I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this lovely show. We enjoyed a good-sized in/out ring, and the weather was very favourable. My sincere thanks go to my efficient steward, who managed everything admirably on her own and kept us all in good order. A huge thank you to all the exhibitors for the absolute pleasure of judging your lovely dogs. It made for a thoroughly enjoyable day, with quality, happy and clean dogs throughout. I am very much an 'on the day' person, especially regarding movement, and placings were very close in several classes.

1ST 3972 - Sh Ch Quakerhall Pandora's Bounty JW (Mrs D S & Mrs R J Crookes & Jenkinson)

Wow, what a stunning mid-gold bitch, nearly nine years old and still looking fabulous, earning her a place in my final four for top awards. She presents herself with remarkable confidence and joie de vivre, making her impossible to overlook. When standing, she displays impressive stature and a pleasing, balanced outline. Her head is pretty and well-proportioned, with a keen and gentle expression. She has a strong neck of good length, a well-laid shoulder, a firm topline, and excellent tail carriage. There is a lovely depth to her brisket and good fill in her forechest. She stands on well-boned limbs and tight feet. Her hindquarters are strong and wide, with a well-bent stifle that she uses to drive powerfully around the ring, maintaining lovely head carriage and poise. Just not quite as precise today when coming towards me, she showed excellent rear drive. Beautifully presented and expertly handled. Delighted to award her BVB & with co-judge BVIB

2ND 3994 - Benrowan Esprit VW (Mr & Mrs W Hush)

Lovely nine-year-old bitch, who prevailed over another nice bitch thanks to her flowing movement while maintaining her outline. Although she did not quite have the overall balance of the winner, she possesses a nicely proportioned headpiece, with a distinguished touch of grey. Her neck is strong, complemented by excellent depth and forechest, and a well-sprung ribcage. She maintains a firm topline with good tail carriage. Her strong hindquarters are put to good use, driving her powerfully around the ring, to show reach and drive. presented with a dense coat with a slight wave

1ST 3970 - At Quakerhall Trinity Du Bois De La Rayere (Imp Fra) (Mrs D S & Mrs R J Crookes & Jenkinson)

Oh my, what a delightful seven-month-old dark golden bitch. Although still very raw at this stage, she shows tremendous promise and was an absolute pleasure to judge. For her age, everything is in the right place. She won a competitive class of lovely youngsters thanks to her overall balance when standing and her clean, effortless movement. She has a pleasing head with good eye colour and pigmentation and displays both length and strength in the foreface. She maintained a good topline at all times. As expected at this age, she is still developing in body, but her chest is already down to the elbow, and her ribs are well carried back. Her hindquarters show good width of thigh, pleasing bend of stifle, and low-set hocks. She strode out confidently on the move. BPB

2ND 4040 - Messano Sweetness and Light (Mr P D & Mrs J L & Ms D Seamons & Seamons & Beeson)

Lovely outline on this pale eight-month-old bitch. She shows impressive balance on the stack, with good length of leg. Her head is very pretty, displaying equal proportions of backskull and foreface, and her soulful dark eyes, combined with dark pigmentation, create a gentle expression. She has a good length of neck flowing into a firm topline and is developing nicely through the body, with depth to the brisket and spring of rib. Her hindquarters are strong and being short hock to heel. Not quite the precision of movement of the winner today, I appreciated her reach and drive in profile.

10-month-old mid gold bitch who showed good overall balance and proportions. She has a feminine head, with good width to the backskull, attractive chiselling, and a dark, kind eye. Her neck is of good length, leading to well-boned limbs and tight feet. She is just right in body for her age. Slightly close behind and not quite as collected in profile today as winner, but she demonstrated good reach and drive.

1ST 3958 - Fenpinque Royal Glow (Ms Campion)

Loved this 13-month-old pale bitch, who was among my final four for top awards. She has a beautiful outline, blending substance with feminine elegance. Her size and balance are ideal, with harmonious angulation. Her head and expression are most endearing, and she is so eager to please her handler. She possesses a clean neck of good length, a firm topline, and a well-set, well-carried tail. Her strength and substance are evident, with a well-developed forechest, good depth of brisket, and ribs that are well-sprung and carried back. Presented in full bloom, her dense, flat coat is complemented by her feathering. She is a stylish mover, displaying parallel rear action with good width and showing enthusiasm and pizzazz in profile. Although she lost a bit of sparkle in the final challenge, I am confident she has a bright future ahead.

2ND 4027 - Cherrimar Electra (Miss V & Mr P Poile & Blackboro)

Seventeen-month-old darker golden bitch, presenting a different type to the winner. She has good length of leg paired with a compact, balanced outline. Her head is pretty, well-proportioned, nicely chiselled, and features a dark, kind eye. The neck is of good length, flowing smoothly into a firm topline. While she does not yet have the body or forechest of the winner, she is developing well. She demonstrated pleasing profile action on the move.

1ST 4003 - Haydengold Latest Gossip JW (Ms L List)

20-month-old pale bitch with much to admire. She presents a shapely outline that flows smoothly from nose to tail. Her body lines are graceful yet carry the desired substance and bone. She has a balanced, feminine head with good width, slight rounding of the backskull, and both length and strength in the foreface. Her dark eyes and pigmentation create a delightful, expressive look. I appreciated her well-developed forechest and depth, with ribs carried well back. She holds a firm topline and has strong, hammy, muscular quarters. On the move, she moves well in all directions and works in harmony with her handler. She is sure to continue blossoming with maturity.

2ND 4008 - Lovissa Seeing Stars JW (Mrs M C & Mrs L Loverock & Waldron-Smith)

Another very smart youngster, this 18-month-old mid-gold bitch displays a clean, flowing outline and a good length of leg, resulting in a proportionate and shapely profile. She features a balanced head with a gentle, melting expression. Her neck is clean and of good length, smoothly transitioning into a firm topline and well-set tail. While her forechest is not quite as developed as the winner's, she shows lovely depth in the brisket, with her ribcage carried well back to a short, strong loin. Her angulation is balanced both fore and aft. She moved with drive and animation.

She exhibits pleasing ratios between backskull and foreface, enhanced by a dark, expressive eye. Her strong neck of good length flows smoothly into a well-held topline and tail. A happy and outgoing pale 21-month-old bitch with lovely substance and bone, confidently showing herself off. She has a feminine head of pleasing proportions, a gently rounded backskull, strength in the foreface, and dark eyes and pigmentation that contribute to her kind, gentle expression. She is well developed through the body, boasting a good forechest, deep brisket, and well-sprung ribs. She stands on well-boned limbs and tight feet, using her hindquarters to advantage on the move. She has a pretty head with a gentle expression, and her neck has good reach, flowing seamlessly into a firm topline. I admired her forechest and depth, with ribs carried well back. 1ST 4007 - Lovissa Cosmic Girl (Mrs M C & Mrs L Loverock & Waldron-Smith)

A very honest and shapely 3-year-old who gave an excellent account of herself to win this class. When standing, she presents a classic outline, with good length of leg and balanced body proportions. Her head is appealing, complemented by a dark eye colour. She has a clean neck leading into a firm, level topline and a well-set, well-carried tail. I would like a little more forechest, but her forelegs are well under her, and she created a beautiful picture on the move. She moved cleanly and true, maintaining her outline with good head carriage throughout.

2ND 4039 - Messano Snap Crackle and Pop (Mr P D & Mrs J L Seamons)

There is much to commend in this mid-gold bitch, who is approaching three years of age. She presents a lovely shape on the stack, combining strength with feminine elegance. Her clean, flowing outline begins with a beautiful head and gentle expression. She has a good length of neck and a firm topline. I admired her forechest and depth, along with a short, strong loin that finishes with wide, muscular quarters. Although she was not quite able to match the clean fore and aft action of today's winner on the move, she held her shape well and was presented in good coat and condition.

An honest, workmanlike, darker bitch, fully mature at almost four years of age and presenting as the finished article. Nothing is overdone, she is beautifully balanced, proportionate, and displays feminine strength throughout. Her head is so feminine and appealing, with a good width to the backskull, a pleasing length of foreface, and a kind, dark eye. She is well developed through the body, with a brisket well let down and a well-developed forechest that brings her strong, well-boned forelegs nicely under her. She holds a firm and level topline both standing and on the move. Her strong, wide quarters feature well-bent stifles and excellent muscle tone. On the move, she truly comes into her own flowing effortlessly around the ring, you can almost see her smiling with pleasure as she covers the ground with reach and drive, moving true both fore and aft. Delighted to award her the RBCC

2ND 3957 - Fenpinque Glamourglow (Ms Campion)

A superb 5-year-old pale bitch, truly eye-catching when standing and exuding character and zest for life. She is of a different stamp and was very close up to the winner. I admired her outline and proportions, with each part flowing seamlessly into the next. She has a quality headpiece and a melting expression. Well developed in body, she possesses a good forechest, depth to the brisket, and a well-sprung ribcage carried back to a short, strong loin. Her hindquarters are lovely, with wide thighs, a good bend of stifle, and short hock to heel. Today, she was not quite as precise coming and going as the winner, but she maintained an appealing outline, showing reach and drive. She was presented in super coat and condition.

She has a shapely silhouette where each part flows seamlessly into the next, combined with an adoring rapport with her handler. Their partnership gives that elusive sparkle to her performance. She has a feminine head with balanced proportions and a gentle expression from her dark eyes. Her clean neck of good length flows into a firm, well-held topline. She shows lovely depth and spring of ribcage, leading to strong, well-muscled quarters. She did not disappoint on the move, with precise footfall, ground-covering action, and a lashing, well-carried tail to finish the picture. Beautifully presented and expertly handled. Delight to award her the BCC, and in agreement with my co-judge, going onto win BOB - Congratulations

2ND 3983 - Ch Dewmist Tanzanite (Mr H Fryckstrand)

A beautiful pale bitch approaching five years of age, she presents a truly lovely outline when standing, shapely but not overdone, naturally drawing the eye to her. Her head is feminine, with balanced proportions from backskull to foreface, nicely chiselled, a dark eye and pigmentation that creates a keen yet gentle expression. There is a graceful flow through her neck and topline, which is firm and level, leading to a well-set and constantly used tail.
