Sealyham Terrier Breeders Association

There is something special about judging a breed club show, add to that your breed, your last ever judging appointment and a beautiful summers day it becomes a memory I will cherish. I wish to thank the Association for my invitation, Lisa the Secretary who ran the whole day, and Christine and Steven my stewards for keeping the ring running smoothly. Also a mention of the thoughtful gifts, one I will savour very soon, the other a framed outline of a Sealyham made up of tiny pieces of paper, it is exquisite. Thank you. 

 Baby PD (2) 1st Mr L & D Bettis's Ornella Honey Rider BBPIS 4 siblings contesting the placings, it must have been a smashing litter. All quite similar, however his showmanship and a little bit of bravery won him this class and BBP.

2nd James's Ornella Honey Badger. Like his brother has a lovely head, good neck and shoulder placement. A little longer body length than 1st, covered with a super textured coat, happy chap wagging his tail. 

 Baby PB (2) 1st Mr L & D Bettis's Ornella Honey Crush slightly overawed but sympathetically handled by experienced owner. She showed beautiful flowing movement once in her stride.

2nd Faulkes's Ornella Honey Flame All the same attributes of her siblings her novice handler will have fun with her if she wishes to learn our art. I would be delighted to own any one of these pups.

JD (1) Miss L&J Hampson's Kamryan Meraviglioso Mario Very smart upstanding d, masculine head, good teeth, bite, and ears which he uses expressively. Clean in neck and shoulder, holding level topline good in rib and length to body, lovely coat. Wish he was size smaller for my taste, but as judging went on I found most exhibits on the larger size including bitches.

PGD (1) Mr J& Mrs S Crang's Whooperhill Sand Castle Masculine headed dog, accentuated by the dark markings. Better lay of shoulder would improve outline, however good topline, deep chest and ribbing good tail set, moved well once settled. 

LD (3) Mr F & A Salmon's 1st Wan Kenobi of Kindergarten At Seasmoult (IMP HUN) Won this class on overall size and shape. Lovely domed skull, and strong muzzle, good ear set, nice neck and shoulder placement, best for length of body. Tan marked harsh coat beautifully presented. 

2nd, Mrs L Matthews's Eleighwater Olmo By Leomona Showing very well and a good mover but overall too heavy in proportions for me.

3rd, Dr. SL Hemstock 's Jolihem Mad Eye Moody A shorter coupled D that wasn't playing game today that's until the awards were given out, then he showed he could behave and stood beautifully. 

OD (4) 1st Daly, Mr A Crockett Mr K & Mrs L Waddell UK & IR CH Thornberry U Can't Touch This CC& BIS

Another larger D, but I could not deny his quality in this company today. Loved the overall picture that he portrayed. Masculine balanced head, super neck and shoulders, level topline, well ribbed, good tailset with plenty behind, strong powerful rear that really shows in his fluid movement, harsh white coat so well presented.

2nd Mr L & D Bettis's CH Whooperhill Sand Dollar With Ornella JW RCC One I preferred for size and he did push 1st but today just didn't put his best foot forward, maybe the heat we were all feeling it.

3rd Mr J& Mrs S Crang's Lushell Gwyn Cariad A good moving chap who would look better with less coat. An honest male in good competition holding his own.

4th Ms N Curtis's Jolihem Lenejoe Badger

VD (1) Mrs M Evans's 1st Ch Nileda Our Mutual Friend. BV Presented in top form,

this 10 y looks amazing. Good head with strong fore face and domed skull good teeth, clean shoulders, holding topline standing and moving. Still happy to be in the ring and I was delighted to see him.

JB (1) Oulton& Coetzee's Whooperhill Love Story BPIS Lovely feminine b that just needs time, it's all there just waiting to blossom, I love her size, she moved freely at one with her handler. Be patient, I shall watch her career with interest.

PGB(3) Miss SL Matthews's Eleighwater Despina At Ystynog RCC My, did handler have to work, this young lady was not going to make it easy. She won the class and indeed the Rcc with her balance and finesse. Super head, best neck and shoulder placement, level topline, good tailset with plenty going on behind. Sound, positive movement and beautifully presented. 

2nd, Oulton& Coetzee's Whooperhill Love Story 

3rd, Ms IJ Courtenay- Warren's Magemay Muchova of Nunneley Lovely size, unlucky to meet these 2. Lots to like, with one of the best textured coats today. 

LB (3) 1st Mrs M Flower's Dionaha Winnie A good all round b that didn't like the cut of the grass, but she is worth persevering with because when she did decide to show, she can move well, couple that with her overall correct balance and size, you have a winner. 

2nd,Oulton& Coetzee's Whooperhill Love Story 

3rd, Mrs L Matthews's Whooperhill The King's Swan At Leomona A great moving b, but preferred the head qualities and coat of 1.

OB (3) 1st Daly, Mr A Crockett Mr K & Mrs L Waddell UK & IR CH Thornberry Touch Me CC RBIS

Lovely b, she has such a refined head, lovely neck, super front assembly, level topline, good spring of rib, good length of back, powerful rear quarters. Movement sound and positive. White harsh coat so well presented.

2nd Whooperhill Sleepinbeauty of Jomoaka Standing she pushed 1 all the way but today did not match her movement. she presents a low to ground profile, with a lovely head and quality coat. 

3rd L&J Hampson's Saore on a Sunrise High (IMP ITA) loved her head, very feminine she also has a super rear but today untidy moving and losing her topline. 

VB (3) 1st Mrs P&D Trezise-Dundas's Firstwish Ara Well presented,lovely head she kept her topline standing and moving, very good rear quarters, attractive correct coat.

2nd Ms N Curtis's Kenaiteen Cascade Smart, lovely headed b, super topline, but not the quality of rear angulation of 1.

3rd Ms IJ Courtenay- Warren's Bullbrit Shady lady of Nunneley Good for body shape and coat but standing she rises up over the loin, a little lazy moving. 

ChB (3,2a) 1st Daly, Mr A Crockett Mr K & Mrs L Waddell IR CH Thornberryhall Tickle My Fancy Shown in perfect order, shame she has had her confidence knocked at a previous show, however she overcame her shyness. A handy size, feminine head with sweet expression. Good in fore quarters, level topline, good depth of chest, strong rear quarters, moved well.
