Many thanks to the Welsh Kennel Club for inviting me to judge Whippet Bitches and thank you to the exhibitors for the nice atmosphere at ringside and taking my placings so sportingly.

Veteran Bitch (7,2)

1. Wilkinson’s, Citycroft Starfall, 9 years old cream, very pleasing outline, in wonderful condition for her age. She has a balanced head with a lovely eye, nice reach of neck, good topline with a gentle rise over the loin. Good bone and feet, well angulated, very pleasing side gait.

2.Turner’s, Gilnockie Have Faith, 8 years old black female with a very harmonious outline. Feminine head, eye just a touch prominent. Good flat bone, excellent feet. In super condition for her age, she had a nice flow from the neck into an excellent topline. Her side gait was excellent, would prefer her slightly better coming and going.

3. Stephens’, Dolce Diva Divine N’ Delary at Jasteal.

Minor Puppy Bitch (8,4)

1. Spademan, Mycroft, Morris & Waddell’s, Wentvalley Gosh She’s Posh at Crosscop, 7 months old brindle, with a lovely outline. She has been very well schooled. Feminine head with a lovely eye, nice reach of neck and excellent topline. She excelled on the move with a long low stride. Best Puppy in Breed on agreement with my co-judge and delighted to see her later be placed in the Puppy Group.

2. Wheelers, Ranveli Czech Her Out, 6 months old and a very pleasing type. She is a lovely size and shape, beautiful feminine head, good flow from the neck into an excellent topline, Good bone and feet, not quite so settled in the ring today but she is only a baby, pleased on the move.

3. Bennett’s Beetelian Rogue at Alamayn.

Puppy Bitch (7,1)

1. Spademan, Mycroft, Waddell & Poole’s, Crosscop Oops I Did It Again with Supeta, 7 months old, very striking puppy with a lovely outline. She has a balanced head, good bone and excellent feet. Angulations are balanced front and rear and she is very pleasing to go over, can improve a little more on the move.

2. Lewis’, Luckhurst Elphaba, 9 months old, very pleasing type. Fine feminine head, good flow from neck into a nice topline. Could stand a little better in her front at times, she had a very nicely balanced side gait.

3. Tyson’s, Starceylon She’s Just A Lady.

Junior Bitch (9)

1. Mycroft, Spademan, Morris & Waddell’s, Supeta’s Too Glam To Giva Damn with Crosscop, just turned 12 months, cream with a lovely outline, very eye catching. Feminine head, lovely eye, nice reach of neck flowing into an excellent topline with a gentle rise over the loin. Angulations are balanced and she was very pleasing on the move, Reserve Bitch CC.

2. Brodie & Owens’, Wolfscastle Crazy In Luv, 17 Months old, slightly longer cast than the winner, she presented a very nice outline, her angulations are balanced and she impressed in the side gait, holding a lovely shape on the move.

3. Forrester & Macfarlane’s, Collooney Anytime Anyplace at Finix.

Yearling Bitch (7)

1. Cockwell’s, Cobyco Capture the Magik, 21 months, shapely female with a feminine head. Very nice eye, nice flow from the neck into an excellent topline, pleasing underline, angulations are balanced and she was pleasing on the move, coming & going and in the side gait.

2. Mallinson’s, Edenwhip A Moment in Thyme, almost 2 years old, very striking female, she has a feminine head, long neck, good topline, nice curves, a little unsettled on the table today. Needs to find a little more balance coming and going on the move, her side gait was pleasing.

3. Ryan’s, Riocife To The Moon and Back.

Novice Bitch (6,1)

1. Nixon’s, Afterglow Don’t Dilly Dally, 12 months nicely marked brindle with a pleasing head and a lovely eye. She presents a very nice shape, she has good bone and feet, angulations are balanced. She needs to find a little more balance on the move.

2. Lloyd’s, Penwincoed Pamela Pumpkin, 22 months, shapely female. Quite fine in the head, good flow from the neck into a nice topline. She needs to find a little more balance coming and going on the move.

3. Lunn’s, Starceylon She’s Just a Rose.

Graduate Bitch (8,1)

1. Coulter’s Collooney Strawberry Wine, 2 years old, shapely female who has a lovely balanced head and a nice eye. She has excellent bone and feet, was really good coming and going, has an excellent side gait holding a lovely shape and she was expertly handled.

2. Williams’ Eryri Sweetie Pie, 2 years old, she is beautiful standing, lovely feminine head good bone, nice flow from the neck into the topline. Slightly forward placed in the shoulder and a little high stepping in the front on the move.

3. Swan’s, Cygnetsnest Moonlight.

Post Graduate Bitch (5,2)

1. Green & Ratcliffe’s, Crosscop Here You Come Again Arrodare, 18 months old, medium size with a lovely outline. Balanced feminine head with a nice eye. She has a wonderful side gait, is good coming and going and holds an excellent shape on the move.

2. Lister & Swarbricks’, Edenwhip Ima Bright Star, 3 years old, taller girl than the winner, but a nicely balanced outline. She has a pleasing head, good neck and topline, excellent bone and feet. Her side gait was ok, but she needs to improve coming towards.

3. Leathart’s, Ringmore Jocasta.

Mid Limit Bitch (6,1)

1. Perkins & Van Der Schaaf’s, Silkridge Mistletoe Smooch, 20 months old quality female with a lovely outline. Feminine head with a lovely eye, ears well carried, good neck and an excellent topline. Excellent well muscled rear quarters, good long stride and held her shape well on the move.

2. Myers‘, Supetas Taste The Rainbow with Astrozone, 4 years old light brindle, attractive feminine head and a good reach of neck. Nicely angulated in the rear, tuck up is a little extreme, very pleasing side gait.

3. Halliday & Croxford’s, Aarminias French Fancy at Whittimere.

Limit Bitch (13,2)

1. Spademan, Mycroft, Morris & Waddell’s, Crosscop California Barbie from Supeta, 3 years old cream female with a lovely outline, would prefer a little more depth to the chest. She has a pleasing neck and topline, good bone and feet, balanced angulations and moved freely.

2. Woodward’s, Tervanty Magic Dragon, 2 years old with a feminine head, nice eye, good reach of neck and good topline, good spring of rib, excellent hindquarters, was good coming and going would prefer her to just hold a slightly better shape in profile.

3. Fry’s Jothryn Rebelled in Joy.

Open Bitch (6,1)

1. Perkins & Van Der Schaaf’s, Ch Creme Anglaise’s Entourage with Silkridge, 2 years old, stylish female with a beautiful feminine head, lovely eye, excellent reach of neck flowing into a good topline. Good flat bone and excellent feet, excellent rear quarters and she was lovely to watch on the move. Pleased to award her the Bitch CC and for her to go Best of Breed on agreement of the Referee and nice to see her do so well later in the Group.

2. Morris, Waddell, Spademan & Mycroft’s, Ch Crosscop Temptation to Supeta, 2 years old, lovely female, beautiful outline, stands well front and rear. Lovely head, nice eye good reach of neck, good depth of chest, pleasing topline. Lovely rear angulation, nice side gait, would just like to see her more positive in the rear moving away.

3. Green & Radcliffe’s, Ch Crosscop Bumble Bee by Arrodare.

Special Beginners Bitch (9,1)

1.Blenkarn’s, Penwincoed Kim Possible of Hareghyll, 2years old with a pleasing feminine head and a nice eye. Good reach of neck and nice topline, A little severe tuck up and I would prefer more strength to the pastern. Moved well.

2. Prowse’s, Freehamlet Saint Matilda, 4 years old, lovely bitch standing, feminine head, nice though somewhat small eye, nice neck and topline. Good rear quarters, but she disappointed on the move today.

3. Bayley’s, Ohoka Top Model at Hengilfach.

Special Coursing Bitch (2)

1. Leathart’s, Ringmore Jocasta, almost 3 years old, feminine head with a long neck. Good bone Slightly sloping croup, excellent well muscled rear quarters. Good side gait, needs to improve coming and going on the move.

2. Bowsher’s, Zoraden Fifty Shades Darker, Curvy black veteran bitch, she has a feminine head, loses shape on the move and I would like more balance in her side gait.
