I would like to thank all the exhibitors for their entries & the sporting manner in which they took my decisions. I thoroughly enjoyed judging the your dogs & I thought all of the exhibits had excellent temperaments.

For me the essence of a Weimaraner is a medium sized dog, with moderate angles, a noble head, ears that curl inwards. I personally do not find the heavy boned, long bodied dogs that can seen in the ring attractive.

1ST 18291 - Theondale Hopeful Heart (Mrs D Dobbs), nice make & shape, wouldn’t want him any longer, he held a firm topline, good head & neck well made front & rear, good legs & feet, correct depth of brisket, moved out well & covered the ground. 

2ND 18316 - Sabsky Karlstejn (Mrs D J & Mr J R Kerslake), a very happy excitable boy, loved his attitude to life, liked his head & neck into a good front, good rear, he just needs to settle on the move & he will hold his outline as he matures.

 2ND 18369 - Silberliss Secret Weapon (Mrs Nm Warr), although this dog was rather bouncy, when he did settle you could see that he had a balanced outline & he moved out & covered the ground.

Lovely head & neck well made front, correct depth of brisket, good underline, well made rear, he held a firm outline at all times & moved out well & covered the ground, he was a joy to watch on the move.  2ND 18311 - Wallaroo Red Dwarf (Dr L Jennings), this girl was on the long side & she was a tad soft in topline at times, but I preferred her front construction to 3, ok head & neck, moderate rear, moved ok.
