A.V. GUNDOG CHAMPION STAKES (30,14)

1st Brown & Burns’ Sh Ch Magregor Four Letter Word for Pothouse JW (GSP) - A high-quality dog of excellent breed type and balance. Strong, masculine head with a clean outline and correct proportions to the body. Good length of neck with a slight arch, flowing into a well-constructed front. Straight forelegs, good depth of chest to the elbows, well-sprung ribs and a strong, short back. Firm topline held well in motion. Shown in a good harsh-textured coat. Moved with purpose, displaying good reach and drive.

2nd Crookes & Jenkinson’s Sh Ch Quakerhall Flare By Pandora JW (Retriever Golden) - A bitch who won on her overall shape, being compact, balanced and typical. Feminine head with a kind expression and correct dark eye. Good neck into well-laid shoulders and straight, well-boned forequarters with tight, cat-like feet. Good spring of rib, short loin and level topline. Well-bent stifles with good rear angulation. A happy girl who enjoyed her day out. Moved with good reach and drive.

3rd Beecham’s Sh Ch Crumbledor Albus Dumbleor at Rydonmist ShCEx (Spaniel Sussex).

A.V. WORKING/PASTORAL CHAMPION STAKES (21,14)

1st Slack, Newton & Williams’ Ch Rarjo Macduff Making Waves with Megulcie JW (Portuguese Water Dog) - A stunning Portuguese Water Dog, particularly impressive on the move. Lovely head with good expression, clean, short neck and dark pigment. Good topline, deep chest with good spring of rib and short loin. Excellent feet with good overall construction. Correct tail set and carriage. Moved with purpose and style.

2nd Taylor & Michalski’s Pol Ch Dom Corgi Easy Boost (Welsh Corgi, Cardigan) - A happy male Cardigan Corgi with good breed type. Fox-like, masculine head with good expression, dark eye and good erect ears. Short neck, good topline and a happily wagging tail. Good bone and substance with a deep chest, good spring of rib and correct length of loin. A pleasing dog who showed his character and enjoyed his day out.

3rd Jarram & Whittingham’s Ch Chalksville Strike A Deal with Kashella JW (Australian Shepherd)

A.V. TOY/HOUND CHAMPION STAKES (25,22)

1st Hallum, Kite & Gillespie’s Ch/Am Ch Klassic’s Cloudside Walker (Imp Usa) (Basenji) - A masculine dog with good breed type and balance. Correctly wrinkled head with erect ears and a alert expression. Well-laid shoulders, tight feet and good overall construction. Well-sprung ribs with a short loin. High set tail which was carried well. Strong, well-muscled hindquarters and a good topline. Moved out well with drive and purpose.

2nd Nash’s Ch Tokaji Moon Over Miami with Mutoko JW ShCEx OSW VW (Basenji) - A feminine bitch with a clean, elegant neck. Deep chest with a short loin and good overall body proportions. Good front and bone, with moderate hindquarters and a well-curled tail. Topline could be more even. Moved soundly.

3rd Brady’s Ch Classicus Azim for Bordercot (Saluki).

A.V. UTILITY/TERRIER CHAMPION STAKES (18,11)

1st Shields’ Ch Liatch Madame Pommery at Wilholme JW ShCEx OSW (Border Terrier) – Bitch who has lovely breed type. Harsh coat of correct texture. Otter head with dark pigment, good eye and keen expression. Clean, long neck flowing into a good front assembly. Good span of ribs with moderate hindquarters. Moved out with good effort and purpose.

2nd Johnson’s Ch Valleyrise Illustration (Kooikerhondje) - A bitch who impressed for her lovely shape, balance and breed type. Feminine head with good nose, expression and well-tipped ears. Clean neck, correct bone and good feet. Tight, level topline with correct tail carriage. Balanced throughout and flowed around the ring.

3rd Peaskin’s Ch Libble Du Manoir Saint Adrien at Byzantine (Imp Fra) Fox Terrier (Smooth).

A.V. TERRIER BREEDERS' COMPETITION (4,0)

1st Satherley’s – Silkcroft – Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - A perfectly matched team, presented and handled beautifully. All showing excellent ring training and preparation. They moved out together with great coordination and purpose.

2nd Hannington’s – Boudivella – Glen of Imaal Terrier - Another good team, well handled and presented. Once they found their rhythm, they moved out well together, showing good coordination.

3rd Baldwin’s – Woolytop – Bedlington Terrier
