Many thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge Pyrenean Mountain Dogs with CCs for the 1st time at this show. It was up to the elected judges to choose to judge inside or out, as I was 2nd in the ring I elected to judge outside where we had a lovely breeze coming off the hills on this beautiful summer’s day. I had looked inside where the inside ring was and it was far to hot and stuffy. I was pleased with my entry and even more pleased with the sportsmanship shown to your placings and friendliness to me. A special thank you to Neil our steward for the day, who did a sterling job in a kind and humorous way. Thank you very much appreciated.

Puppy Dog (2,0), 1 Kennedy, Mrs. Tracy & Kennedy, Mrs. P.J., Gillandant Harvest Night at Pyrcot: A well grown 10mth old dog. He is a very pleasant looking dog. Clean well presented out-line and of a very nice type to go over and very settled on the move. Much to like about him. Pleased to award him not only BPD but BP in B. Congratulations.    

2 Holmes, Miss L., Lisjovia Pardon The Pun: A tad younger than 1st, and again very pleasing lad of good type and out-line. Not quite as much substance as 1st and still looser on the move. Should come on more, so nothing to worry about.

2 Carter, Miss S., Jumicar Don’t Stop Me Now: An 18mth old well grown dog. Of a pleasing type. He is a bit out of balance at the moment which reflected in his movement as he side-stepped. As he matures this may balance him up, improving his movement.

Open Dog (8,1), 1 Trinka Mr. Roland., Am. Ch. Rivergroves Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This (ATC BD38086 USA): A 4yr old who you not just notice, he shouts at you. Quality, you can not miss him. 1st of all he was presented in absolutely pristine condition, very much appreciated by myself. He is a well grown lad, very masculine and so well balanced. Good size head with a sweet expression, very clean. Correct short neck into a super front. Something this breed often gets wrong. His is fabulous which reflects in his movement. Deep chest, plenty of bone, strong back, short strong loin. Strong back end, excellent angles, no hint of weakness. With correct dew claws. Tail set and length excellent. I liked him a lot and to cap that he moved soundly, free and easy around the ring. I was more than pleased to award him the CC and later BOB. He later went on to take Pastoral Group 4, absolutely thrilled for you.

2 Jasper, Mrs. Nicola, Pafaxen Rewrite the Stars: A 3yr old, also vying for the top spot. He is a super type, out-line and balanced through-out. I really liked him, and felt for him as the dog threw it away in the final movement. Your day will come. I am sure.

3 Kenyon, Mrs. Christine & Ward, Mr. Arthur, Ch. Charibere Simply the Sequel At Kaianna JW: A 5yr old worthy champion. Just missing out. Lovely out-line and type. He is nicely balanced. Really mature, very nice, very substantial. Could easily be 1st on another day liked him a lot.

4 Reilly, Lady S., Bel. Ch. Mangrove Xiphos Spartan Swordsman at Darmaror, (Imp. Bel.) JW: A 2yr old pushing himself in this class at the moment. Just lacking the substance and maturity at this stage. After all he is a good-looking lad of excellent type and out-line. Good balance throughout and smooth on the move.

5 Pollard, Mrs. G. & Maggs, Mrs. K.M.E., Ch. Gillandant Thief Of Hearts at Dewyche, Shcex: A 6yr old worthy champion at the end of this super class. Feeling the heat. Just showing in his movement. Good out-line and type. Nice balance through-out.

Veteran Dog or Bitch (5,2), 1 Jones, Mr. D. & Jones, Mrs. S., Lisjovia A Sky Full of Stars (ATC AW00198103 GBR): A 7yr old, fully mature male at the height of his game. Shown in fine fettle and sympathetically handled. He is a super type and outline and well balanced. His coat was in excellent condition and groomed properly. What I really liked and enjoyed was how he out-performed the rest in movement earning himself not only BV but the well-deserved Res. Dog CC. Many Congratulations.

2 Newland, Mrs. Mary, Shanlimore Superstition: A 7.5yr old bitch. Absolutely beautiful, feminine head so full of expression. She has that sweet look you just cannot help falling in love with. She is a nice type and out-line. Just a bit sluggish on the move. The hot weather not helping. Still lovely though.

3 Newland, Mrs. Mary, Shanlimore Baby Love: Litter sister to above. Plenty of her, and not quite as appealing in the head. And like her sister a little sluggish on the move.

Special Beginners (1,0), 1 Cave, Mrs. Anne, Lisjovia Crowning Glory at Casiann: This 11mth old young lady stood alone in this class. She is well grown for her age and is of a very pleasing type and out-line. Nicely balanced for her age. Moved easily and soundly around the ring. Pleased to award her Special Beginners. Well done, well deserved.

Puppy Bitch (3,1), 1 Mrs G. Pollard, (Handling for Pollard Mrs. G., Gillandant Just Exquisit: A 10mth old bitch. Well grown for age. Plenty of substance, nice out-line and type. But still managing to keep her femininity. Moved ok about the ring. Lots to like about her.

2 Cave, Mrs. Anne, Lisjovia Crowning Glory at Casiann: As Before.

Junior Bitch (2,1), 1 Baverstock, Mrs. Yvonne & Baverstock, Mr. Ian, Kalkasi The Eternal Quest JW: A 15mth old bitch stood alone in this class. Very nice feminine bitch of excellent type and out-line. Well balanced for her age. What I particularly liked about this young lady was her fore and aft movement. Very steady and straight. Well done. Good job very nice indeed.

Post Graduate Bitch (3,2), 1 Carter, Mr. Mike Roy & Carter, Mrs. Julie, Jumicar She’s A Killer Queen: A 19mth old bitch well grown for her age. Very pleasant young lady of good type and out-line. Plenty of her, and still looking very feminine, nicely balanced, and moved about the ring easily and confidently. Very neat, well done.

2 Newland, Mrs. Mary, Shanlimore Baby Love: As Before.

Limit Bitch (4,1), 1 Tadd, Mrs. S.A., Chia Apaltasunez Avev Kricarno (Imp. Czech Republic): A well grown 21mth old young lady. Plenty of her for age. Maturing up nicely. She is a neat girl of good out-line and type. Well balanced for her age. She is a very feminine young lady. Moved out freely with plenty of drive around the ring. Lots to like about her. Well done, liked her.

2 Newland, Mrs. Mary, Shanlimore Superstition: As before.

3 Baverstock, Mrs. Yvonne & Baverstock, Mr. Ian, Kalkasi As If By Magic JW: A 22mth old young lady. Nice out-line. Nice type. Moved ok. Not quite as balanced as above. 

Open Bitch (6,1), 1 Church, Miss Claire & Bamford, Mr. Richard, Ch. Pafaxen A Million Dreams JW: A 3yr old just beginning to reach her top form. She is beautifully balanced for age, of excellent type and out-line. So feminine as well. Presented in tip top condition. Lovely feminine head. Correct short neck, neat front which is so hard to keep with a short neck. Deep brisket. Strong back, short strong loin with a good waist. Neat strong back end. Good tail, one of the only ones with a correct tail. Very much impressed. Very nice young lady. Moved about the ring with ease. Driving from the rear covering the ground with ease. Pleased to award her the BCC and Res. BOB. Congratulations.

2 Wilcock, Mrs. Jacynth & Wilcock, Mr. Adam Shaun, Ch. Penellcy She’s Like The Wind: Worthy 7yr old Champion, who pushed above hard for the top spot. Good on you. You made a good fight and fully appreciated your lady. She is a fabulous type and out-line and on another day could easily be in-front. So, I was pleased to award her the RBCC. Well done. She is a credit to you.

3 Pollard, Mrs. G., Ch. Gillandant Simply The Best: Well, you certainly got the right name. This 6yr old lady is another cracking bitch. First 3 could easily swap. Absolutely loved this line up. Excellent type, out-line and balance. Moving soundly around the ring. Could easily been you up front. So super. Well done and thank you for bringing her.

4 Kenyon, Mrs. Christine & Ward, Mr. Arthur, Charibere Reason To Dream at Kaianna JW: A 3yr old lady, well presented girl of a nice type and out-line. Just up against it today. Just needs to mature a bit more.

5 Harris, Mrs. Susan R., Febus Hardknott: 5yr old girl of pleasing type and out-line. Just a little out of her depth in this class. But thanks for bringing her.
