I wish to express my gratitude to the officer’s and committee for their invitation to judge at this exhibitor friendly, well-organized show.
I was delighted with my entry of 38 dogs and wish to thank the exhibitors for entering them. All the exhibits presented in good condition, displayed super temperaments and there was no evidence of HFH.
SB D (1/0)
1st Bilarney hot cross bun (Print & Thomas) – This male is good for size and balance, well-proportioned head with correctly placed ears and eyes of the desired size and shape. He has enough neck into well laid-back shoulders, correct topline, good depth of ribs and a good set on. He was turned out in good coat and condition and moved true fore and aft, but from side profile I would prefer more reach and drive. Best special beginner.
Puppy D (1/0)
1st Carliams border force for Dylarne (Fergeson-Blakeley) – A well presented puppy sporting a correctly textured jacket and furnishings and he is good for size, bone and condition. His head is of balanced proportions, and his correctly placed ears and eyes are of the desired size and shape to enhance his expression. He has enough neck into a well-constructed forehand and he holds a decent topline and carries his tail well but it is a tad too low set. His quarters are correctly angulated and he moved with precise footfall in front, but rather wide behind which impeded his chance to win BPIS.
Junior D (3/1)
1st Montelle all is bright at Sunnystone (Thomas) – A very typical young male teeming with quality. He has a lovely length of head, and his skull is flat and clean with a proportionate foreface. His typical expression is attributed by his correctly placed eyes and ears of the desired size and shape. He has enough neck into a well-constructed forehand, good depth of ribs, correct topline and a good set on. His well-muscled quarters are moderately angulated, but on the table, he tends to turn his back feet outwards, appearing cow hocked. He was presented in super condition and moved soundly out and back but let his handler down by misbehaving in the challenge and just regained his posture in time to win the RCC.
2nd Ruby’s Harold (Kershaw) – Bigger type of male who has a good length of head correctly shaped eyes and a good mouth but wasn’t using his ears today which affected his expression. He has a good length of rib but could be a tad shorter in the loin and his tail is well set. He was presented in good condition and moved sound in the rear and toed in slightly in the front.
Novice D (1/0)
1st Coerflamant Aodhan (Shortman) – This male is good for size and balance. His head is good for length but a tad heavy in back skull and his eyes and ears are good for size and shape. He appears a touch heavy over his front which is well constructed and he carries a typical topline and tail set. He moved accurately out and back and was turned out in good condition.
PG D (3/0)
1st Coerflamant Aodhan (Shortman)
2nd Newguild Rhythm (Hancox) – This male has a balanced head but refused to use his ears which affected his expression. He is spot on for size, bone and balance and his correctly textured jacket and furnishings were presented in good order. He moved true fore and aft with correct reach and drive when viewed from side profile. He was reluctant to being examined on the table and did not have the showmanship of the winner.
Limit D (3/0)
1st Coerflamant Aodhan (Shortman)
2nd Brucephela quito berry (Simons) – This male has a good length of head but a touch heavy in back skull for optimum balance. He has good bone and substance and was presented in good order. HIs front is correctly constructed, and he carries a typical topline. He moved true in front and a little close in the rear.
3rd Bilarney hot cross bun (Print & Thomas)
Open D (5/2)
1st Apispolb Solstice Druid (A.I) (Chilvers) – I judged this male as a puppy and liked him enough to award him the RCC. I was therefore pleased to judge him today now he has matured and pleased to see he has fulfilled his early promise.
His flat skull is clean and good for length with correctly placed ears and eyes of the desired size and shape to enhance his expression. His strong foreface is of the correct ratio to his skull, and he has a good bite. His neck is good for length and fits into shoulders set well back with enough length and slight return of upper arm to hold his elbows closely to his deep ribs. His legs are straight, well boned and he has good feet. He carries a correct level topline with a slight rise over his well-muscled loins to a good tail set. His well-muscled quarters are moderately angulated to mirror his front construction, and he was presented in super condition. He moved with precise footfall out and back and covered the ground effortlessly when viewed from side profile. He never stopped showing and was awarded the DCC & BIS.
2nd Newguild Royal (Bentley) – Stallion of a male portraying a typical racy outline. He has a long head with correctly placed ears giving a typical expression. Clean over the front with shoulders set at the desired angle and straight forelegs onto good feet. Correct topline and tail set and his well-muscled quarters are moderately angulated. He moved soundly both ways and covered the ground effortlessly with great reach and drive. I would have preferred him in a better jacket and more finer trimming. I considered him for the RCC.
3rd Kerrykeel Damhnaic (Anderson)
Veteran D (1/0)
1st Tootrock Arcturus (McConnell) – He is too big for me; however, he does have qualities as his head is good for length and his ears are well placed. He has a good length of neck and well laid-back shoulders, good topline and tail set. He was presented in good coat and condition and moved soundly both ways. Best veteran
Special beginners B (3/0)
1st Berwyndogs Caoimhe (Ekeroth) – This female is spot on for size and balance. Her head is clean and good for length, and she has a keen eye, but I would prefer her ears placed higher. She has a well angulated forehand, level top line with a slight arch over her loins and a good tail set. She moved true with correct footfall and has the desired attitude for showing, however the handler needs mentoring with trimming, presentation and handling as this cost him in the challenge to win Best special beginner in show.
2nd McFinns Grace O’Malley (Cresswell) – Similar size to 1st and has a long and clean head, good front construction, top line and tail set. Moved true both ways and would benefit from more ring training. I preferred the overall type and balance of the winner.
3rd McFinns Betsy Boo (Bennett & Kennedy)
Minor puppy B (1/0)
1st Magairlin Adhmoir Artemis (Price) – Just over 6 months of age and very raw as you would expect, but she has lots of promise. She portrays a racy silhouette, and I liked her clean and feminine head and strong foreface which is of the desired ratio for optimum balance. Her typical expression is attributed by her eyes and ears which are correct for size, shape and placement. She is correctly angulated in her forehand and quarters and she holds a typical topline and a good tail set. She was turned out in excellent coat and condition and moved true both fore and aft with the desired footfall when viewed from side profile. BPIS.

1st Newguild River (Karau) – A very feminine female who is a nice size and presents a racy outline. She has a lovely clean head, flat skull and a proportionate foreface with correctly placed eyes and ears of the desired shape and size to enhance her expression. She is well constructed in her front and rear and nicely conditioned in muscle tone. She moved true both ways and was presented in good condition but would benefit from a little finer trimming to complete the picture.
2nd Magairlin swan river (Buss) – Another bitch who is good for size and outline. Her head is not as clean as 1st , her eyes are a tad bold, and her ears were not settled which affects her expression. She has a good length of neck into well placed shoulders, holds a good topline and tail set and was presented in good coat and condition.

1st Apispolb standing stones (a.i) (Chilvers) – This bitch has a good front assembly with shoulders placed well back and she holds her elbows tidily to her frame. Her head is clean, flat and good for length with the correct ratio of foreface, with well-placed eyes and ears attributing to her typical expression. She was presented in lovely condition and moved with precision both ways. I considered her for the RCC.
2nd Peartree Primrose (Jones) – This bitch has a lovely head and expression, enough neck into a well made forehand, deep ribs and a good set on. She moved soundly fore and aft with good reach and drive and wearing a correctly textured jacket. She was a touch slack in top line, and her presentation was not as finished as 1st.

She moved true out and back and covers the ground with correct footfall when viewed from side profile. BCC. In the challenge for BOB the male put on a better performance.
2nd CH Eata the great with Brazen – Another very typical female who has a lovely head and expression attributed by her correctly placed eyes and ears. She is clean over her moderately angulated front assembly and holds her elbows tidily to her developed frame. Her topline is firm and she has a good tail set. Her quarters are well developed in muscle tone and mirror her front angles. Her correctly textured jacket and furnishings were presented in lovely order, and she moved soundly both ways with correct footfall when viewed from side profile. She pushed 1st all the way and I was splitting hairs, RBCC.
3rd CH Ivyblue red sunlight (Lee)
Veteran B (3/1)
1st Holbam Celtic little mix (Redman) – Eight years of age and presented in super coat and condition. She has a good head and expression when she decides to use her ears. She has a well angulated forehand, deep ribs, level topline with a slight rise over her loins, and carries her tail well, although I would prefer a higher tail set. Moved well both ways.
2nd Holbam Celtic Erin (Simons) – Similar size to 1st but carrying too much weight which spoils her outline. Decent head with typical eyes but flying her ears which spoils her expression. Good texture to jacket and moved true both fore and aft. Not the outline or presentation as 1st.
