 South East Lhasa Apso Society Open Show Saturday 31st January 2026 Held at the Kennel Club Buildings

My thanks to the society for their kind invitation and to the exhibitors for an amazing entry. The welcome was warm and encouraging. At the end of my judging, I received a lovely gift. I’m touched by the thought, thank you.

Baby Puppy D/B (8) – 1. Denzka Hermoine by Wrenwrox – Huntley – (B) at 4 months, this very pretty B&W really took my eye. She was a nice size for her age and still had enough room to grow on. Her head had plenty of furnishing with frontally placed oval eyes and a sufficient muzzle. Her topline was firm with strength in loin. On the move, she was confident, alert, with an aloof attitude. 2. Sifrasons My Special One – Taylor & Johnson – (D), although this young man was at a slightly different stage in his development. His head was in good proportion with well-set pendant ears. He had good shoulder placement and some depth to his ribs. He carried his tail high and over his back. He had a good frame to build muscle on. 3. TOYNBEE'S STAR MAN - (D) - Thompson

MPD 1. Alamiks So Macho – Barnett & Carter - He has a masculine head with a slight curve to his skull, medium stop, and enough muzzle. His mouth contained a good, straight set of teeth, which were a correct reverse scissor; his neck was strong and nicely arched into a firm topline. Ribbing reached nicely back to a strong loin. On the move, he displayed strength and freedom with a jaunty action and great attitude. BD just piped the bitch for BPIB 2. Marbledale Original – Cleaver – A very smart and striking B&W. He was in lovely coat and showed lots of promise. Pleasing head with pendant ears and clean oval eyes. Strong neck into shoulders, good topline. Moderate rear. He is well-balanced and a good mover. 3. ALAMIKS HITCHIN A RIDE TO CORROLLS – Hazelhurst

P (1) SIFRASON POWERS THAT BE WITH DONLOEMAR – Hastings – This young man was a little unsettled today. He had a masculine head with appropriate furnishings, length of arched neck, and firm topline. He has an abundant coat, even though the texture is changing. Jr (3) -1. AINTSHE UNLOCK THE SWAG INTO BURNSETT – Chesterfield – So much promise in this young man, he had pleasing proportions. Correct head proportion with lovely dark eyes, and plenty of length to muzzle. Medium neck and a good front. His topline is firm and level with well-muscled hindquarters and good angulation. Moved so well and confidence and attitude. 2. KHUMBILA CENTRE STAGE JW – Revillas Rodrigues – A good-sized boy in a super coat and texture. Well, furnished throughout and had a good balance, his ribs reached nicely back to a muscular loin area, and a high-set tail carried well over back. 3. DEELAYNE GHOST BUSTER – Lewis

Yrg (2) - MARBLEDALE IMAGINE THIS AT FRENCHLANDS –SCHUCKARDT  - So much to like about this boy. He is well balanced in outline with correct head proportions, moderate stop, and well-placed oval dark eyes, length of muzzle too. Well-laid shoulders and plenty of bone to legs. He had enough spring to his ribs that reached nicely back. He had plenty of hind angulation and low-set hocks. On the move his was free and jaunty. 2. ALAMIKS NO STRANGE DELIGHT FOR TSUKI – Downs – Well presented boy in a coat of good texture. He had a good spring of ribs and was well-muscled throughout. He moved at a good pace.

PG (5) 1. KHUMBILA CAUSING CHAOS JW -Revillas Rodriguez, I liked this boy very much as he gave a good account of himself and pushed hard in the challenge. He had lovely height to length, giving a well-balanced outline. His head had enough width and sufficient length to muzzle, an ample neck with a slight arch. Respectable shoulders and ample length of leg on the move, he strode out keeping an appropriate topline and finished with a high set tail. His movement is free with a strong rear action. RBD 2. MYTILENE HOT SHOT JW – Gillman – Nicely made youngster with plenty of bone and substance. A little big for me. His head was well furnished enough width to skull and medium stop, nicely arched neck into a level topline, well-filled chest, muscular loin area, and a high-set tail carried very well. 3. CARRIBAE THEODORE – Carrick.

L (6-1) INSANITY RULES DONLOEMAR – Hastings – A nicely balanced boy, a little on the big side. Pleasing masculine head fully furnished, oval-shaped eyes clean and dark. Firm topline held on the move; his tail set was correct and carried over his back and well feathered. 2. CHEOLVIEW WALLACE – Ritchie - A sturdy, well-balanced, and of a nice size. He has good head proportions, giving a resolute expression. His neck was strong with a nicely filled chest. Enough spring to ribs and muscular loin. His movement is free & sound. He had some strong competition today. 3. ZANAMOP WHITE FLAME - Owen.

O (5) 1. CH KUTANI DAREDEVIL - Connett & Cain – This boy was presented in lovely show condition, from the excellent grooming to his muscle tone. He is fit and well-exercised. His outline was clean and smooth-flowing. Super proportions, masculine head, nicely falls away behind the eyes, not overdone in skull, moderate stop, expressive eyes, width to his muzzle holding his revers scissor bite, his chest has some width and nicely sprung ribs and correct amount of bone, short muscular loin and a high set tail, correct hard coat texture, very sound mover, uses his rear well but not overdone he stood out. BD BIS 2. SINYUL IMAGINED – Torrance – B/W boy. Ideal size and masculine head. Clean oval-shaped dark eyes, he had slightly more length to his muzzle. His chest was nicely filled together with nicely sprung ribs. He moved out with a free jaunty spring to his step. 3. KELANKIN GHOST RYDER WITH CHARJILLIAM - Rook & Kindness.

V (4) 1. TIMAZINTI'S PEPPERMINT AT FRENCHLANDS JW ShCM ShCEx VW – Schuckardt – I have seen this boy before, and he never disappoints me. His coat is always in super show condition, and the same goes for his muscle tone. He is a real credit to his owners. He is beautifully balanced and in proportion. His head is breed typical from his slight curve to his skull, nicely falls away behind his eyes, which are dark and oval, enough length of muzzle that hold a reverse scissor bite. Moderate neck, straight forelegs, good lay of shoulder, well-filled chest, oval ribbing, holds his top-line, high-set tail. On the move, he is a positive mover and holds his outline, BV & BVIS. 2. BELLELLEN MAGIC MIKE WITH MYTILENE JW – Gillman – This boy has also been kept in lovely condition, appealing masculine head with clean eyes and full of furnishings. Sufficient neck with slight arch, strong, nicely boned legs. Level topline & high tail set. He has a firm body with good length of ribs, well angulated and muscular, slightly taller. 3. NADARLEY QUARTZ HUGO – Forsyth.

SB (3) 1. KELKENSO KELSOW LASSIE (B) – Ferguson – A pleasing youngster who I hope will grow on a little. Her skull is narrow with a dark eye, black nose, and good length of muzzle. She has a strong neck & firm body. She needs a little more confidence. On the moved she was free at a suitable pace. 2. TIMAZINTI GIN FIZZ (B) – Clutterbuck – Presents a decent outline, although I would like a little more chest. She had good depth to her ribs, which reached nicely back. 3. MARBLEDALE DARK DEFENDER (D) – Williams

MP (4-3) 1. DEELAYNE SHERRY DARLING – Lewis – Excitable puppy with all to play for. She is a nice size for her age and is developing well. Pleasing feminine head, with enough length to muzzle, slight arch to neck. I was able to feel the width in her chest, and her ribs reached well back. Her high tail was well feathered. On the move, she was super confident for one so young.

P (3) 1. SKYLAX POWER OF LOVE - Adam-Slomkowsk – This girl is in super condition and well balanced. Her head was correct with medium stop, dark oval eyes, clean and bright. Nicely filled chest and spring of ribs, which reached nicely back to her short, muscular loin. She carried her tail with suitable confidence. Her hind angulation was pleasing, which shone on the move; she was free and jaunty. I’m sure she will develop well as she matures. BPB for best puppy in breed, I preferred the attitude of the dog today. 2. KELKENSO KELSOW LASSIE – Ferguson - fist in SB 3. DIMARA AUNTY ELSIE – Devereux

Jr (2) 1. CMYTILENE MAGICAL MOMENTS AT CORROLL JW – Hazelhurst – A striking girl with lovely proportions. Excellent adult coat, her head was feminine with a moderately narrow skull that was not quite flat. Her eyes were oval and dark, and pendent ears that were heavily feathered blended. Her neckline had a slight arch and sufficient forechest. She was in suitable muscular condition and moved around the ring free and jaunty. She has a bright future. 2. JAMIKASOKA SWEET SYMPHONY WITH CARRIBAE – Carrik - - B&W with a moderate skull, useful length of muzzle, dark eye & reverse scissor bite. She is well-bodied with a good spring of rib & high set tail. I would like a little more of her on the move.

Yr (2) 1. AUTUMNSPELL SECRET WHISPER JW - O'Doherty – Super head with pleasing feminine expression. Her skull was moderately narrow and not quite flat. She had a moderate stop with a muzzle of required length. Her front was nicely filled and pleasing straight legs. Her topline was firm and level, and her tail was set high. She had suitable hind angulation and reached out well at a brisk, jaunty pace. 2. DENZKA SPELLBINDING – Considine – Lovely girl with a reverse scissor bite and sufficient length to muzzle. Typical head and expression from Dark oval eyes. Her neck was muscular, and her topline was level with ample ribbing. She was steady on the move.

G. (1) – 1. TIMAZINTI GIN FIZZ (B) – Clutterbuck – Presents a decent outline, although I would like a little more chest. She had good depth to her ribs, which reached nicely back. (see SB notes)

PG (3-1) - ITHERA DULCE DE LECHE INTO BURNSETT – Chesterfield – Plenty to like about this girl presented in lovely coat condition. Feminine head with full furnishings. Skull not quite flat and medium stop, length to muzzle, her ears are pendant and heavily feathered. Sufficient length of neck and a firm topline. Her ribs are nicely sprung and reach well back to her loin. 2. CHANCEINN’S TAPPED – Hastings – B/W girl in adult coat head was acceptable, and her neck was of ample length. I prefer her elbows to be a little tighter. She had a muscular loin and a high-set tail carried over her back.

L (6) 1. SHENEDENE TWO FACED WITH THWAITLAKE JW - Hall & Wiltshire – Well-balanced mature girl of good length to height. Her coat was in tiptop condition and show ready. Her head was well shaped and balanced, with a dark oval eye, a reverse scissor bite, and good length of muzzle. Her feminine head sits on a nicely arched neck, which flows into a level back, moderate length of rib in good proportions, body and leg length, and straight forelegs. She moves around the ring with an easy action, holding her lovely, high-set tail, moderate rear angulation. She is a steady mover, giving you time to appreciate her many virtues. BB. 2. WRENWROX ROYAL GEM AVEC SIFRASON JW ShCEx OSW - Taylor & Johnson, A smart, feminine girl, solid black with lovely coat condition. Her head was in good proportion and had a correct reverse scissor bite enough length of muscular neck into a firm topline. Finished with a high set tail. She had plenty of width in her chest and nicely sprung ribs. On the move, she was tidy and clean. 3. SHENEDENE BLONDI WITH CHARJILLIAM - Crook & Hall

O (5-1) 1. CH ALAMIKS PERFECT ILLUSION ShCEx - Barnett & Carter – A lovely outline to this mature girl. Her chest had a good width, plenty of bone to her legs, and round feet. Her ribs were well sprung and reaching nicely back to a muscular loin. Coming up against the limit winner was always going to be tough RBB 2. ROM CH SKYLAX ALL OF THE STARS - Adam-Slomkowsk – Pleasing feminine girl. Her head was in proportion and of ample length of neck. I’d like a little more width to her chest; her ribs reached nicely back. Her hind legs had the suitable angulation. She was in a first-rate show coat. 3. CH SHENEDENE KISS MY PIX SELL WITH CHARJILLIAM - Crook & Hall.
