“I would like to thank the officers and the committee for the kind invitation, what a lovely show it was. We were afforded a wonderful large outdoor ring which allowed the exhibits to showcase their movement.

The overall quality was excellent, and good dogs went without place cards in the higher classes I found that Ridges were acceptable although I was sad to find a few who were offset. 

Temperaments were excellent and all bites were correct.

I was looking for a hound who had free and easy movement which I was able to find in my principal winners .

Thank you to all exhibitors for the honour of judging your wonderful hounds, I had a fantastic day. I would also like to thank my two very competent stewards Gordon and Luke for the sterling job that they did keeping the ring running smoothly”.

MINOR PUPPY DOG (3,0)

1st - Catharell's KINABULA'S MASTER OF JOY . At 8 months old this boy oozed class and made his presence felt as he entered the ring . Well balanced head ,correct eye, and alert expression. Good length of body, correct angulation. Shown in excellent condition, gleaming shiny coat, correct ridge, and crowns. Lovely topline and tail set which he held in the move. Good bone and well knuckled feet, excellent quarters. He moved out well with reach and drive, holding himself on the move. There is a lot to like about this youngster, wonderful type, a very worthy class winner and I was pleased to award him BP and to see him later go on to be awarded 4th Best Puppy in Show.

2nd - Mr N & Mrs M Ashman's JOLIHEM SHUMBA FOR KITAARKA. Same age as the class winner but not quite as put together still at the awkward growing stage . He has a well-proportioned strong head, kind intelligent dark eye . Good bone, moderate angles front and rear . Correct rib cage and coupling. As he is a little bum high at the moment, he did not hold his topline whilst on the move, he did however move with purpose and drive. He just needs time to develop. 

3rd - Mr A &Mrs L Clark-Maclean's AFFRHODA DEMETRIUS AT CALLMN.

PUPPY DOG (2,0)

1st - Mrs M L Farleigh's KINABULA MILKY BAR KID. A handsome well put together exhibit of excellent breed type throughout . Balanced head with a kind expression . Pleasing body and muscle condition. Deep forechest with good length of body. Powerful forequarters , true in front . Pleasing spring, ribbing, and overall construction. Good angulation front and rear, moved out with reach and drive . At one with his handler .

2nd - Mrs J Spencer's ZEJAK CHINOSA. Nicely constructed boy . Lovely head type, nice dark eye, and correct length of muzzle. Correct size and shape, shown in excellent hard condition. Stood on good tight feet. Angulation balanced front and rear. Correct topline and tail set which he held on the move. Moved well but not just with the same drive as the class winner .

1st - Mrs N Nevison's BIQUEST HELIOS SUNREACHER . A handsome striking masculine red male who has a fabulous head , correct dark eye, well balanced ears and correct length of muzzle. Very well balanced with lots of substance and excellent muscle tone. Shown in good hard condition he has a lovely reach of neck leading down onto powerful shoulders, correct length of body , good angles front and rear . He moved with purpose ,reach and drive . In perfect harmony with his handler .

2nd - Mrs J Spencer's ZEJAC CHINOSA .

1st - Mrs H Pritchard Jone's MISSION WILD WIND OF LUANDA AT AFFRHODA. Excellent size and shape . Beautiful headpiece free from wrinkle and a kind intelligent expression with correct dark eyes. Firm in body of pleasing stature. He has a muscular gentle rise over the lion . Good spring and length of ribbing, correct angulation front, and rear . Lots of substance with this boy who was exhibited in tip top condition . He stood on good tight feet , holding his topline both on the stack as well as on the move . He covered the ground with ease using his powerful hindquarters to his advantage.

2nd - Mrs T & Mr J Blyth's PRIORPARK RIVER TANGI OF RUDGESRIDGE. Another fine upstanding handsome male of correct size and balance . Excellent breed type all through . Nice length of body , well sprung ribs, level topline, good stifles, and hocks. He moved with reach and drive .

3rd - Mrs C L & Miss M L Catharell KINABULA'S MAKING MAGICK FOR FAAHAC JW.

LIMIT DOG (6,1) 

1st - Mr A Zhao's VKLOOF DUKE LAMBO GALARDO JW . A masculine male shown in good hard condition . Well-muscled body with plenty of substance . Nice head with correct length of muzzle, dark eye and well-placed ears . Muscular neck leading down into well placed shoulders . Deep chest. Good angles front and rear allowing him to move with power and drive, reaching out from the front, and driving from the rear . Best mover in the class .

2nd - Mrs T Thomas -Basset's FIADMAS STIGGENS AT SKYLERIDGE. Lovely breed type, of correct size and shape . Nice head type, correct ear placement, correct muzzle, and expressive dark eye . Good bone , correct turn of stifle, nice tight feet. Much more settled in this class which allowed him to move more freely and was happier on the stack .

3rd - Mr A & Mrs L & Miss N Clark-Maclean & Crossan CALLMN'S JAMMY DODGER .

1st - Miss K J Davis CH GUNTHWAITES FANCY MAN JW. Red wheaten male shown in excellent condition all through . He is handsome and upstanding . His masculine head is of exceptional quality , his expressive dark eyes compel you to look deep into them , his intelligent expression is what makes his head stand out from his competitors. He has a good length and depth to his muzzle, good length of neck leading down into well placed shoulders . Solid level topline, firm back , good ridge and well-set tail , Excellent muscle and second thigh, firm hocks. He has a balanced outline with correct height to body length, well sprung pasterns . He stood on nice tight feet. His movement was effortless; he moved around the ring reaching out with purpose and driving from behind which produced a true effortless stride . I have judged this boy before as a puppy where his potential saw me award him the reserve CC, I was thrilled to see today how he matured into the worthy champion that he has become. Today he went one better and he was awarded the DOG CC and B.O.B . he made the final shortlist for Best in Show .

2nd - Mr S J & Mrs A R Pearce's CH KINYEMI SONG OF SERENGETI SEPIWI SEKAYA JW FOR MSINGI (IMP DNK). Another fine example of the breed who oozes quality . An impressively well-balanced male of excellent proportions. Typical head with a pleasing expression . Strong neck with good lay of shoulder . Excellent forechest and return of arm. He moved with a long stride, free and easy, true coming and going . It was my pleasure to award him the RDCC.

VETERAN DOG (3,0) 

1st - Mrs G . J Little's NUTHOUSE ABRACADABRA. A balanced male presented in superb coat and fitness condition . Masculine shapely head with a confident breed typical expression . Correct length of body , good angulation front, and rear . He moved freely and enthusiastically ,covering the ground with ease . He looked to be enjoying himself and I think he would happily have gone another few laps of the ring without it affecting his stride . Together with his handler they made a good team , in tune with one and other .

2nd - Mrs S J Bowers CELTIC LORE'S GOLDEN ARCHER AT LYONGLEN (IMP USA). This boy was another presented in good hard condition . Well balanced he had a good outline , level topline, and correct angulation . He stood on nice tight feet . He moved out true coming and going .

3rd - Mr A & Mrs A Whiteside's JIMANNS THE DOCTOR.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH (5,1)

1st Mrs H Pritchard Jones AFFRHODA AMARYLLIS. At 6 months of age this sweet girl presented a typical outline with good overall balance . A pretty feminine head , dark eyes, and nice length to her muzzle . Correct length of body , good fill of chest and with elbows close to her ribs . She held her topline well on the move . She presented a balanced picture when standing . Good turn of stifle and well let down hocks that used to drive off from behind . She moved well in all directions . I predict a bright future ahead for this lady . BEST PUPPY BITCH .

2nd Mrs H Hall NYASHAROSE LETS DANCE. Good size and ratio of height to length . Head of good proportions with a pretty expression . Nice dark eyes , correct wrinkle, and balance to her head . Strong withers with good lay of shoulder and return of upper arm . Lovely free profile action with plenty of reach and drive.

1st - Mr S J & Mrs A R Pearce MSINGI ME A LULLABY. Pretty head with all the correct proportions, dark eye correct length of muzzle and correct ears . Super reach of neck and nice shoulder placement. Good bone and nice spring to pasterns. Well ribbed with good level topline . Moved with drive and good footfall.

JUNIOR BITCH (1,0)

1st - Mr M Akers CARLINCOX LATERS TATERS. This girl was shown in excellent hard condition with correct muscle tone and a gleaming coat . A pretty girl who is nicely balanced and moderate all through . Pleasing head of good proportions , good length of muzzle and correctly placed ears , if being picky would have liked a darker eye . She is nicely boned with good pasterns and feet . Ribbed well back with good coupling and correct rise to loin . Balanced rear angulation , good width to first and second thigh . Fluid in movement , holding her topline at all times .

YEARLING BITCH (4,0) 

1st - Mrs M L & Mrs D Farleigh &McDonnell's DROIMDARA KISS THE BLARNEYSTONE FOR KINABULA (IKC). A nice moderate bitch who presented a lovely body shape. Beautiful head and eye, super forehand with good neck, shoulders, front, and feet. Super topline, underline, and quarters. Well let down hocks. Her topline is excellent, moved with an effortless free and easy stride. Looks great both in profile and on the move. She has the stamp of quality .

2nd - Mr L & Mrs C L Hall MSINGI FANCY THAT AT CYNAMI. A girl of substance, correct shape, and size. Feminine head, good reach of neck. Good lay of shoulder, firm topline. Nice angles front and rear, moved with reach and drive. Nicely handled.

3rd - Mrs S R Phillips ALEXIA LYONESSE.

Excellent reach of neck and forequarters, good ribcage of good depth and width. Excellent topline, well set and correct tail . Moved with purpose and determination. Her movement is textbook . Excellent coat and condition.

1st - Mrs T Thomas-Bassett BONFIREBEAU RED SKYE AT SKYLERIDGE. A feminine bitch with a lovely head , lovely parallel lines, correct stop, and super intelligent expression. Good length of neck, both strong and muscular. Excellent topline and a slight rise over her loins. Correct forechest and ribcage. Good angles front and rear. Correct bone and feet. Well presented.

2nd - Miss I Scanlon KINABULA'S BEAT OF MY HEART. A classy and impressive outline with great balance. Very feminine bitch with obvious quality, very nicely put together with correct proportions. Firm topline. Sound on the move but just not the same enthusiasm as the class winner on the move, a very nice type with lots to like about her and on another day could swap places if gives just a tad more on the move.

3rd - Mr W & Mrs J Dickson GLOBALRIDGE ETERNAL FLAME.

“A fabulous class led by a classic bitch”. 

1st - Mr J Muncie CALLMN'S QUEEN BEE OF MAHANOVEMI. This girl is straight out of the top drawer, she entered the ring with a look at me attitude which she retained throughout the class , she could not be ignored . A very feminine beautiful girl who is so typical of the breed and she just oozes quality . I loved her classic head and expression , so very elegant . She is so well balanced and well-made throughout . Shown in excellent coat and condition she was gleaming in the sunlight . Good ribcage of good depth and width, strong loin helping her to keep an excellent level topline on the move . Plenty of body and substance. This is a girl who could actually do the job that she was bred to do. Her movement is so correct and precise . She moved with purpose and determination, making it look all so easy , very well presented . She was so determined to win this class that she did , she moved with such grace and style . I was honoured to award her the BITCH CC . I do hope that her crowning moment is not too far away .

2nd - Mrs K Akers CARLINCOX KNOCK EM OFF. Another girl who has an abundance of quality . She has strength , symmetry, and balance . Ideal ratios in body and leg length to height . Pretty feminine head with good planes and proportions, round eye and good length of muzzle . Lovely shape of ribcage carried well back. Strong level topline, good tail set. Good width of thigh and her hocks were well let down . She moved with purpose and drive .  

3rd - Miss C A & Mr I B Maddox & Gethin RUBILTRA CHUMBA BIBI OF PURPLEPRIDE.

OPEN BITCH (7, 2) 

1st - Mrs J M Bates & Mr D H Bates CH GUNTHWAITES RED HOT ROSE JW.Another strong class full of quality bitches . This lady immediately appealed to me on my first look around the class . She is an excellent shape , size and balance . This bitch is of superb quality with strong bone and body with the construction to match . Very feminine head with good proportions. She is strong all over whilst retaining her femininity. She has good well laid-back shoulders, good depth to her chest, nice level topline with a slight rise over her loin. She moves with ease showing off her reach and drive without any effort . As would be expected from this kennel she was in tip top condition with a gleaming coat and did everything her handler asked of her . A very worthy class winner and it was an honour to award this stunning girl the RBCC.

2nd - Mr C & Mrs L & Mrs V Cox & Cox & Musgrave CARLINCOX DONT KNOCK IT JW. Another girl who has so much to like about her , she is well muscled and good of bone yet is still feminine. A classic feminine head with lovely planes, correct chiselling, and well-placed ears. Correct pasterns and tight feet , excellent rear angulation showing strength , super width to her thighs, well let down hocks. Moved at one with her handler. A fine example of the breed.

3rd - Mrs H Pritchard Jones AFFRHODA ATHIYYAH. 

VETERAN BITCH (4, 0) 

1st - MR C & Mrs L & Mrs V Cox and Musgrave CH CARLINCOX PURE GOLD JW ShCEx OSW. A truly beautiful bitch who I feel has gone from strength to strength, like a fine wine she is at the perfect stage . She caught my eye and it was hard to ignore her . She did not put a foot out of place; she was enjoying her spot in the spotlight . So much quality. Very feminine head and expression. Super shoulder with lovely front and hind angulation. Unexaggerated with nothing overdone. She moved without any effort and was true coming and going . 

2nd - Miss I Scanlon KINABULA'S ALL ABOUT THE BASS JW ShCEx OSW VW. Another pretty girl who is full of quality . Lovely head with the sweetest of expressions . Lovely neck and shoulder, Good depth to her chest and correct length to body . Good angulation front and rear . She has an excellent topline, and she moved well holding her topline on the move . Shown in excellent condition .
