Three Counties Agricultural Society

Breed: Gundog Group
Thank you to the Society for bringing forward my appointment - a minutes applause was held in honour of Martyn Rees, who’s group this should have been. Thanks to the breed judges I was presented with a fabulously strong Gundog Group, which I could’ve shortlisted again! I finally settled on a shortlist of 12, and for further consideration I chose the GSP, Gordon Setter, Lagotto, Pointer, Golden Retriever, American Cocker, Clumber Spaniel, English Springer Spaniel, Welsh Springer Spaniel, Weimaraner, and Portuguese Pointer from the Import Register. G1. Weimaraner. Rivertone Wicked For Sharnphilly JW. Owned by Mrs S & Mrs S Dyer & Oddie. A fabulous shape when stacked, presented a beautiful profile being slightly longer than she is tall, super head shape, very feminine, well laid shoulders, clean front, deep chest, strong through loin, lovely flow to back end which showed on the move, free flowing, graceful, held her topline well, powerful behind and owned the ring today. G2. Portuguese Pointer. Swiss Sh Ch Fabpoint Pagan Through Pointoak WW23. (Imp PRT). Owned by Mr. M Taylor. Little fire cracker who I have done well before at Open Shows, lovely head piece, clean neck leading into well laid shoulders, correct through front, good spring to rib, correct topline and well muscled behind, clean movement both going away and coming back, showing good driving action. G3. American Cocker. Sh Ch Nujax Happy Halloween. Owned by Mrs A & Mrs L Manser & Nelson. Liked this boy in profile, not over exaggerated, super head and expression, correct in front, good topline, found him in full coat, glided around the ring effortlessly, unlucky to come across 1 and 2 in such form. G4. GSP. Sh Ch Keigame Mystique Aurora JW. Owned by Mrs C & Mr K Adams. Bitch I have recently given a CC to, loved her shape and size, lovely feminine head, good front, well sprung ribs and a firm topline, strong loin with a slight slope from croup to tail set, little unsettled on first move, but once into her stride I couldn’t deny her a place at the top table.
