1ST 2753 - Moontorn Drops of Jupiter with Fecimus (Miss A & Mr J & Miss A Macbain & Harrison & Bellamy)
A quality L/W youngster with lots to like, has great ring presence. He presents a balance compact outline on the stack which he holds together on the move. His head is of good shape in correct proportions, eyes are good shape and colour giving an alert kind expression. He is well made in front with depth and correct width, well ribbed back to short loin and strong well muscled quarters. He is sound and tidy on the move holding a firm topline. BPIB

1ST 2769 - Petranella Strike It Lucky (Ms C P Savell)
A promising L/W young man with a balanced head and is made correct in front, well sprung in rib with good depth and width through. Not quite the expression of my Minor Puppy and needs to tighten on the move coming and going.
2ND 2772 - Bumblecorn Quest (Mrs L & Mr P Stevens)
Here is another promising puppy with a pleasing head and kind expression. He is well made through but not the movement of 1 today. He has time on his side and will improve I am sure.

1ST 2791 - Peasblossom Eros (Miss P Watts)
A nice headed B & W with pleasing eye shape and colour. He is correct in front with good depth, strong bone, well ribbed back to short loin. He moves sound both ways holding a firm topline. He has lot of maturing to do but the basics are there.
2ND 2741 - Favours Joy Ride to Baudelaire (Imp Swe) (Miss H Field-Enticott)
A liver lad of fair type that is very immature compared to 1. He has a well laid shoulder and is well bodied but lacks some depth which hopefully will improve with time. He could not match the movement of 1 today and tended to carry his tail high.

1ST 2751 - Eastriding Royal Gold (Mrs K Jenkinson)
An impressive L & W boy with a beautiful balanced head. He has a lovely front assembly with good depth, strong bone and firm topline. He has strong hind quarters which are thick and well muscled, with hocks well let down. He moves with reach and drive holding a good shape in profile.

1ST 2747 - Teignvalley New Beginnings JW ShCEx OSW (Mrs C Hill)
I have admired this quality B & W boy and he did not disappointed for my first time handling him. He has a masculine head with dark eye. He scores in front and is well developed in depth, ribs well sprung and extending well back to short loin. He has strong, well muscled quarters with hocks well let down. He moves sound with reach and drive holding a striking shape in profile. Res CC
2ND 2775 - Gleadsbury Whataboy at Mujascal JW (Miss J A Such)
L/W of fair type with a well made front, correct in body and strong quarters but moving a little narrow in hind action today and I preferred the head of my winner.

1ST 2773 - Peasblossom Brogan at Gaolachcara (Ms Stevenson)
Not one that hits you straight away on the first look around but he captured me on handling. He is an honest type with everything in proportion and nothing exaggerated. His head is masculine without a hint of coarseness, beautifully made front assembly with lovely depth and correct width. He is correct for body, well ribbed back to short loin and spot on for condition with firm muscle tone. He is foot perfect on the move with reach and drive holding a firm topline. Delighted to award him the CC
2ND 2795 - Cobhay Dashing Dandelion JW (Mrs J, Mrs D & Miss P Williams & Toublic)
One that I have judged before at a lower level and boy has he come on! I love his breed type, his size and his balance. He is masculine but not overdone, he is now mature in body with good angles fore and aft. He moves as he is made, sound.
3RD 2780 - Beresford Stand N' Stare JW (Mrs T E Topliss)
1186. Spaniel (English Springer) - Open Dog

A quality class albeit all of a different type and I had to go with my heart for the type I prefer.
1ST 2784 - Beresford On My Way with Acregate (Miss J J Tracz)
An upstanding L/W mature boy with a handsome head. He scores in front assembly with big ribs and lovely depth and width all through. He stands four square on strong legs and tight feet, moves sound with reach and drive holding a great shape in profile and firm topline.
2ND 2779 - Sh Ch Beresford Lockdown (Mrs T E Topliss)
This boy is a size smaller than 1 and I thought he was my winner on the stack. He has a masculine balanced head with good expression, strong in front with depth to forechest. He has strong quarters and moves sound but was carrying a tad too much weight for me today and was rolling on the move.

A female that is immature compared to winner. She has a feminine head and is well made all through. She needs time on her back and I would like to see her when she matures.

1ST 2749 - Ir Sh Ch Clentonian Pandemonium JW ShCEx OSW VW (Mrs M Hydon)
A B/W lady in tip top condition with a beautiful feminine head and dark eye giving the desired expression. She is balanced with correct angles both ends and she flows on handling. She holds it all together on the move with an impressive side gait and sound on the up and down.
2ND 2764 - Clentonian Picture Perfect (Mr R & Mrs J Reynolds)
A L/W sister to winner but so different in type, slightly heavier in head. She has a good front assembly with mature body well ribbed back to short loin. She is sound on the move but couldn’t match her sister’s enthusiasm today.

1ST 2750 - Eastriding Gold Dust (Mrs K Jenkinson)
Such a sweet feminine L & W girl with a pretty head of good proportions. I liked her size, make and shape and she is well developed for her age. She is well made and moves sound but sadly no tail action today. I am sure she will settle and grow in confidence.

Two promising L/W pups at different stages of development.
1ST 2768 - Petranella Strike A Pose (Ms C P Savell)
This pleasing young female has a lovely head and eye, she scores in front construction with plenty of depth for her age and beautiful reach on the move. She is well bodied and has a firm level topline, sound on the move.
2ND 2757 - Petranella Strike It Rich (Mrs P & Ms C P & Mr P W Wallis & Savell & Osbourne)
Another promising L/W youngster with many attributes as the winner but this one needs more time as she is not so together. She is moving sound but still rolling somewhat, her time will come I am sure.
1191. Spaniel (English Springer) - Junior Bitch
Entries: 2 Absentees: 0
Difficult to split as they are chalk and cheese.
1ST 2756 - Sieger's She's A Classic for Wythnick (Imp Dan) (Mr L & Miss A & Mrs D Nicklin & Bellamy & Nicklin)
This L/W & T has a pretty head but would like a shade darker eye. Her front is strong and well developed, her body is well ribbed and nicely angled both ends giving a balanced profile. Her movement is sound, however I would prefer a lower tail carriage.
2ND 2746 - Peasblossom Emotions with Teignvalley (Mrs C Hill)
A B/W girl with lots to like, her head is feminine of good proportions with a dark eye, she is well made in front and is balanced in body with strong well muscled quarters. I found her dropping off a little at the croup and she was untidy on the move today.
1192. Spaniel (English Springer) - Yearling Bitch

1ST 2745 - Annavah Ablaze (Miss L & Mrs P & Mrs A Havard & Havard & Corbett)
My star of the day, she caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring. This beautiful L/W young lady is right up my street, she appealed for overall size, type and balance built on clean lines, she combines femininity with substance and strength. I loved her head piece with classic chiselling below the eyes, her shoulders are so well laid back with corresponding length of upper arm, has depth in spades. She has super width over the rear and thick well muscled quarters which gave great drive on the move with plenty of reach in front. She moved sound with bags of enthusiasm which tipped the balance. Put down to the minute. Delighted to award her the CC & BOB
2ND 2752 - Eastriding Royal Style (Mrs K Jenkinson)
Another quality L/W consistent with the type from this kennel. She has a pretty balanced head and kind eye, she is strong in front and has correct body. Not the footfall on the move as my winner today.

1ST 2777 - Meonstoke Wild Thyme Ir Jch (Mrs K C Taubman)
A L/W girl with a beautiful head of good proportions with super chiselling below the eyes. She excels in front with clean shoulder placement, super upper arm and plenty of depth to brisket. She is well developed in body with great ribbing well extended to short muscular loin and strong broad well muscled quarters. She moves sound with a tidy action in profile.
2ND 2755 - Daenerys Girl On Fire at Dexbenella JW (Mr L E Nicklin)
Another beautiful L/W girl that filled my eye for her type and balance and her presentation was outstanding. I loved her classic head, she is well ribbed in body with plenty of depth, she has strong well muscled quarters. Not so clean over the shoulder as the winner.
3RD 2748 - Teignvalley Rags to Riches JW (Mrs C Hill)
1195. Spaniel (English Springer) - Limit Bitch
Entries: 7 Absentees: 3
Two beauties headed this class albeit of different types.
1ST 2781 - Beresford Stand On Ceremony JW (Mrs T E Topliss)
This girl appealed for her femininity and strength throughout. She has a super head with lovely expression, she is beautifully balanced with strong front and well developed broad quarters and correct in body with plenty of depth. Sound on the move with striking side gait holding a firm level topline.
2ND 2737 - Sieger’s See Eye to Eye with Trimere (Imp Dk) NAF (Mrs A Corbett)
This girl is lovely to handle, your hands glide from one part of her body to the next seamlessly. She has strength in abundance and puts all in on the move. She is sound with good drive and reach. I just preferred the femininity of winner.
3RD 2758 - Tiroen Typically Braego (kcj) (Mr P W Osbourne)
1196. Spaniel (English Springer) - Open Bitch

1ST 2738 - Sh Ch Trimere Time Flys (Mrs A Corbett)
Without a shadow of doubt this is quality female from the top drawer. She oozes breed type and balance and stands four square on strong legs and tight feet. Her head is beautiful with lovely expression. Her front is strong with plenty of depth and correct width through. She has broad well muscled quarters with great width over the rear, correct set on tail and carriage. She moves with such soundness and is beautifully turned out. She lacked some enthusiasm in the challenge and that tipped the balance for me. Delighted to award her the Res CC
2ND 2776 - Ir Sh Ch Meltarose Madeleine at Meonstoke (Mrs K C Taubman)
Another cracking girl with pretty feminine head, she has super balance all through from her strong well developed front through her mature body to her strong hindquarters. Just not the footfall or enthusiasm today to be considered for top honours.
