Thank you so the society committee for asking me and looking after me so well. My stewards Bill & Trisha Gray were incredible so huge thank you to them. There was a good atmosphere, and my decisions were accepted in a very sporting manner. Awarding the CCs was easy but the RCCs were tricky as I could have handed out several.

1ST 1213 - Hundwith Gullfoss (Mr D J Crowther)

A very naughty but beautiful puppy that moves like a dream. His head is still coming on but has equal planes, a decent size nose and good teeth. Lovely long lobular ears well set. Moderate is the key and he has a good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders and an equally long upperarm with nicely tucked in elbows. Correct length to height ratio of 12:10 with ribs going well back and short loin. Fabulous hindquarters with moderate angulation and a good tail set. I look forward to seeing how he develops. I remember liking his sire when I judged in 2017

On the day BP in breed though the Bitch puppy was just as good and better behaved I just loved his movement.

1ST 1217 - Theondale Hopeful Heart JW (Mrs D Dobbs)

Only 15 months old but what a lovely type. He has a lovely head with a very aristocratic expression, nothing harsh. Long and lean with a prominent occiput at one end and a decent nose at the other. Lovely long lobular ears Moderate and strong neck. Beautifully well laid shoulders and excellent return of upper arm. Ribs going well back and creating the correct length to height proportions that make a Weimaraner what it is. Lovely strong hindquarters with moderate angulation. He powers around the ring covering the ground easily with plenty of reach and drive. I wasn’t surprised to realise I gave his dam the BCC last time I judged. And his sire who I also like and is a very moderate dog is producing some quality offspring. DCC

2ND 1238 - Weipowa Shaken Not Stirred to Britmans (Ms J Pearman)

A powerful upstanding dog in super fit condition. A different type to 1 but a quality exhibit. He has a noble head with a lovely expression and nothing I didn’t like. His strong neck flows into well laid shoulders. He has plenty of depth of chest and forechest and a good length of rib. Very strong muscular hindquarters. A powerful mover. I just preferred the topline and balance of the first dog.

1ST 1208 - Gunalt Cocktails and Dreams JW (Mr S & Miss P Aziz & De Beer)

So this is a curious dog. He looks fabulous stacked up and he knows what to do. He doesn’t need too much help. His head is strong and a little broad through the cheeks for me. But he has a strong and good length of neck and excellent shoulders. His topline is lovely and smooth from neck to croup and he has a strong rear. He moves with purpose, straight and true but I think he might take off if he could. There is enough of him all over and he was very close to being awarded the RCC

2ND 1220 - Schonhund Show at The Oscars JW (Mr A & Mrs T Hawkins)

This is a well made but big dog. If he was about 10% smaller all over he would be a little more refined. He’s got a pleasing head with a noble expression and a strong neck. Plenty of forechest and depth of chest. His shoulder could be a little more laid back and that takes away from his topline. But he is of good proportions length to height and he has good hindquarters. He moved well and his handler did well to control his power.

1ST 1219 - Sireva Maestro (Ms M Gatt)

A young 2 year old dog of very moderate size. He may be of a smaller type but everything is in the right place. He has a pleasing head and a lovely flow from his neck through the topline and to the croup. He has a good straight front and tight feet. He is fit condition and was well presented. I would just like a bit more of him all over.

2ND 1230 - Sabsky Karlstejn (Mrs D J & Mr J R Kerslake)

A very young dog that was in almost every class but he definitely needs the practice. He is a nice dog it’s just difficult to see his qualities because he doesn’t stand still. I can see he has a really nice personality his tail is wagging and he has a kind eye. He’s a nice type and well constructed and masculine without being heavy. If he could just turn down the speedometer his movement would be better. He has plenty of reach and drive just needs to control it. If the handler can just steady him I think they will do well.

1ST 1250 - Braefell Blackthorn JW (Mr M A & Miss D L Sayer & Wallwork)

A very moderate dog of correct size and proportions. He won this class on his movement as he was one of the few that kept their topline. He has nice head qualities, very lean and clean and correct ear length and set. He has good shoulders and good bone and he generally flows well from the front to the back. I would like a bit more forechest but he’s a moderate dog in every way. He moved beautifully and that’s what won him the RCC

2ND 1237 - Silberliss Bombadier (Mr R & Mrs L & Mr C Osborne-Fardon)

So from one that I would like a bit more of to one I would like a bit less of. However, this dog is well balanced he isn’t out of proportion anywhere. He has a pleasing masculine head and ears are good. He needs to place his back feet an inch further out as when underneath him his topline dips a touch. Also, and I’ve done this myself the lead is too far back and cuts his length of body up. He’s a good mover, Straight and true going out and back and lovely in profile reaching out well. A good honest dog that looks like he could do the job he was bred for.

1ST 1222 - Sh Ch/ir Sh Ch Weipowa Double O’seven JW (Miss C Hill)

This is a very upstanding dog. He’s a champion and a worthy one and he knows it. He is big and he stands over his ground. He has a confident air about him. His head is long and lean and refined with good work and he has good ear length. He has a good flow from a moderate strong neck into well laid shoulders and a good length of rib. Plenty of depth of chest and enough forechest. Strong hindquarters and good feet. A powerful muscular dog that covers the ground easily. Of course he was in the running for the CC but I just preferred the head and the topline of the dog I gave it to.

2ND 1210 - Aschfahl Kepanye JW (Mrs C A Carpenter)

Another strong dog of a good size and build. He has a pleasing head if a touch broad for me. He has a good length of ear and a strong neck. Good brisket and length of rib followed by a strong loin. He has strong hindquaretrs and a good tail set. I just prefer the movement of the first dog.

1ST 1252 - Skilaki Move On Up to Bifonda JW (Mrs T Snaith)

I remember this dog from a few years ago. He is a very good type and has typical Weimaraner qualities that are missing in some dogs. He has a lovely long lean aristocratic head and good bone with a long rib cage. He’s getting on a bit now so his rear isn’t as powerful and strong as it once was but he’s just so totally a Weimaraner.

2ND 1234 - Ir Sh Ch Silverkelvin Jupiter over Magdala VW Cw22 (Mr A & Mrs P Mcmahon)

A different type to 1 but a very fit and able dog. He stands over his ground well and moves very strongly both fore and aft. I would like him to be a touch longer in the ribs to give a better length to height ratio but a good example of a fit Weimaraner for sure.

1ST 1232 - Meinweg Autumnal Frost Aw(s) (Ms B J Martinez) So this is a dog that can look good and also not so good. He is a fidget when stacked so it’s hard to assess his topline which he loses at times. He is a moderate well proportioned dog. He’s a bit jowly around the neck and he carried his tail too high but he’s sound and fit.

1ST 1228 - Brownbank Florentine (Miss D Kerr)

6 months to the day. What a little star. She didn’t put a foot wrong. She has a very appealing clean head with good proportions. Lovely long ears, well set. Beautiful flow from her slightly arched neck into her lovely topline and croup. She has a good front and depth of chest and nothing out of place at all. Nice angulation lovely bone and good feet. Honestly there was nothing I didn’t like I just wanted her to be a bit cheeky and show her personality but really she is lovely and I think she will do well and so well handled too. She could easily have been BP it was a close call.

2ND 1259 - Sharnphilly She's A Cracker with Roydack (Mrs S & Miss H Upton-Lovett & Upton)

7months and yet less mature than the first puppy. It’s quite normal for Weimaraner puppies to be slow or fast maturing. She has a lovely sweet head with correct moderate stop and correct proportions. Good ear length and again a lovely flow from the neck through the nice topline and onto a slightly sloping croup. Everything about her is moderate and not overdone. Good angulation and a strong rear and lovely feet. She just needs to settle but she is exactly what I would expect her to be at this age. I thought the handler did well and was very kind and gentle with her.

2ND 1254 - Silberliss Diamond Cut (Mrs M Suett)

Looking at her breeding I see I met her sire and dam in the veteran classes. She has a lot of the very good qualities of both dogs. She has good length to height proportions and in profile the right amount of forechest and depth of brisket. She has a pleasing head and moderate length of neck. Good shoulders and length of ribs. Strong rear end and good tail set. Moved well just not as together as the first puppy.

1ST 1248 - Minstergate Celebration (Mrs C Rodgers) At just over a year old she is looking good. She looks excellent in the stack and is a very upstanding girl. She has a lovely head, long and lean and moderate stop with a nice eye shape and lovely ears. Her proportions are good and she flows from front to rear. At the moment she’s a tiny bit high on the leg but I am sure she will drop into herself and fill out. I look forward to seeing how she matures and today she was very much in the challenge for the RCC

2ND 1224 - Theondale High Hopes JW (Mrs T A Hostler) Sister to the dog ticket winner. A very good type and has a lot of qualities. Nice head with lovely ears. But today she seemed out of sorts her topline let her down maybe she was tired. But otherwise lots to like and I’m sure she will be more together on another day.

1ST 1245 - Enjager Elegance for Brownbank JW (Mrs C & Mrs S Rayner & Maskell)

One I have followed and admired since she was a really super puppy. I actually prefer her now that she has refined and matured. She has an elegant head and an over all flow throughout. She is well bodied and has good bone and lovely feet. She was also a good challenger for the RCC but unlucky to meet the winners who won on maturity. I’m sure she has a good future.

2ND 1226 - Wallaroo Red Dwarf (Dr L Jennings)

Overall a nice youngster of good proportions and type. But she’s going through a stage of being leggy and lean, I am sure she will fill out a bit. Nice type of head and a good flow from front to back. Moved ok

1ST 1249 - Stormdancer Goo Goo Doll (Ms S & Miss D Rowbury & Tranquada)

Lovely proportions and showed so well. She has a pleasing head and a good flow from her neck to her croup. She is the correct size and has a good length of neck and a correct length of rib and a good rear. She presents a very balanced picture. On the move she is very steady and true, There isn’t anything I didn’t like and she could easily have been awarded high honours.

2ND 1221 - Longlox Celestial Star at Falconwoodz JW (Miss V Hays)

Another very nice youngster. She is a longhair and has the correct length and quality of coat Everything is very balanced even though she feels quite tall I think its how she holds herself. She has a lovely head and expression and good ears. But what I like most is that she says look at me. She has a great personality and likes to show off on the move. She has a straight front and good feet and strong hindquarters. She has a lot of energy and I like that. I really hope she fulfils her potential.

1ST 1207 - Gunalt Gift of The Gab JW (Mr J & Mrs C Anderson)

I’ve liked this girl since I met her as a puppy and she is maturing well. Today in the challenge I felt she seemed a bit lacking of va va voom so she sank down into herself a bit. She has a very nice typical head. Clean and nicely worked with long and beautiful ears. Excellent front assembly with a good length of rib and strong loin and excellent hindquarters. In such strong competition I felt I would have liked her to move as I know she can.

2ND 1214 - Hundwith Step in Thyme (Mr D J Crowther)

A quality more mature girl who really showed well. She has a lovely head and expression and a nice clean moderate neck with a good topline and a very good strong rear. She is quite a tall elegant figure and she moves very well.

1ST 1263 - Sh Ch Gunalt Wavelength JW ShCEx OSW (Mr C & Mrs J West)

Ok so I have judged this lady before in 2022 and gave her the post graduate class. I think she has really matured beautifully. I looked at her sitting to one side in the ring while waiting for someone to set their dog up and I just thought that is the way a Weimaraner head should look. So classic with long lean chiselled features, so refined and with those unique ears that only this breed has. Everything about her is balanced front and back in the correct length to height ratio. The topline is perfect and she retains it on the move. She is the correct size and reminds me of dogs I admired in the past from this kennel. I was delighted to award her the CC & BOB

2ND 1209 - Sh Ch Weipowa Severine (Miss A Balch)

A different type to the first one in the class but nevertheless a quality balanced dog. She has a nicely worked head which is feminine and such a sweet expression. She is a very fit dog. She has a good length of shoulder and return of upper arm and she has a long rib cage well sprung. Strong loin and good powerful quarters. She moves very true going out and back. I liked her a lot and she did well to beat some others I liked to win the RCC

1ST 1215 - Silverweis Sparkler (Mrs M E Dennis)

A dog that is 7 years of age but doesn’t seem like it compared to others the same age but who seem older. She is nicely balanced and flows well from front to back. Lovely head and neck. I would like a touch more forechest and she moves a touch wide in the front but that maybe her age. Nevertheless she deserved the class and to be awarded Best Veteran in Breed.

2ND 1257 - Sh Ch Silberliss Solitaire (Mrs M Suett)

She is very nice. She has a lovely head and expression. I like her length to height proportions and her angulation. I felt she is losing her topline a bit and her undercarriage is not as tight as it once was. But she is a sound well made type. She is a fabulous mover.

1ST 1231 - Chilternway Coriandrum (Miss K M & Mr T N Lord & Broomfield) Nicely balanced youngster who I feel just needs to mature and have some confidence on the move. She has a sweet expression and lovely head properties. She moves well if she can just get her head up a bit more she is there. Keep at it she’s still only a baby

2ND 1235 - Akwamar Back Street Girl (Mrs S & Mr C Moll) Another youngster who I think was having an off day. She didn’t move well without her owner/handler and even stacked she has looked better. Don’t despair she is nice she will have better days.

1ST 1247 - Ir Sh Ch Thrihyrne Love Letters (Mrs P J Reakes)

At 5 ½ years old she is in her prime. She is very balanced has good bone tight feet and a very pleasing head. Plus she is a perfect size. She moves very well and carries her tail correctly. But when stood she leans back and it is a shame because I feel she is lacking confidence or maybe she was just tired. Like another one I like she drops down a bit into her own body. A shame because I think she is very nice.
