Japanese Chin Club Championship Show
18th October 2026

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for the hospitality afforded to me and to thank most sincerely for the wonderful gift. It’s beautiful and very thoughtful. It’s a great pity this double Championship Show was not better supported. I’m not sure why this was, so disappointing for the Club as the venue was very well situated. I realise the high cost of travel is a big issue for many of us these days. I do hope that things will improve and pray people will support the clubs. Having said that I did find quality throughout the entire entry.
I would like to thank the very friendly and capable stewards for all their help.

1 Blair Bellflows Moonstone stood alone but what a delightful four-month puppy. She has got attitude, a lovely head and a nicely balanced body. She is confident on the move and displays a great temperament, should have a bright future.
MPD (2, 0)
1 Flynn Sharlarna Renegade at Linjato very typical but rather raw and reluctant to move and show off his many qualities. His head is lovely, correct body proportions, has good coat texture. He needs time but shows promise.
2 Holland-Smith Craimose Final Call naf taf a well-presented puppy, up to size, has good head quality, well-spaced eyes giving the desired expression. A sound well balanced puppy.
PD (2, 1)
1 Foynes Sharlarna Abracadabra for Lafay standing alone but very nice red & white of ten months. I admired his head properties, true chin expression. He has a well-proportioned body, sound and steady on the move. BPD
JD (2, 1)
1 Foynes Sharlarna Lion Heart for Lafay litter brother to previous class and similar remarks apply.
PGD (1, 0)
1 Newberry Sharlarna Brandy Blaze red & white 23 months old in good coat and condition. Fairly large head, well set ears of correct shape. Moderate neck, good spring of rib and sound and steady on the move.
LD (1, 0)
1 Blair Bellflows Ichikawa Lux JCH A lovely dog of ideal size. I thought him of outstanding quality with his lovely head, large dark expressive eyes set well apart and showing the desired chin expression. Moderate neck, square and compact body and a dog that moved both ways freely.
OD (3, 1)
1 Blair Lux Ch Sharlarna’s Chaos at Bellflows ShCEx RDCC there’s nothing I would change about this outstanding dog. In full coat that was immaculate. Has a lovely head and skull, true expression coming from well-placed eyes. Large open nostrils, short well cushioned muzzle, small, neat ears which were well fringed. He had a medium length of neck and excellent body proportions. A straight moving dog both ways. I thought he stood out. Oozing with quality, ideal size with a well-balanced head, high and well-placed ears. Lovely eyes giving good typical expression. Good body proportions with slender bone. A super dog.
CD (4, 2) Two lovely and worthy champions
1 Mills Ch/Ir Ch Ashaka Come to Bed Eyes DCC & BIS A dog presented in immaculate coat and condition. Proud head carriage, flattish back skull and rounded at the front. Correct ear set wide, well set dark eyes, good open nostrils which is nicely cushioned. Medium neck length, great body proportions and fine slender bone. He moves so well both ways. Dogs like this don’t come along every day, he’s very very special and I had no hesitation in awarding him top honours today.
2 Flynn Ch Sharlarna Philanderere at Linjato another beautiful dog with all the qualities I would look for in the breed. In marvellous coat and condition, good typical head, he also shows the true chin expression. Presented in wonderful condition but I would have liked a little more muscle to be critical.
May Tovey Memorial Special O R&W D (1, 0)
1 Cayton Sharlarna Imperial Comanda red &white standing alone. Mature six-year-old, has a pleasing head, broad skull, well set eyes and his ears were set well apart. Good square body shape, nice and cobby. He was sound and steady on the move.
VB (02, 1)
1 Quinn Ch Harlouville Uptown Girl JW this lovely bitch that I admired for her many attributes, however, she didn’t really show off her many qualities. She had a lovely head and broad skull and her beautiful body proportions. I just wished she would have put more in on the move.
MPB (3, 0)
1 Bradley Sharlarna Top Totty and Best Puppy in Show. One with a bright future ahead of her. She is so feminine with the sweetest of heads, dark sparkling eyes that were well set with good ear set. Her body proportions were spot on, as was her precise movement both ways. She’s fine and dainty and shows great potential.
2 Leach Sharlarna Mystical Moment another lovely puppy with a beautiful head and good well-proportioned body. I’d like a touch more weight on her and she could be more settled on the move
3 Vine & Burns Yakedo I Want Choo Forever completed three nice puppies
PB (2, 0) Two very good puppies in this class I liked both.
1 Sharp-Dixon &Reyes Sharlarna Chinatsu Avec Queenslake had the edge, maturity, and lovely size. Again fine & dainty with a feminine head, well placed eyes, small v shaped ears and medium neck length. She carried herself well on the move. Another that should have a bright future.
2 Quinn Sharlarna Posh Totty naf taf My remarks on the winner applied to this puppy just needs time.
JB (5, 1) This was a good class
1 Van De Burgt & Strange Capevidles Midnite Madness at Norvanik top class young bitch with lovely head, neat well-set ears set on high. Lovely eye and expression. Excellent body proportions, fine slender bone. Moving well both ways, she has a lot going for her and I’m sure with maturity she will have a bright future.
2 Westwick Kassui Reiko top notch red & white, probably the best of her colour on the day. She has a beautiful head, broad skull, well set ears and good open nostrils. A well balanced and proportioned body. She moves true both ways.
3 Cox Sangria Starstruck
YB (1, 0)
1 Bradley Sharlarna Her Flick one of the soundest in the entire entry. I admired her size. She has a pretty head but would have liked a slightly better expression. She has good bone and was shown in nice condition, and she really impressed me when moving.
PGB (4, 3)
1 Swan Kassui Chaos black & white with pleasing head. In good coat and condition. I liked her nicely proportioned body and steady movement both ways.
LB (2, 0)
1 Leach Sharlarna’s Nipantuck a well-balanced two-year-old of correct size. She has a sweet head, good ear placement and open nostrils. Fine slender bone. Could carry more weight.
2 Swan Kassui Chaos see last class for critic
OB (3, 1)
1 Sharp-Dixon, Leach &Reyes Sharlarna Fantastique such a beautiful well-proportioned bitch with a lovely head, dark well-set eyes, giving the typical chin look. Neat well-set ears, medium neck length, fine slender bone. She looked so fine and dainty moving around the ring. Her coat and condition were superb, and I was happy to award her the BCC and understand it was her 3rd. My congratulations.
2 Bradley Sharlarna Vivacious another well balanced bitch with classic head and she was well balanced and moved quite well both ways.
CB (2, 1)
1 Quinn Ch Sharlarna Eye Candy JW this beautiful bitch is so beautifully balanced throughout. Has a lovely head with the sweetest expression and excellent body proportions. Well set tail, nice silky texture to her coat. It was a close call for the CC. I just felt the daintiness of the Open Winner had the slight edge but she’s divine. RBCC
Eileen Craudord Memorial Special O R&W B (2, 0)
1 Westwick Sharlarna Shakira red & white such a well-presented mature bitch who ticks most of the required boxes. So sound and positive on the move. I would have preferred her smaller.
2 Gullon Adreeam Alice JW this sweet bitch is more the size the standard calls for. She just lacked coat finish today, but she certainly catches the eye on the move.
