Bath Canine Society Championship Show 2026

I would like to thank Bath Canine Society for inviting me to judge at their show. Also thank my stewards for managing the ring so efficiently. I also must congratulate all the exhibitors on the wonderful temperaments of their dogs. Not one dog moved away from me while I was going over them on what was an extremely hot day.

Veteran Dog

1. (1). Armour’s Diamondridge Keep It Dark For Kemgordoni.

Red wheaten, seven and a half years old. He has a strong masculine head, dark round eyes with kind expression. Good length and balanced proportions. Well off for bone. Moderate angulation front and rear creating a balanced profile on the move. (BV)

2. Catharell’s Kinabula’s Master Of Joy. 

Wheaten male with an attractive refined head with dark round eyes. Neck of good length. Pleasing body proportions and length of ribbing. Adequate depth of chest for age. He will gain additional width and fill in through the front as he matures. He is a balanced puppy with moderate angulation. He was well handled which got the best out of him on the move.  

2. House and Armour’s Diamondridge Deliverance For Kemgordoni.

A puppy of good substance. Masculine head, his neck is of good length, well laid shoulders, adequate return of upper arm. He has good fore chest development for a puppy. He has well angulated hindquarters with good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Just needs to strengthen in rear movement.

3. Farleigh’s Kinabula’s Milky Bar Kid

A well balanced puppy with a lovely head. Eyes of correct shape and colour. Good front and fore chest with excellent length of body. He has substance and bone. Well angulated fore and hindquarters contribute to a balanced outline. Moved freely and soundly, covering the ground with good reach and drive from behind. (BP)

2. Raymond’s Sofala’s Jack Of All Trades

Attractive puppy with pleasing head. Clean neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Good length of ribbing and balanced angulation. Presents an overall pleasing picture and is a youngster of quality. Was a little unsettled on this occasion and therefore unable to show himself to best advantage today.

4. Raymond’s Sofala’s Jack Of All Trades

2. Whitney’s Voorlooper Raadi Mosi

Wheaten 10 month old puppy. He has a masculine head with kind expression. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Adequate depth of chest and infill. Good depth and length of rib. He is well balanced and has adequate angulation. Moved well and covered the ground soundly, but his high tail carriage spoils his profile on the move.

Catharell’s Kinabula’s Making Magick For Faahac.  

5. Attractive head with kind expression. Clean neck into well laid shoulders with adequate return of upper arm. Good depth of chest and ribbing. Would prefer more length of body. Moved well with sound, efficient action, covering the ground with good reach and drive.

2. Hurn’s Kwanza El Faiyum At Matikiridge.

Masculine dog with good head of correct proportions and with pleasing expression. Good reach of neck into well angled shoulders. Length of ribbing is adequate. Hindquarters are well muscled with moderate angulation. Moved well in profile. Preferred movement in front of 1st dog.

Edward’s Rubiltra Gunna Be Striking

6. Masculine head, dark round eyes with kind expression. He has good length of neck and shoulder placement. Adequate length to body. He moved well coming and going and in profile. He carried his tail high today which spoiled his profile on the move.

7. Greeve’s Kiromol Knight of The Realm 

Light Wheaten 2 year old dog. Masculine dog with a pleasing head and soft expression. Good overall substance and bone. Nicely proportioned body. Hind angulation adequate. Moved straight coming and going. In profile he covered the ground steadily presenting a balanced outline.

2. Collier, Collier, Collier & Cox’s Carlincox Knock Ya Socks Off

Masculine dog with a pleasing head, I would prefer a little more length of muzzle. Good front assembly with adequate fore chest. He has a good length of body. Could do with more length of leg to produce a balanced outline. Topline could be firmer. He has sufficient bone and substance throughout. Moved well.

Clarke’s Wolfgang Amadeus

8. Red Wheaten 4 year old dog. He has a handsome head of correct proportions, good reach of neck into well angled shoulders. Adequate infill and width of chest. Good length of body, depth and width. Balanced rear angulation. Good tail set and carriage. He moved true coming and going and held a level topline in profile movement. (DCC)

2. Dawson, Dawson & Parson’s Priorpark Problem Sloved

Strong head with good proportions and pleasant expression. Good length of neck, good fore chest and front angulation. Would prefer more length of body. Well angulated behind. He has good bone and substance and stands on good feet. Today his profile movement was spoiled by his high tail carriage.

9. Kirby & Mansfield’s Ch Shingwidsi Tsholo Light

Masculine head with correct proportions. Dark round eyes with kind expression. Good ear set. Lovely length of neck. Adequate lay of shoulder, close elbows. He is balanced overall with good length of body and sound construction throughout. Good angulation front and rear, contributing to his efficient, free moving movement. RCC

2. Murray’s Kinabula’s Bonjangles Of Dellared

Attractive, well balanced dog. Presents a lovely head with a pleasing expression. Good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Well angled in front with good return of upper arm. Good depth and width of chest. Good length of body. Hindquarters are sound and muscular, though I would prefer a little more width between the pin bones. Maintained a firm outline on the move, covering the ground with ease.

Feminine bitch of pleasing breed type with a pretty head of correct proportions. Dark round eyes giving a soft expression. Good length of neck leading into a well angled front. Good width and depth of chest. Pleasing length of body and adequate hind angulation. Moved straight coming and going, holding a level topline on the move.

2. Picton & Ince’s Jolihem Truly Scrumptious

Six month old puppy bitch. Pleasing head and good length of neck. Adequate front assembly for a puppy. I would prefer more length of body. Moved reasonably well. Needs to strengthen up in hindquarters.

10. Parker’s Ch Kiromol As You Like It With Azuli JW

Pretty feminine head. Nicely put together throughout, with good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Good width and depth of chest with adequate length of rib and sufficient angulation. Moved well and was handled to advantage.

2. Scanlon’s Kinabula’s All About The Bass

Attractive exhibit with a lovely head of good proportions. Well balanced bitch with good substance throughout, with good length of body, good angulation fore and aft. Covered the ground well on the move.

11. Taylor’s Salome’s Charm Truly Arte Cassari At Tokwe (Imp Svk)

Wheaten bitch of six months. Pretty feminine head of good proportions. Correct eye shape. Good reach of neck flowing into a well angled shoulder. Enough depth and width of chest for a puppy. She has good length to body with well angled hindquarters. Moved true coming and going, displaying good reach in front and drive from behind.

2. Farleigh’s Kinabula’s I will If You Will

Another attractive puppy of seven months with a correct head, dark round eyes, and well placed ears. A puppy of good substance, with good width and depth of chest. She has a good reach of neck flowing into well placed shoulders, adequate length of ribbing and sound hind angulation. On the move she showed good reach and drive maintaining a firm topline in profile movement.

12. Story & Piehl’s Kiromol Ain’t Misbehaving (AI)

A light wheaten bitch of good substance and overall balance. She presents a feminine head of correct proportions with kind expression. Good reach of neck into adequate angled shoulders. A well balanced and proportioned bitch with good depth of chest and ample infill. Good height to length ratio and sound rear angulation. On the move she was true coming and going. BPB

2. Kapma-Saunders Oostblik Rivier Annan

Feminine bitch with a pleasing head and good length of neck. She is straight in front and would benefit from more width and depth through the chest. Adequate length of ribbing and sufficient hindquarters angulation. Moved soundly, however her high tail carriage detracted from her overall outline on the move.

Wheaten one year old bitch with a correct head and dark round eyes. Good length of neck leading into adequate front angulation. Good width and depth throughout. She moved true coming and going and is a long striding bitch in profile movement. Would benefit from further strengthening of the hind quarters.  

2. Clyde’s Walamadengie Ariana

One year old red wheaten bitch of a more compact type. Presents a pretty feminine head with kind expression. Good reach of neck. Broad through the front. Has adequate ribbing and satisfactory rear angulation. Moved soundly.

13. Lo Nigro, Rice & Rice’s Nuthouse Shall We Dance

Feminine bitch with attractive head and correct eye shape. A well proportioned bitch. Good length of neck into well angled shoulders. Adequate depth of brisket. Good length of ribbing, well angulated behind. She moved freely and held a level topline.

2. Kinabula’s Cup Of Ambition

A smaller framed bitch with an appealing head and dark expressive eyes. Displays a good reach of neck and balanced angulation fore and aft. Lacks some desired fore chest and depth throughout the body at present, though she has adequate rib length. Moved soundly.

Novice Bitch

Two year old bitch with pretty head of correct proportions. Good neck length. Presents an acceptable front with sufficient width and depth throughout the chest. Has good rib length and adequate hind angulation. Moved soundly and efficiently.

2. Kenwrick’s Thomasridge Faraway Tree

Smaller, compact bitch. Feminine head with a pleasing expression. Would prefer more width and depth of chest. Adequate length of ribbing. Front and rear angulation balanced and sufficient. She stands over enough ground for her size. Moved soundly.

Feminine bitch with a pretty, well proportioned head. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Adequate width and depth of chest. Balanced body proportions. Would prefer a touch more loin and rear angulation. She stands on good feet. Moved soundly with good reach, covering the ground well.

2. Parker’s Asharaa’s She’s Magic To Azuli

Compact, feminine bitch with a pretty head, good eye shape and a kind expression. Good reach of neck and balanced angulation front and rear. Adequate body length for size. Would prefer a little more width through the hindquarters. Moved well, true coming and going with satisfactory profile movement.

Feminine head of correct proportions with dark, round eyes giving a pleasing expression. She has a good reach of neck into well angulated shoulders. Good fore chest with ample width and depth. A balanced, rangy bitch with pleasing length of body and good depth throughout. Moved accurately both coming and going, and in profile demonstrated ground covering movement while holding a strong level topline. RCC

2. Farleigh’s Kinabula Stay Calm And Smile

Another quality bitch with a feminine head and kind expression. More compact in outline than the first. She has a good length of neck flowing into a sound front assembly. Adequate length and depth of body with balanced hind angulation. Her tail set detracted slightly from her overall outline. On the move she was true coming and going, and in profile moved freely with good ground covering action.

14. Parson’s Ch Priorpark Proof In Pudding JW

A lovely quality bitch with a feminine head of correct proportions and a pleasing expression. She has a good length of neck leading into good front angulation. Good fore chest with ample width and depth. She has good length of body and is balanced throughout with a pleasing outline. On the move she was true coming and going, and in profile used her strong hindquarters to produce ground covering movement while maintaining her topline. (BCC & BOB)

2. Kirby & Mansfield’s Ch Shingwidsi Tshedisa Light

Another quality bitch with a pretty feminine head and pleasing expression. She has a clean neck flowing into adequately angulated shoulders. I would like a little more fore chest and width of chest to complete the picture. Good length of ribbing and well developed hind angulation. She moved soundly coming and going, and in profile showed balance, free movement while maintaining a level topline.
