1st: 6322 LANE, Mrs & Mr K & S G Goldenessence Deep Impact Over Lanebern (Imp) Port a 15-month-old sturdy, predominantly black male, who stands over the ground presenting a pleasing overall outline. Attractive breed typical head which is masculine and of excellent proportions length to width with good eyes and ears. Head set on a strong, good length neck set into well-made forequarters with reasonable fore-chest. Nicely developed body with good length of ribbing with enough depth and spring of rib for age. He has enough leg length enabling him to move easily over the ground; excellent side gait.

2nd: 6325 MCNAMARA, Ms Louise Burnvale Echoes And Shadows a 15-month-old blanket black tri of heavier build than 1st and who has less ground clearance than 1st. Pleasing head shape, front could be tighter, well developed body with generous skin curtain. Moderately angled hindquarters which should strengthen with maturity. Would prefer more parallel hocks. A bit lethargic on the move.

1st: 6319 JOHNSTON, Mrs Sandra & JOHNSTON, Mr Tom Blevwil Ron Like The Wind To Burnvale (ikc) a quality 2-year-old mainly black/tri male who is mature and breed typical in appearance. He is well made, firm of substance with balance of profile. He has firm substance of body with a powerful look and has well defined clean lines. Excellent overall shape and of satisfying conformation being well proportioned, balanced and possesses desirable breed characteristics and conformation. Attractive, well-proportioned head shape with tight, clean well-shaped eyes. Ideal length of body with obvious fore chest, good depth and spring and being ribbed well enough back with firm top line. He is in pleasing body condition being well defined in muscled; balanced in angulations front and rear and stands over the ground. Easy sound movement with extension in front and especially powerful driving rear action, presenting a noble, confident head and tail carriage. My Dog CC winner.

Handsome, well shaped head with a calm, confident expression. True front with well-made forequarters and good forechest. Sturdy body with correct ribbing, depth, and balanced angulation. Outline would benefit from less loose skin, but he still maintains a firm, level topline, broad loin, and strong hindquarters. Moved with a purposeful, free, easy action more precise than 3rd.                                                                             3rd: 6303 BLEVINS, Mrs Lesley & BLEVINS, Miss Kelly UK Ch & Ir Ch Bromp Ronnie Smart For Blevwil Int J

Masculine head with a good length of muzzle and a calm, composed expression, though the eye rims could be tighter and muzzle shows a hint of age. He has a decent fore chest and a well boned front that would benefit from being tighter. Ribbing has good spring and length, supporting a firm, level topline. He impressed on the move, maintaining balance and purpose.

Class 2293 OB (5 Entries) Abs: 2

1st: 6302 BLEVINS, Mrs Lesley & BLEVINS, Miss Kelly Ch & Ir Ch Blevwil Heres To Harriett Ir J Ch A super 18 month old orange and white bitch of real quality. She is well made, well proportioned, and beautifully balanced, displaying the breed typical outline with her long, low frame, strong bone, and clean, flowing lines. She presents an attractive side profile, full of breed type, with correct length of body, a firm, level topline, and an underline offering the right amount of ground clearance for a workmanlike hound. Her head is beautiful: feminine yet unmistakably Basset, with the correct depth, length, and parallel planes, soft expression, and well set ears. She is soundly constructed in front, with a well developed sternum, tight elbows, correct width throughout, and strong, well knuckled feet typical of the breed. On the move she shows the classic Basset action — free, easy, and unhurried, covering the ground with reach and drive, maintaining her outline, and moving true behind with good width and parallel hocks. A quality young bitch, and I was delighted to award her the Bitch CC and Best of Breed.    2nd: 6328 PEARSON, Miss Y C Armardio Wind Of Change JW a sturdy, mature 3½ year old blanket red; she is well-made with a smart, well defined overall profile and firm level topline. She is balanced in angulation both front and rear, well ribbed back, and finished with full, rounded hindquarters. On the move, she shows purpose but a little unsettled and close in rear action.                                                        3rd: 6311 FREUDENREICH, Mrs Kirsty & FREUDENREICH, Ms CharloLockolea Circle Of Life
