EABTC Championship Show 5th July 2025 

I would like to Thank East Anglia Border Terrier for the invitation to judge at their show,big thanks to my very able stewards on the day which kept my ring running very smoothly.

And a big thank you to all that entered under me for my opinion which you all took sportingly. 

Minor Puppy Bitch 8 (1 abs) 

1st Lowe & Miles-Rockslade Rave Review 

Coming up to 9 month grizzle and tan puppy,has a lovely feminine head,dark eye with keen expression,held a lovely topline on the move with good positive hind movement and good angulation.

2nd Pickering-Picer Berry Poppins 

Lovely grizzle bitch,again a lovely feminine head,dark eye and strong muzzle. Balanced in profile and held on move. Pushed hard against 1st another day could change.

3rd Heeley-Thistlemead Fedora 

4th Houlder-Furiation Firecracker At Theobroma 

5th Hall-Borderrush Bog Bean 

Puppy Bitch 6 

1st Stafford-Dassett Silhouette 

Super Blue and Tan bitch,one who certainly caught my eye upon first sight and continued to please. Super feminine head,with a moderately short but strong muzzle with good bite. Balanced bitch who held a lovely topline & shape all the way on the move. Great b&t jacket with just the right amount of ticking pleased to award her BPB and BPIS 

2nd Girling-Benattivo Vanity Fair 

Slightly bigger overall frame but one I liked a lot,typical in head and a keen expression,moved well and with purpose. Good lay back of shoulders. Good Super tight grizzle jacket, will watch her progress with interest. 

3rd Pickerin-Riseburn Rumour On Hobhill

Junior Bitch 1

1st Guvercin-Glebeheath Marigold

13 month old bitch,lovely strong,short muzzle,nice reach of neck into a well balanced body and when moved done so with such positivity to hold a super topline,but also created a lovely outline when stood. I was pleased to be able to award her RBCC today.

Yearling Bitch 9 

1st Barber-Alcumlow Sip And Swirl JW 

B&T bitch super well balanced,narrow build and easily spannable with the best of coats and good pelt. Held a lovely topline on move and stood,handled to gain the best from this bitch. 

2nd Dean-British Cooper Ziam Lawson At Cedarhill (IMP NLD)

Lovely 19th month old grizzle bitch,straight front with a lovely reach of neck and well placed shoulder, moved out well with good reach.

G&T bitch with lovely feminine head,good ear placement.

Easlily spanned with good lay back of shoulders.

Good topline on move and nice racy hindquarters.

2nd Sansom-Taraswell Hollywood Fame (JW) 

B&T bitch with a good head with dark eyes,nice length of neck leading into nice lay of shoulders. Harsh jacket and good pelt,moved with ease around ring.

Nice feminine head with a good strong muzzle,neat well set on ears,shown in full coat but carried it well,correct tail set which gave a good outline on the move and stood.

2nd Lawrence & Scrimgeour-Comalegy The Countess With Fiadhaich JW 

Nice typey bitch,good size and overall shape,straight front moved well. Slightly deeper than 1st but easily spannable. Moved well around ring.

Nice B&T bitch shown in a great jacket,good strong but not overdone head with keen expression. Good for and after movement and held a lovely topline around the ring.

Lovely feminine bitch with a good head and expression,narrow throughout and easily spannable. Moved better going away,but held a nice topline. 

3rd Dawson & Speake-Morley’s Miss Zeva

A quality bitch with a super head,good strength of muzzle.

Lovely level topline around ring with strong loin,and super short carrot tail. Shown in nice harsh coat with lovely pelt.

2nd Robert’s-Howthwaite Merrily To Smalesmouth 

Very smart bitch,larger overall than winner but still easily spanned. Typical head with keen expression. Moved well around ring and kept a good topline and create a good outline when stood also.

Grizzle bitch shown in super tight harsh jacket,super head with short muzzle and super bite. Narrow straight front,with a lovely reach of neck down to nice but not to deep body,Super topline going around ring ,very positive on move and with drive,moved well coming and going. Very happy to award her BCC today.

2nd Baxter-MySulan Rhapsody In Blue

Another super head,lovely dark eyes and keen expression. The best of b&t jackets. Moved with ease and confidence around the ring,splitting hairs in this class and unlucky to come against the winner today.

G&T bitch typical head,and good ear placement. Narrow and easily spanned. Sound on move.

2nd Hall-Borderrush Bog Bean 

Very much a baby who showed well,good head and correct ears,lovely harsh coat and moved out well with time everything will settle.

3rd Hill-Chickenstalk My Princess

I really like this girl she showed lovely enjoyment in her class,of good size,with a head of good shape and keen expression. Super tight jacket and pelt. Moved out soundly both for and aft pleased to award her BVB 

2nd Irving-Ch Dandyhow Pandora 

Another bitch who I liked for size & type,easily spanned. A good head with neat ears. Again moved soundly and with nice drive.

Minor Puppy Dog 2 

1st Cummins-Kewhaigh Confession 

B&T nearly 7 month old has a nice head and keen expression and good reach of neck,easily spanned. Nice correct jacket and pelt moved well around the ring. BPD 

2nd Black-Otterbobs Garnett At Brandycraig 

7 month old grizzle slightly longer in head than 1st but still a good expression with good ear set. Moved out well just could do from standing a little better. 

Puppy Dog 4 (1 abs)

1st Spafford-Dassett Eclipse 

Good head with slightly larger ears,but of a nice type. Nice neck that flowed to good shoulders,spanned ok. Coat not the best today.

2nd Rose-Ardenholm Prince of Thieves 

B&T dog a lot maturer than 1st with a strong head good set on ears and bite. Moved well around the ring and held his topline just preferred the overall balance of winner.

1st Girling-Tarkaswell Hollywood Rock Benattivo 

Nice grizzle Dog,up to size but in correct proportion, good head and keen expression,narrow throughout with super shoulders,moved out well once he settled and held a good topline.

2nd Tomlinson-Fairhambrook King Solomon 

Smaller framed dog but overall pleasing,correct head with well set on ears. Good shoulder and rib,could do with moving a little faster on move but did move well.

1st Yeates-Bluebabel Your Song 

Not a big dog but everything was correct,nice head with small dark eyes. Held a good topline on the move and was sound. Shown today in a super tight jacket.

2nd Hughes-Arunmere Rhapsody In Red JW 

Good red grizzle dog with a strong head and expression,nice topline and tail set,slightly longer in loin than my winner. Moved out well. Super double jacket.

Nice dog with a good strong head with keen expression who moved out well,he is longer in body than winner but held a good topline on move but just a slightly higher tail than I would prefer. 

Graduate Dog 2 

1st Tuffin-Flegato Fidelio At Oatberry 

B&T dog larger in size but overall a pleasing shape,typical head and expression. Good jacket and pelt. Held a strong topline on the move.

2nd Lorraine-Tomholme I’m An Upstart for Raleniro 

A pleasing head and expression,good jacket and pelt. Moved ok was a little uncooperative when moving,maybe going a little slower could help his overall picture on move.

Post Graduate Dog 6 (1 abs) 

1st Armstrong-Brumberhill Barnaby 

B&T male of stronger build but an overall appealing outline. Good strong head with strong muzzle and neat set on ears. Held a lovely topline on the move. Correct thick tail he carried well.

2nd windsor/Hitchens-Arunmere Bullet Proof JW

Up to size dog,strong head with keen expression. Ok to span and moved out ok and held his topline on the move.

1st Mooney-Chesterton Vancouver 

Lovely grizzle dog,good head with nice eye and keen expression. Held a super topline on the move shown in super tight jacket and with a good pelt. 

2nd Heeley-Thistlemead Fortitude JW 

Nicely presented dog,good head and ear set. For me just slightly longer in body than winner but this still made him an appealing overall look. Moved out well and held his a good outline.

Lovely grizzle dog presented in a lovely jacket,nice head with expression and dark eyes with a strong short muzzle. Held a super topline around the ring and moved with drive.

2nd Nettle-Onziemehurst The Red Baron JW 

Was a close up between him and winner today,good head with strong muzzle,a little larger overall than winner but still had a good outline,moved out well for and aft and kept a good topline.

1st McPherson-Ch Brumberhill Bit O’Blarney 

This dog caught my eye on entry to class today,and carried on throughout class. Super head with dark eyes and keen expression,lovely shoulder and upper arm. Has a super topline both on move and stood which flowed into super tail and set on correctly. Moved with drive and positivity for and aft. Was pleased to award him DCC and BIS 

2nd Lowry-Ravenside Rasputin 

Again another dog who I have admired from ringside and was pleased to be able to go over today,he did not disappoint. Super head and expression,lovely length of neck down to shoulders. Easlily spanned with good amount of loin,with good carrot tail set on correctly. Moved around with ease and drive. RDCC

What a super example of an older border,nearly 11 years old and does not show it. He has a lovely head with dark eye and expression. Such a super narrow dog with a lovely topline and today has a super tight jacket. He moved out well for one of his age, pleased to award him BVD and BVIS

2nd Taylor-Ch Barkanellie Blackadder 

A younger 8 year old veteran who again looks well,has a lovely head and expression,narrow throughout and kept a lovely topline around the ring super tail set held correctly,moved with ease around the ring.
