BATH CANINE SOCIETY CH SHOW MAY 2026 PORTUGUESE WATER DOG PD 2(0) 1. John’s Ankors Fraser River among Cristakell. Masculine headed dog, has good width in skull, ears set low, good bone to him, has some strength in foreface, moderate neck, nicely made front with straight forelegs, large round feet, firm top-line, could be a little bit shorter in loin for ideal, correct croup, tail length and tail carriage, moderate rear angulation, hock could be little more vertical for ideal, sound mover in front, just to strengthen up in rear but holds his shape on the move. 2. Rumming’s Rarjo Thane of Fife Macduff under Druavella. Slightly more compact than 1 in body, prefer a shorter foreface on him, eyes set wide and good colour, moderate width in skull,needs more defines stop,high set ear, short neck, could have a little better lay of shoulder for ideal, has depth to his chest and moderate spring of rib, level top-line, carries a good tail set and like 1 has well angled rear, just needs to tighten up in front and fill out but has nice parts to him. JD 1(0) 1. Williams/Newton/Slack’s Rarjo Earl of Fife Macduff. Nicely built dog, has some strength to him with a compact body, balanced head proportions with shorter foreface, short neck, has good straight legs to him, large feet, moderate neck, ribs are well sprung, quite mature for his age, firm top-line, slight slope to croup with excellent tail length and carriage, strong rear angulation with good length of hock, good buttocks, sound mover, moderate tuck up, places his feet well,good coat, DCC & BP. OD 2(0) 1. Williams/Newton’s Ch. Rarjo Captain Curl Macduff JW ShCEx OSW. Strong robust male, has width in skull, powerful muzzle of correct proportions and eyes set wide, ears just above eye line, strong muscular neck, he has straight forelegs, well sprung ribs and deep chest, would like him shorter in loin, he has strong loin with a moderate tuck up, strong muscled rear quarters on him, hock could be longer for ideal, he is a little loose in front on the move but he is quick and light trotting and covers the ground with a good tail carriage, masculine typy dog, just prefer him a little bit shorter for ideal, RDCC. Mardle/Barton’s Auldhelm Charmed One. Brown dog, pleasing head, eyes are set wide, could have a little more strength in skull for ideal and stop, tapered muzzle, correct short neck, a little out in elbow for ideal, moderate bone, good top-line to him, correct croup and tail carriage, muscled rear, on the move doesn’t quite carry himself as well as ideal, smaller dog but with good proportions on him, just like a little more animation, good coat texture, 2 different types of dog. Sp 1(0) 1. Rumming’s Rarjo Thane of Fife Macduff under Druavella. Repeat. BSpB. PB 2(0) 1. Williams/Newton’s Rarjo The Cross of Macduff. She has a balanced head, slightly shorter muzzle than skull and eyes are set wide, would like a little more strength in skull but she has tight lips, not overdone in neck, moderate bone for her frame, needs to develop in rib, would like a shorter loin, nice tuck up of belly, feet fairly flat, good rear quarters to her with good buttocks, nice width of thigh, moderate bend of stifle, tail set and carriage is good, holds her top-line, sound mover but still needs to fill out all through. 2. Mardle/Barton’s Winterkloud Sun Kissed at Auldhelm. Still quite raw and immature in body, she has a pleasing head, lovely dark eye set wide, ears set above eye line, also still to develop in skull for ideal, slightly shorter foreface, little bit narrow in front and needs to develop in rib, also could be a fraction shorter in loin but has level top-line, straight hindquarters , once she settles she has a light trot to her but is immature and needs to fill out all through. JB 1(0) 1. Williams/Kudo/Kiyoi’s Rarjo Thistle Macduff. Up to size but she is well put together, has some strength and substance, she has some width in skull, would prefer more definition of stop, has some strength in muzzle, tapered, tight lips and she has lovely dark eyes set wide, short neck, collected moderate front assembly with good ribs and chest on her, straight forelegs, good feet, excellent top-line, I liked her proportions of body and leg, she has some width in thigh, hock could be a little stronger, good tail set, positive mover with good footfall, would just scale her down a little bit. LB 2(0) 1. Kirk’s Adventurer’s All The Nights Like This of Belezaflor JW (imp FIN). Lovely headed bitch, correct short muzzle, defined stop, good strength of skull, eyes are set wide, tight lips, good strong body, correct more strength at the front than at the back, short neck, excellent forechest with good bone, super spring of rib that extends well back, deep chest, square outline, well angled rear, tail correct length, has a good top-line, when she settles she has a brisk trot to her, wavy coat, lots to like about her, full of breed type, pushed hard for top spot,RBCC. 2. McGill’s Winterkloud Rioja. Slightly finer built than 1, shorter foreface than skull, could be a little bit more broader for ideal but she has dark eyes, straight forelegs, ideally like more spring of rib on her and a fraction more bone on her, level top-line,short loin, straight stifle,ok buttocks,good tail set carried well and she is a steady mover but preferred the substance of 1. OB 3(0) Nice class to judge. 1. Slack/Newton/Williams’ Ch. Rarjo Macduff Making Waves with Megulcie JW. Best head in the class, has some strength in foreface, tight lips, lovely dark eyes set wide, has definite stop and good width of skull, large nose, goods shoulder with some forechest,elbows could be little neater, strong bone, robust look to her, short neck, good size feet to her, she is square in outline and correct size, ribs extend well back with muscled loin, good width in stifle, I liked her on the move, she places her feet well, correct croup and tail,she is very balanced for the breed, good muscle tone and lots to like, BCC & BOB. 2. Biss’ Ankors Aria. Slightly bigger bitch, under her coat she is square in outline, she has a pleasing head, I would like more strength in foreface for ideal but it is well proportioned, eyes are set wide, moderate width of skull, straight forelegs, could have a little more width through chest for ideal, again short neck, ribs extend well back, like 1 muscled loin, strong tail at the base carried well but could be shorter, good strength and length of hock, nice muscle tone, would benefit from less hair on forechest to enhance her shape, just preferred the head and chest on 1. 3. McGill’s Winterkloud True Thinkin.
