I’d like to extend a huge thank you to the officers and committee for the invitation to judge at their Golden Anniversary show. First time at Stafford, and it all ran smoothly despite a few glitches. I had a lovely entry both numerically and in quality, so I was splitting hairs in some classes. To my very able steward Calum you kept everything running to order, thank you for your help, and to each and every one of the exhibitors that came along for my opinion.

Class 1599 JD (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st WHITTICK, Mr Simon & WHITTICK, Mrs Barbara & WHITT Allsong Jelly Bean

18 month BR, head is masculine with eye of correct shape, lovely straight front, with his relatively short neck leading into moderate front angulation, he has decent depth, rear quarters well-muscled, he moved out well but was a touch close at the back.

 2nd: PHILLIPS, Mrs Hannah & PHILLIPS, Mr Jonathan Arcticbreeze City Light

Smart 12 months BW he was just out of puppy and giving a lot away today, I liked his square outline when stacked, he still needs to develop in front, he has a lovely head with dark eye. I preferred his movement to 1, and I am sure he will finish well.

1st: WILLOTT, Miss Georgina & PRAGG, Mr Joseph Arcticbreeze On Vacation

Super outline on this 3 years BR, he is correct for size, with head of good proportions. His neck flows into his level topline that he held on the move, he has good depth of chest and has correct breed angulation being slightly greater at the rear. He moves freely around the ring holding his shape. RBD

2nd: THOMAS, Mr Mark & THOMAS, Mrs Donna Arcticbreeze On The Double (ai):

This BR was of a larger stamp than one and was a touch longer rather than square, that said he has a masculine head and good eye shape with colour toning with coat, he has decent depth with well-muscled rear quarters, his coat was of correct texture and was rustic in appearance.

1st: BOND, Dr K & RAWLINSON, Mr David & RAWLINSON, Mrs Ir Sh Ch Pharises Spencer Tracy

Handsome BW who to be picky is a little on the larger size for me, but he presents a square outline, his head is of good proportions with dark eye, and correct dentition. Neck is strong and leads into his firm topline. He is straight in front with lovely depth. His muscular forequarters are moderately well laid back. Stifles are well bent and he is well muscled at the rear, he moved well once settled with his stand in handler, showing his free and easy stride BD BOS

2nd: TAYLOR, Miss Gina Arcticbreeze Jackpot

Preferred his size, to that of one and he makes a good shape of the stack, masculine head eye colour toning with his coat. He’s a little short in upper arm, but has decent depth of chest, rear quarters are of correct angulation, coat of good texture. he was moving on the fast side today, so was lacking the free and easy stride that’s required.

1st: WHITTICK, Mr Simon & WHITTICK, Mrs Barbara Moonreed Warbler At Allsong: 

Lovely 8-year-old OW, presented in good condition, feminine head of good proportions, well bodied with level topline, correct angles both ends, she moves out well in profile but was a little close at the back.

1st: DAWSON, Miss Ashleigh & BRITON, Mr Dale Arcticbreeze Pebbles Piper:

Super sweet 7-month BW, she has a lovely square outline, head is developing, she has a dark eye of the correct shape, with a perfect scissor bite. Enough body for her age, and she holds a level topline. She has a well bent stifle and upright rear pasterns. She showed her free and easy stride on the move, just needing to tighten up a little, and this is to be expected at her tender age BPB & BPIB

1st: LILLICRAP, Mrs Lucy Bedeslea Firecracker At Princhetts

Pretty BW of 9 months, well portioned head, with short muscular neck leading into her firm topline. Front is straight, with decent body depth, she moves out well in profile but was close going away. Her coat was in good condition.

1st: JOHN, Mrs Lindsey Ann Curlycruz Wild Flower At Frommesbeck

Well-proportioned BW, head is feminine, correct proportions of leg length to body, straight in front with good oval bone and tidy feet. decent body proportions, well-muscled rear quarters that she uses to her advantage in profile, but she was a little close at the back. Her coat was of correct texture.

2nd: PHILLIPS, Mrs Hannah & PHILLIPS, Mr Jonathan Arctic Breeze Kiss Chase:

16-month BR Well bodied with lovely depth but she had a tendency to lose her topline, she has a pretty head and I preferred her movement at the rear to that of 1, but I would like a little more length of leg to balance her.

1st: 3126 COX, Mrs Lesley Amadar Wake Up Little Susie

Lovley bitch of 18 months, she scores in outline and size being square with well-proportioned head and correct eye shape and colour, she has correct depth down to her elbows and a firm topline. Well, proportioned throughout, and once she settled to the job she moved out with that typical free and easy stride. RBB

1st: 3130 LILLICRAP, Mrs Lucy Mizani Sebio Iola At Princhetts

There’s a lot to like about this bitch, square in outline, with lovely head of correct proportions, strong neck into her firm topline, straight in front, with correct body proportions, and correctly angled front and rear. Her movement was so true both coming and going and drives from behind. I would just have like a little less of her in size, but she is a super girl, nonetheless.

1st: 3133 MORT, Mrs Lisa Arcticbreeze Truth Or Dare: 

Super bitch of good breed type, for me she was just spot on for size, and with her lovely outline she is what I was looking for. Her head was of correct portions with skull slightly longer than muzzle, and eyes of correct colour for her coat, she has an endearing intelligent expression, with correct scissor bite. Her front is straight she has correct front angulation with good return of upper arm and her corresponding rear being slightly more angled than the front with good bend of stifle. She moves out well with her easy strides and driving action. BB & BOB
