Smooth Coat Chihuahuas 

My thanks to all the exhibitors for bringing their Smooth Coat Chihuahuas for me to judge. I particularly enjoyed the Open Bitch class, which was a strong and competitive class. There were several quality bitches who unfortunately didn’t find their way into the placings but were certainly deserving of awards. I was pleased with mouths overall, however, a few dogs were rather unimpressed by the spiky grass, which did affect their confidence and presentation on the move. My thanks also to the Richmond Committee and my steward for their warm welcome and for looking after me so well. It was a pleasure to judge and I enjoyed my day with you all.

1. Halls Jorazan Kairos Kooky Sox. A very promising young red dog of 9 months. He carried a lovely head with dark round eyes, lovely ears and an excellent mouth. Good neck and topline, with a well-set tail and pleasing overall proportions. Brisk, sound movement with good reach and drive, maintaining his outline beautifully on the move. Presented and showed exceptionally well for such a young dog. A very exciting youngster with a bright future BPD & BPIB

2. Fathers Okajems Monster Mash 9 months with lovely breed type. Full of character and rather naughty today, but when he settled he showed good, sound movement and enough to merit his second place.

1. Burrows Anadeia Ehlark At Lauloura a promising 11 month old fawn. Very attractive young dog with a pleasing outline, lovely neck and good shape head. Excellent tailset and mouth. Moved well and showed beautifully.

2. Smiths Chibull King Louis With Lozek 14 month old Black with little white toes. Excellent length of neck leading to a good head and large flaring ears, good mouth. Moved soundly and showed with a lovely playful attitude.

1. Neath-Coyne Ir Ch Jorazan Sox It Toem With Buffrey JW 23 months old Fawn. Lovely breed type and a very pleasing overall outline. Good head with lovely ears and eyes, good neck and an excellent mouth. Nice compact body with good topline and well-set tail. Brisk, sound movement with good drive, maintaining his outline on the move. Presented and showed very well.

2. Burrows Anadeia Annael 13month cream. Attractive young dog with good breed type and a pleasing outline. Nice head with good ears and expression, good neck and well-set tail. Good mouth and nice topline. Moved soundly and showed well. Very close between these two.

Graduate Dog (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1. Suttons Charonchi Sirius Nikitos 10 months. Lovely young dog with very good breed type and an excellent outline. Good head with lovely ears and dark pigment, good neck and excellent mouth. Nice topline and good tailset. He moved soundly in all directions. Still needs to body up, but a promising youngster who should mature beautifully.

1. Burrows Anadeia Eowyn At Lauloura JW 3 years, red and white. Very nice dog with good breed type and a lovely head and ears. Excellent front and good mouth. Nice compact outline with a good topline and excellent tailset. Moved soundly and did everything asked of him.

2. Smiths Chibull Micky Mouse At Lozek 4 years, blue fawn. Attractive dog with good breed type and a pleasing overall outline. Nice head with good ears, good mouth and lovely expression. Good front, topline and moved soundly with a lovely confident attitude.

1. Huntleys Am Ch Knockout Chuck A Duck For Jahneemahs (Imp US) A first-class tri colour with excellent breed type, a beautiful, balanced outline. Particularly admired his lovely head, large expressive eyes and well placed ears. Good neck, topline and tailset, with an excellent mouth. Beautifully presented and in superb condition. Moved with good reach and drive, sound and positive throughout. Showed well and was a pleasure to judge. Dog CC and BOB 

2. Hicks Xmas Dancer De Petit Roi Mojito At Casiatodo (imp esp) Attractive Fawn sable with excellent breed type and a lovely overall outline. Beautiful large round eyes, good ears and a pleasing head with lovely expression. Good neck, topline and tailset, creating a very attractive picture. Sound, free movement and a lovely temperament. Showed extremely well. RCC

1. Whitelocks Retas Foreign Affair 6½ months, tri. Lovely promising youngster with a nice shape and lots of personality. Good head and good legs. A very attractive puppy who showed well for her first show, sympathetically handled throughout.

1. Crews Anadeia Edraele For Dreamcrewes Red, 10 months. Lovely promising puppy with a beautiful head and large expressive eyes. Good compact type and a pleasing shape. Happy, confident temperament and showed very well. A lovely youngster with plenty to like. BPB

2. Murrays Copymear Such A Charm At Davixity Cream, 11 months. Attractive puppy with a lovely head and good breed type. Large, well-carried ears and a nice overall shape. Good outline, sound on the move with good drive.

2. Holsters Hollichi Designer Destiny Cream, 9 months. Lovely young bitch with good breed type and a pleasing shape. Attractive head with lovely large dark eyes and a good mouth. Moved well. She came back into the ring more relaxed and showing beautifully. A promising youngster with plenty to like.

1. Murrays Davixity The Evangelist Fawn, 1 year. Lovely young bitch with good breed type and an attractive head with large expressive eyes. Nice overall shape and good topline. Her excellent movement was the deciding factor today. She moved soundly with good drive creating a lovely picture as she went around the ring.

2. Halls Jodeschi Sox Appeal At Jorazan Red, 23 months. Attractive bitch with good breed type and a nice overall shape. Lovely large ears and pleasing head, with an excellent mouth. Good outline and tailset. Moved and showed well.

2. Taylors Monicachi Destiny's Call For Saffrosa Red, 9 months. Attractive bitch with good breed type and a pleasing shape. Nice head with lovely ears and an excellent mouth. Good topline and tailset. Moved soundly and is very well schooled, showing beautifully for one so young.

2. Hicks Legado De Lagos La Fama At Casiatodo (imp Esp) Lovely tri with very good breed type and pleasing overall balance. Well-shaped head with a lovely expression. Good neck and level topline, with a well-set tail. Her personality adds to her appeal, she moved confidently and soundly around the ring.

2. Steeles Darnleys Happy Feet Attractive self pigmented cream with pleasing breed type and a good overall shape, slightly larger than 1. Nice large, round eyes and well-carried ears, with pleasing head. Moved soundly with good drive. Unfortunately dropped her tail on the stand and did not show herself quite to her best today, but has plenty to like.

1. Fathers Gestavo Party Lines With Okajem A beautiful bitch with excellent breed type and a lovely, balanced outline. Particularly admired her excellent front, large expressive eyes and well-set tail, giving a very attractive Chihuahua silhouette. Beautiful head and expression, with lovely ears and a very good mouth. Her excellent construction allowed her to move beautifully with brisk sound action and good drive, carrying her tail well and maintaining her outline. Beautifully presented and showed her socks off. 2. Hunts Moltobello Game Of Thrones JW Another exceptionally attractive bitch with excellent breed type and a lovely feminine outline. As I approached the table, she gave me a look that seemed to say she already knew she was something special. Beautiful dark eyes, large well-carried ears and an excellent front. Lovely head and expression, good topline and tailset. Moved with brisk, forceful action. She put up a good fight, a very worthy RCC.
