Richmond Dog Show Society

It is always a pleasure to judge this wonderful breed and today was no exception. A very nice entry overall and I was pleased that all were presented in good clean condition.

Veteran D (1)

1st Allchorne’s Ch Nelgus Thyme Bomb JW ShCEx VW

A sound dog in super fit condition, masculine head with low set well folded ears, good eyes, strong neck and well ribbed body. Excellent front with prominent forechest, well laid shoulders and well boned forelegs. Athletic and easy mover holding his firm topline and looking nothing like his 10.5 years. He was my RCC last time I judged and was pleased to award him another one today. RCC & BV.

2nd Gray’s Bassoto Rambling Rector

9m attractive pup, well boned with pleasing head, good occiput and dark eyes. Strong neck, ample forechest and good length of back. Another nice mover with good carriage, 1 had the edge on reach today but altogether a promising picture.

Yearling D (1)

1st Lane’s Goldenessence Deep Impact over Lanebern (Imp) Port

Plenty of personality and a nice profile standing. Domed skull with prominent occiput, fair amount of stop. Strong neck leading into firm topline which he held at all times, sufficient forechest, good shape to ribs. Would like more positivity out and back but excels in profile movement, covering ground well.

Almost 7, sweet boy with good head proportions, well set ears but tends to hold them a little flat. Good substance and strong compact body, well set tail of correct length. Well shaped rear, moved steadily although rather wide in front.

Junior B (1)

17m daughter of VB also presenting a clean balanced profile with a level topline. Very sound all through with a well shaped head, dark eyes. Excellent front construction with well boned tidy forelegs, balanced rear providing good drive on the move. Has a houndlike tendency to drop her nose but sound and true in all directions.

Yearling B (2,1)

1st Armstrong’s Lauralee Magic Image

Litter sister to JB, again sharing many qualities of her dam and appealing for her overall size and balance. Really sound to go over with a feminine head and kind expression, well laid shoulders, tidy elbows and prominent forechest fitting well into crook. Good rear angulation and an easy ground covering stride, maintaining her topline and carrying herself proudly and with purpose. RCC.

Post Grad B (2)

1st Armstrong’s Lauralee Mystical Image

Another litter sister to JB and YB, completing the picture of a very even family. Feminine head with good dark eyes and ears of correct length. Slightly more compact than her sisters but with the same correct front and strong topline, excellent muscular well angled rear. Moved soundly with good tail carriage.

2nd Jones’ Clanwillow Kiss the Girl

Pleasing outline when stacked, strong in body and with a good amount of bone. Well muscled neck with good shoulders and straight forelegs, good depth of body and balanced in rear. Just a bit reluctant with her tail carriage today but otherwise moved with excellent reach and drive.

Limit B (2)

1st Gray’s Short Legs Reijvi Light Up the Sky at Bassoto (imp)

Ideal overall size and proportions, feminine head with slight stop and good pigmentation. Strong neck and good amount of forechest, tidy front assembly. Moved very smartly and true holding her shape.
