Welsh Kennel Club

Breed: Mastiff
Puppy Dog (1) 1. Pennie’s, Talisman of Seven Oaks, 6 months old, he is well grown, strong muzzle, nice clean eye, at this time a scissors bite. Nice reach of neck, topline is a shade soft today. He had good bone and feet, nicely angulated in the front, a little straighter in the rear, moved freely. Best Puppy in Breed. Post Graduate Dog (1) 1. Williams’ Savarow Alton, not quite 2 years old, Brindle with a powerful head, nice clean eye, a little loose on the lip. He has a powerful neck, today I would have preferred a better flow to his topline. Needs to find some more balance on the move and to improve coming and going. Limit Dog (2) 1. Graham’s Savarow Adonis at Odextin, 21 months old, he has a strong masculine head with an excellent mouth, powerful neck, enough bone, excellent topline, good substance to the body, excellent croup, angulations were balanced and he was pleasing on the move. Reserve Dog CC. 2. Harris’, Quincy of Seven Oaks, 2 years old a strong headed male with a reverse scissors bite. A little too much wrinkling on the head for me. He has good bone and excellent feet, topline was a little soft in the stance, but when he moved he carried the topline better. Open Dog (5,1) 1. Zadeh’s, Ch Suncamo Kayden with Faynad, 2 years old, compact in the body, pleasing head, would have preferred a better bite, nice clean eye, topline was good, he has excellent bone and feet, excellent substance in the body and he moved well and held his shape well. Dog CC & BOB 2. Burgoine, Burgoine & Nicholas’, Ch Hallberd Finbar, almost 5 years old Brindle with a very pleasing head. I was very taken with this boy initially, he had good balance in his stance, excellent bone and feet, angulations are balanced front and rear and he has an excellent croup. I would have preferred a cleaner eye and he disappointed a little on the move, skipping a little in the rear at times. 3. Herrings’, Int Ch & Lux, Bel, Nld & Dk Ch Womlu Worth the Wait with Heffalump. Veteran (1,1) Puppy Bitch (2) 1. Bowdery & Nicholas’, Morganlefay Naughty Girl, I liked this youngster, she was just a shade unsettled in the ring today. Well grown for her 11 months, but beautifully balanced. She has the frame and now just needs to fill it. Head was pleasing, good reach of neck, topline a shade soft today, good croup, balanced angulations. 2. Dickens’, Cyberus Strikes A Pose, 7 months and she needs lots of time. Eyes need to clear and she has to grow into her ears which appear quite large at this time. Has the bone and feet, topline was not too bad good angulations, needs to find some balance on the move. Junior Bitch (1) 1. Clark’s, Hallberd Jodie, 15 months old, a pleasing type, she needs a little more strength in the head and the eyes need to clear. Good neck and topline, she has enough bone and good feet, she moved freely and held a very good topline on the move. Open Bitch (3,1) 1. Barrett’s, Phoebe of Seven Oaks at Valdenton, 2 years old, she was very well presented and handled and presented a very pleasing outline. I would prefer more strength to her head and a little less wrinkling. She has a lovely neck and an excellent topline, nice clean eye, good bone and feet, excellent hind quarters and she was balanced on the move, Bitch CC. 2. Dickens’, Cyberus Posed to Impress, 2 years old, strong headed female with good bone and excellent substance. She was well angulated front and rear, unfortunately losing topline on the move today and I would like to see her more balanced on the move. Reserve Bitch CC. Judge ; Paul Lawless
