 - Kingsview Just Perfect at Evingbriar (Miss L Broome) 

A very nice 8 month bitch showing great potential. Headset is well balanced with a slight stop, dark eyes, neat erect ears, well developing bone, deep chest, tight elbows and a level topline with nicely rounded ribcage. Good fore and hind angulation, creating sound movement with a strong, smooth purposeful drive along with a few playful puppy hops (which is nice to see she is enjoying the showring). She was well presented and handled to get the best out of her. Think she will mature into a good prospect.  

2ND 2812 - Divadell Hecate (Mrs V & Miss F & Miss E & Mr D Norton & Norton & Norton & Wells) 

Another nice bitch at just 9 months old, pleasing outline, headset has nice length of head, a strong yet feminine shape, a dark, well set eye and ears. A little unsettled on the table but once on the ground moved sound and straight around the ring, good competition against the 1st today.

1ST 2806 - Glenaffric Starlit Magic (Mrs K Hoare) 

Maturing 2 and bit year old, nice brindle coat harsh dense, presenting a pleasing outline. A good headset with long flat skull, good depth of foreface, dark eyes and a well set ears, good through the neck and shoulder with a typical front assembly and balanced angulations. Showing good strength and drive on her movement with level gait.  

2ND 2811 - Divadell Harleyquinn JW (Mrs V & Miss F & Miss E & Mr D Norton & Norton & Norton & Wells) 

Another quality black coated bitch, a nice headset with feminine look, a good mouth, nice dark eyes with intelligent expression and correctly ears. A strong body, short back with a harsh coat, good topline and correct tail set, rear angulation giving her drive on the move, straight to and fro around the ring, although I would have preferred it a little cleaner to her outline.

1ST 2809 - Kingsview Just Eleanor (Mrs L Kirk Gellatly) 

A young entry for an open class but quality in buckets, a compact, short backed bitch of good size, moderate in all respects without any exaggeration. Headset with a long skull and foreface, dark eyes and neat, well placed ears contribute to a keen, intelligent expression. Well boned in front, chest of good depth and width, topline is short and strong, with well set tail. Fore and hind angulation is good making movement sound, with good footfall to and fro showing smooth free coverage of the ring. 

2ND 2808 - Millingford Out of The Blue (Mrs A & Mr J Kenny-Marriott & Marriott) 

A tough choice between these two today. This 3 year old has a lovely headset and expression, clean, balanced head, long foreface, typical skull, neat ears, dark eyes are well set under defined brows, a classic outline, with a moderate length of neck flowing, good width and depth of chest, Topline is short, strong, and level both standing and, on the move, hind quarters are powerful with good angulation, giving drive and a positive action.

A 10 year old of substance carrying her proportions well for her age, headset proportionate head, eyes dark and still expressive, ear well set, carrying more coat than others making her look lower to the ground, good bone, topline level.
