PUPPY DOG OR BITCH (4)

1ST Miss M Swinge’s Balthazar Centrefold, Red Rough, very promising eye catching puppy with attractive head and round eye. Coat of correct texture and already plenty of furnishings. She is up to size but a lovely square shape with a good topline and strong neck. Good width in front and some depth to body. Correct lay of shoulder that balanced at rear. On the move she had all the reach and drive with pick me attitude.

2nd Miss R E Green’s Newtonians’ One Who Waited, B/T Rough with attractive rounded head of good size on his neat square body. Not quite as good in front as my 1st but a lovely profile with correct topline and tail. Good angles at shoulder and bend of stifle. Harsh coat and good beard.

3rd Mrs Y J Donnellan’s Tsarvonn Party On

Res Mrs M L Hughes’ Beauborne Xinca

JUNIOR DOG OR BITCH (3)

1ST Mrs T A Hershaw’s What’s On at Tremaloy, B/T Rough, won the class as the smaller neat square package. Great head with definite monkey-like expression. Level topline, well sprung rib, balanced for angles front and rear. High set tail carried over back with gentle curve on the move. Plenty of drive on the move. Front pasterns a little weak standing.

2nd and Best Puppy in Breed, Mrs M L Hughes’ Beauborne Yogi, Red Smooth boy with a lovely head of good size and width. Short muzzle with prominent chin with good turn up and wide open nostrils, dark eyes and rims. Nice square shape with level topline, medium length neck, well sprung ribs. He took more than this class to fully settle on the move and just got better. Very attentive to his handler.

LIMIT DOG (2)

1ST & Reserve Best Dog, Mrs Y J Donnellan & Mrs K Roberts’ Pierre Cardin Bargest Vonici, mature 3 year old with a wealth of furnishings framing his handsome wide rounded head. With his high set ears and alert expression he was hard to see past. His correct shoulders and hindquarters with plenty of muscle powered him round the ring.

2nd Mrs M L Hughes; Beauborne Redvalentino, fairly large, masculine head with rather large dark eyes giving a slightly wild expression. Short muzzle and well defined stop, lovely big open nostrils. Cobby, square body with good topline and short over loin. Good angles at shoulder and rear. Slightly weak in front pasterns but moved soundly.

OPEN DOG (3)

1ST, Best Dog and Best of Breed, Miss M Swinge & Miss F Price’s Ch. Marquant Remember Me JW. So much to like in this young rough. A great outline, cobby and square with a larger head in comparison to his body. Definite stop and short, wide muzzle with good turn up with plenty of beard. His dark eyes were full of mischief. Good neck and shoulders leading to level topline, well sprung ribs and short over loin. Tail set high and carried with gentle curve over back. He moved true both coming and going.

2nd Mrs M L Hughes’ Bruneaver Space Oddity from Beauborne, Red, Smooth boy with a striking outline in gleaming condition. Well balanced head with good upturn to chin and very dark, expressive eyes. He has a lovely arch to his neck, well laid shoulders and good topline. Tail high set and curved gently over back as he moved out well with drive.

3rd Mrs Y J Donnellan & Mrs K Roberts’ Ch. Kinder Surprise Rimarosa Vonici (Imp Pl)

POST GRADUATE BITCH (1)

1st Miss M Swinge’s Balthazar There She Goes, a baby at 8 months for this class and in quality harsh coat with depth to red colour. Sufficient head with dark round eyes and keen expression. Ears a little on the larger size and quite mobile, taking everything in. Adequate neck with good topline, short in back, giving nice square shape. Good angles at shoulders and rear providing positive movement. Hope that she has finished growing.

LIMIT BITCH (4)

1st, and Best Bitch, Miss R E Green’s Beauborne Stefani Topmead, b/t Rough – loved the cobby, compact square shape of this girl with her level topline. Delightful head that appeared large in proportion to body with short muzzle, good up turn and well developed nostrils. Round, dark eyes and alert to her handler. A little upright in shoulder which balanced at rear and then she powered around the ring.

2nd and Reserve Best Bitch, Mrs Y J Donnellan & Mrs K Roberts, Vonici Vanity, attractive headed bitch with a wide muzzle and good up turn. Darkest of eyes with mischievous expression. Correct front assembly, a little longer over loin and topline softer than 1. She had a little more neck and was a really stylish mover.

3rd Miss M Swinge’s Balthazar Shake It Off

Res Mrs Y J Donnellan’s Vonici Vara Dellrey

OPEN BITCH (2)

1ST Mrs M L Hughes’ Ch. Beauborne Pussycat Doll, red Smooth of ideal size and all in correct proportions. Attractive head that had some width and good upturn. Dark eyes and cheeky expression. A lovely wide front with depth and good spring of rib. Medium neck, good topline, would have preferred a little more muscle in her hindquarters. Moved soundly

2nd Mrs Y J Donnellan’s Griselda Too Much Love Vonici (Imp Sk), Rough with coat of softer texture than desirable. Attractive wide head with darkest of eyes. Good width to chest and depth with well sprung ribs. Level topline when she settled. Tail set a little low and not always carried up which spoils the outline on the move. I think she was just not enjoying the heat.
