NORTHUMBRIA AND MERCIA POODLE CLUB 26th July 2026 My thanks to the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge, and to all the exhibitors for your entries I thoroughly enjoyed my day. POODLE (Standard) Class 1 BPD/B NO ENTRIES Class 2 VD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 21 MUNRO, Mr J & Mrs M Magin Blowing A Gayle 7 year-old, presented in a well-prepared scissored lamb trim that complemented his crisp coat. He possesses a lean, well-proportioned head with ample chin and a small, well-shaped dark eye, A well-made dog throughout with moderate angles. He has a straight front with good forechest . Moved out soundly with good tailset and carriage Class 3 MPD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 23 PARKER, Mr Tony & DOLAN, MR Christian Novatell Party Trick With Caroletone A smaller type with a compact outline. He has a pleasing head and, at just 7 months of age, shows promise of developing a good coat. He was a little overawed by the occasion today and, as a result, did not quite settle on the move. Just needs more confidence and ring experience. Class 4 PD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 18 MARFLITT, Mrs Georgina & MARFLITT, Mr David Exalon Dangerous Moonlight Over Dageo What an exciting prospect. High stationed and filling the eye with his fabulous outline. He has a gorgeous head, masculine yet refined, with the darkest of eyes full of fire and intelligence, Good length of neck flowing into a correct front with good fill in forechest. Excellent body and rib, with correct angulation throughout. His tailset and carriage are so correct, completing the balanced picture. He is very elegant and eye-catching on the move. In the challenge he raised his game, producing a super performance that could not be denied the CC also BP and BPIS Class 5 JD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 28 STEPHEN, Miss Lauren Michelle Kamarri Step Ahead. Has a masculine head with a clean backskull. I liked his eye and expression. Presented in well-muscled condition. Good length of neck with well-laid shoulders, although I would prefer a little more return of upper arm, well bodied and spring of rib. He has a good bend of stifle enabling him to drive out well on the move. Overall, he presented a balanced and pleasing picture. Class 6 YD (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 22 O'HIGGINS, Miss S Jasenak Secret Is Safe At Sarnia(imp Serb)cw26 Smaller type with a refined, balanced head, dark eye and soft expression. He has a crisp white coat, presented in continental trim, showing off his dark skin to good effect. Balanced shape, good rear with a good bend of stifle, he drove out well behind but was a little untidy in front today. Class 7 PGD (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: 6 BURTON, Mrs Barbara Highla Dream Machine 3 year-old black with a compact shape, straight front and decent rear. His coat would benefit from more tailoring to show off his attributes. Class 8 LD (5 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 14 IRVING, Mr B & FOSTER, Ms KATE Kamarri Smart Alec. Has a balanced masculine head with a lovely expression. He has a clean backskull ,could be flatter in cheek. Well made and balanced throughout, with plenty of neck and a lovely outline. Topped off with a crisp, dense jacket, which was well presented. He put in a great performance to top this quality class. 2nd: 31 WHEELER, Miss Lynsey Montravia Imitation Game. A close decision between first and second, he was similar in type and overall shape to my winner. Finer in head, which was well chiselled with a lovely eye and kind expression. Good tail set, carried correctly on the move he put in a good performance but didn’t quite have the head carriage of 1 3rd: 9 COLTON, Miss Megan Sachemic's You're A Wizard Res: 25 RUMMING, Mrs Joanne M & RUMMING, Mr Craig Druavella Purple Finan VHC: 29 STURGESS, Mrs Jodie & WILSON, Miss Stephanie Villanders Luxury Lover Class 9 OD (5 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 5 BROOK, Miss F A & BROOK, Mrs C A Ch Sculbrook Raising The Odds. He has matured beautifully and is at his peak, He has a lovely, clean, well-moulded head, lovely outline when stacked with no exaggeration.Presented in excellent coat and condition. Moved soundly and drove out well. In the challenge he insisted on dropping his head slightly, so had to settle for RCC to the youngster who raised his game just at the right time. 2 super boys. 2nd: 32 WILSON, Miss Stephanie & SPOORS, Mrs Stephanie Ch Niaveera See What Lies Ahead JW A finer, rangier type. Has good bone and substance. Handsome head of good length,Well angulated front and rear, with correct tail set and carriage. Well presented dense black coat .Stylish mover using his reachy neck to advantage 3rd: 2 BARKER, Mrs Linda & BARKER, Miss Fenella & BARKER, Ch Montego Am I Kenough For Crystalar JW Res: 12 DOWNES, Miss Rachel Royaldeniz Superwolverine JW VHC: 6 BURTON, Mrs Barbara Highla Dream Machine Class 10 VB (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 19 MOORES, Miss R & SPEAKMAN, Miss S Onyx Demolition Through Ataraksia. Presented in beautiful condition and trimmed to perfection. She has a classic head with a strong muzzle and plenty of underjaw, giving a lovely typical expression. Well balanced throughout with no exaggerations, she held her elegant outline at all times on the move, covering the ground with ease. A quality veteran in excellent form. BV and BVIS 2nd: 20 MULLAN, Mr K J Kekemara Jane Eyre. Presented in a very smart lamb trim that complemented her overall shape. A pretty, feminine girl who showed herself well with plenty of style and presence. She moved confidently, maintaining a pleasing outline throughout. A quality exhibit that made a very attractive picture. Class 11 MPB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 16 ISHERWOOD, Mr T & GADSBY, Mr Michael & LYNN, Mr Ja Afterglow Ablaze. Very promising 9-month-old baby, full of quality. Her sire is one of my all-time favourites, and she has much to admire. Very stylish, with an excellent front and forechest, plenty of body and spring of rib, has a well-angulated rear. She moved with reach and drive, maintaining a lovely outline throughout. A youngster with a bright future Class 12 PB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 10 DAWSON, Miss N Kamarri Meant To Be With Achara Smaller type has a well proportioned compact shape and oozes femininity.. She has a good layback of shoulder, a well-angulated rear, which she used well on the move, for balance would like more reach in front. She held herself well maintaining a lovely outline. A promising puppy with much to like. Class 13 JB (5 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 27 SKINNER, Miss Anna & LYNN, Mr Jason & ISHERWOOD. Afterglow Altered Images Refined and feminine, attractive head, good layback of shoulder, a short, strong back, and well-angulated rear. Good tail set and carriage, giving her a pleasing outline she moved really well, showing good reach and drive, liked her a lot, with more maturity will do well. 2nd: 15 IRVING, Mr B & FOSTER, Ms KATE. Sarnia Takin It Eze. Pretty head with dark eye and pleasing expression ,she has a good front and is well-bodied Balanced proportions throughout. Coat of good texture collected on the move with good carriage . 3rd: 26 RUMMING, Mrs Joanne M & RUMMING, Mr Craig Tafari The Shadow Khaleesi Under Druavella Res: 1 BARBER, Miss Colette Marie Larune Break The Spell VHC: 33 ZAIR, Mrs Lesley Ambersheen Amazing Grace Class 14 YB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 1 BARBER, Miss Colette Marie Larune Break The Spell My res place in Junior, has much to like. She has a feminine, well-chiselled head. Good front and rear angulation, with a coat of good texture. She is a lovely shape Would like more body to complete the picture . Class 15 PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 8 COATES, Mrs Geraldine & COATES, Mr Richard Afterglow Luminary With Angelsam JW A refined, feminine head with a dark eye and pleasing expression. Good length of neck flowing into a balanced outline, with a well-angulated rear. She could be tighter in elbow, overall presents a pleasing picture. 2nd: 4 BENNETT, Miss Laura Bennett Celmareva Wicked Dream An attractive ice-white with dark pigment and silver skin. She has a dark eye and soft, appealing expression, with good body and spring of rib. Tail carried a little over on the move.Still to mature in coat, there is much to like and she presents a pleasing overall picture. Class 16 LB NO ENTRIES Class 17 OB (5 Entries) Abs: 2 1st: 121 Mrs K PATTESON Ch Kamarri Smarty Pantts JW I have admired this girl from ringside, and on going over her today I was not disappointed. She is the ideal size , and has a beautiful head, dark eye, and the most gorgeous expression. Beautifully balanced throughout, with correct angulation fore and aft, a long elegant neck flowing into a short, strong back. She moved with effortless style and drive, carrying her head proudly at all times, so feminine, and a joy to watch. CC and BOB 2nd: 3 BARKER, Mrs Linda & BARKER, Miss Fenella & BARKER, Ch Kamarri Let's Go Barbie To Crystalar JW White, litter sister to first, and very much of the same quality and type. She has a pretty head, lovely strength in foreface and plenty of chin, dark eye, and lovely expression. Shown in a dense, crisp coat, beautifully presented. She has a good front, well-angulated rear, and a long, elegant neck flowing into a short, strong back. Beautifully balanced throughout, she drove out well on the move, maintaining a stylish outline with excellent reach and drive.
