I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the Officers and Committee for the kind invitation to judge at this show. It was both a pleasure and a privilege to assess the exhibits entered under me. My thanks also go to the exhibitors for their entries, and presenting their dogs in such good condition, and accepting my decisions in a sporting manner.

Puppy Dog (0, 0a)

Junior Dog (1, 0a)

1st – Starryedge Titan Buck (Mr L & Mrs A Spain)

A well-balanced youngster with a correct wedge-shaped head, keen expression. Ears of correct size, set on high and lying close to cheeks. Alert and attentive personality. I liked his overall body proportions, with well-angulated hindquarters, correct tail set and hocks well let down. Once settled, he moved with a straight, free-flowing stride, showing good reach and drive.

Post Graduate Dog (1, 0a)

1st – Magicus Silvestris Prins Peter Pan (Imp Nor) (Ms L Bailey)

Long skull, flat with large black nose and correct scissor bite. Pleasing front with adequate bone, neck of good length with crest, well bodied, good ribbing, muscular loin. Attractive rich tan markings, with short smooth coat. Moved soundly and covered the ground well.

Open Dog (2, 0a)

1st – Ch Safiette Theos Doron (Mrs G & Mr P Bodsworth)

A smart, well-balanced dog, he has a beautiful front with forelegs tucked in, and well arched toes. Liked his ear set, giving him a typical Manchester expression, but would have preferred a darker eye. Neck slightly arched running into well laid shoulders, enough depth of chest, spring of rib, and muscular loin. Moved confidently with drive. Presented in an excellent condition with a short glossy coat.

2nd – Isari King of Hearts at Starryedge (Ms V E Hayllor)

Dark keen almond eyes, long skull, would prefer a smaller ear and set higher. Good width of front, enough bone, acceptable body length and topline with muscular hindquarters. Moved well.

Veteran Dog (1, 0a)

1st – Ch Talanors Time for Fun ShCEx VW (Mr F Warner)

A quality veteran who is still shown in top condition. Correct wedge-shaped head and expression. Narrow deep chest with forelegs under body. Neck long set into well laid shoulders . Good length of body and muscled throughout. Moved soundly with purpose.

Puppy Bitch (2, 0a)

1st – Starryedge Mamaquilla (Ms V E Hayllor)

An 11-month-old bitch with a correct wedge-shaped head, with dark almond-shaped eyes.A little unsure of herself at times, but demonstrates true breed characteristics. Well bodied with muscular hindquarters, sufficient bend of stifle and enough tuck-up, together with a slight arch over the loin. Moved well.

2nd – Cacwn Starling (Miss A Whitwell)

Correct for height, although a little longer cast than the winner. Good length of neck flowing into well-laid shoulders, with a good spring of rib for her age. Feminine head with flat, level skull and attentive expression . Strong hindquarters with correct tail set. Presented in excellent condition.

Junior Bitch (1, 0a)

1st – Bacolibay's Shrike (Miss L & Mr G Bailey & Hancocks)

A little nervous on the day, but beautiful head and expression with a dark small eye, lovely set and shape of ears. Shoulders clean and well laid back, pleasing topline . Short, glossy coat with rich tan markings. Moved freely.

Post Graduate Bitch (0, 0a)

Open Bitch (2, 0a)

1st – Eaglespur Guelder Rose (Mrs G M Westwood)

Wedge shaped head with correct proportions and dark almond eye, Straight front with elbows tucked in. Good depth, spring of rib carried well back. Muscular loin. Lovely tan markings with thumbprints. Moved well.

2nd – Nespoli You Are My Sunshine (Mr L & Mrs A Spain)

An elegant, feminine bitch of correct size. Dark keen eye with correct ear, I would prefer however a little more width and strength of muzzle. Good depth of rib with spring, balanced throughout with good rear angulation. Moved with reach and drive.

Veteran Bitch (0, 0a)
