2245. Japanese Akita Inu - Puppy Dog

1ST 4810 - Ashkari Red Alert (Mr N Fiddes)

 good proportions through skull with good under fill. lovely eyes and good pigmentation. Ears could be set and carried a little better. Good neck leading into well-laid shoulders, well carried tail and sound rear quarters. Longer than high with a level Topline. Moved soundly both coming and going and was the more balanced exhibit on the move today, which gave him the edge in this class.

2ND 4819 - Arashikensha Rei No Senshi (Miss M Rayner) Attractive dog who presented a super silhouette when stood and with a better head than 1 with a lovely expression. Lovely almond eyes well well in skull. Good front and of good bone stood on good feet. Muscular neck and chest, with pleasing overall shape and tail carriage. Good rear quarters. Unfortunately today this boy was favouring a rear leg, which affected his movement and prevented him from pressing the winner more closely.

1ST 4813 - Fujin Go Daruma Kensha Ir Jun Ch Cw-J'26 (Mr R Gioffre) 12-month-old youngster full of breed type and what a personality this boy has. Fabulous head with good expression. Correct ear shape and size set well on skull well-filled cheeks and correct almond eyes of good shape and size. Good front with a well-arched neck flowing into good shoulders and chest. Tail set high and carried correctly. Rear angulation was sound with a good turn of stifle well muscled thighs and strong hocks. Moved like a dream once settled, showing excellent balance and carriage throughout. This boy will push for top honours I’m sure.

1ST 4817 - Tsoyu Wakahiko Go Breezelyn (Mrs J & Mrs A Pike & Carter) what a beautiful dog this is and a true credit to handler/breeders for producing him and bringing him under me today. Super outline and masculine appearance without being coarse. Lovely eyes set well in a skull that has good width and depth and are of good shape with a look that gives you “just look at me”. Ears have correct shape and slightly hooded set well flowing into a good neck. Longer than high in cast with good chest, secure topline, high tail carriage and balanced rear angulation to match his forequarters. Well muscled throughout and moved out super well with a lovely rear drive and a free action in front. Best Dog and I heavily considered him for BOB Just preferred the extra drive in movement of the bitch today.

2ND 4812 - Naoki Go Di Bordakitainu Kensha (Imp Ita) NAF TAF (Mr N Fiddes) a pleasing shape to this dog. Head proportions ok with well rounded cheeks Softer in ear than the winner. Pleasing eyes which are of good shape size and colour and set well. Good lay of shoulder leading down into a parallel straight front of good bone and stood on good feet. Firm Topline with good length to loin met with a correct tail set but could be carried a little tighter. Rear construction good with well developed thighs and strong hocks. Moved out well.

1ST 4802 - Multi/int Ch Seijitsu Amafumi Go Tsoyu Dw24 An Ch25 (Miss S Bennett) Super outline with much to like on this boy. Attractive head with good muzzle to skull ratio, well rounded cheeks giving a lovely expression. Well assembled forequarters with a good lay of shoulder, elbows close to a well developed chest and strips on well rounded tight feet. Topline is secure and good length through body. Tail carriage could occasionally be stronger. Moved very well and with purpose to take the class all whilst covering the ground. 

2ND 4815 - Hitorikko Go Hajimari under Kyuuten (Imp Pol) (Mr & Mrs Grundy) Four-year-old dog with a fabulous head and good proportions. Correct ears, flat skull and good depth of muzzle. Good neck, shoulders and chest. Well muscled throughout. Good length through body with a well muscled loin. High set tail which is carried well. Rear have a little more angulation throughout, but muscled well. Moved out well in front with a clear parallel movement just needs to tidy up a little in rear.

1ST 4803 - Seijitsu Chizuru (Miss S Bennett)

  Pretty seven-month-old girl of super type with a lovely feminine outlook. Good ears which are set well on skull and are of correct shape. Good length to muzzle with well rounded cheeks. Neck flows neatly into a super front assembly with a good lay of shoulder and return of upper arm. Super Topline for a youngster which was held on stand and the move finished with a correct tail set held and carried well. Lovely rear that is good for angles and muscle tone and chest has good development for her age. Moved with enthusiasm and promise.

1ST 4816 - Tsoyu Wakamizu Go Anshee (Ms S & Miss Lm O'neill Clark & Pearson) Good proportions throughout with a lovely expression. Correct ears and skull with good proportions. Well filled cheeks and eyes set well in skull of good shape and size. Slightly narrow through the body and the croup could be stronger, but she possessed a good neck, shoulders that are well laid and stood on a clean front with good feet. Rear is well made with good muscle tone. Moved out positively to take the class.

2254. Japanese Akita Inu - Open Bitch

This was a fabulous class to judge. 

1ST 4804 - Ir Ch Seijitsu No Bishoujo Cw25 (Miss S Bennett). Super shape and outline and good for type throughout. Lovely feminine headpiece with dark eyes, good pigmentation and well-carried ears of good shape. Good width and depth through skull. Good length of neck leading into well-laid shoulders with correct topline, good length to loin and tail is set and carried well. Rear is muscled and angled well and this was demonstrated on the move as she had super drive and was balanced throughout. She had that extra spark in the final run round to clench BOB

2ND 4821 - Tsoyu Urakohime Go (Mrs M & Mr P & Mrs A Thompson & Chapman & Carter) This girl is another that will really push for top spots once she settles into her frame. A stunning headpiece which gave me everything I wanted all whilst staying feminine: super eye placement which is of good colour and size. Well filled cheeks and good proportions through skull. Super front with a good lay of shoulder and return of upper arm, super bone throughout and stood on good feet. Correct eat set which really finished off the expression. Super neck into a good Topline with a good tail set, could be carried a little stronger. Although out of coat what you see is what you get and I’m certain as this breed gains more CCs she will gain her crown with no problems. Sound rear quarters and a big mover, although she needed a little more time to settle and bring her front and rear action together.
