I would like to thank the Lancashire Heeler Association Committee very much for their kind invitation to judge their Championship Show which was held in partnership with Boston Championship Show. I was very pleased with my entry and the condition and presentation of all my exhibits was exemplary as was the temperament of the dogs themselves.

VD 3(0)

1. Grant-Parkes’ Parabar Popgun. Took the class on his excellent shoulder and angulation, overall condition and ground covering gait, masculine head and expression, correct bone, good feet and sound on the move, BVD & RBVIS.

2. Lawrence’s Hoscar Ellis’s Eddie ShCEx. Balanced fore and aft, well proportioned head, strong top-line, not quite the ground covering gait of 1.

3. Lawrence’s Brinscall Moors Bertie.

PD 3(0)

Difficult class with 3 very nice puppies, all with juvenile issues which they will grow through in due course.

1. Todd-Gul’s Sapwood Perfec’ Soldier. Out moved the class, good head and expression, nice coat and condition and a good prospect, BPD & BPIS.

2. Musk/Bingham’s Parabar Pumpkin Pie. Lovely head and expression, well angulated but on the free stand tended to turn his back rear foot well out which spoilt his overall appearance.

3. Grant-Parkes’ Parabar Popgun’s Podolkhi.

JD 3(0)

1. Hughes’ Ribblespride Kruger JW. Very nice junior, relatively compact in structure but excellent angulation, strong top-line, charming head and expression, absolutely sound on the move.

2. Jones’ Mea Miracles Beorn Ragnar of Barleydust (imp FIN). Another very nice male, good head properties, nice coat and condition, parallel when viewed from behind but tended to toe in significantly on the day.

3. Timmins’ Fragarialea Elsanta.

YD 3(0)

1. Musk/Bingham’s Kavalo Tougher Than The Rest. Good head and expression, balanced angulation, strong top-line, good bone, nice coat and condition, sound on the move.

2. Bailey/Hancocks’ Parabar Pistachio. Another nice youngster, good shoulder, correct top-line, good croup, tail set and carriage, a nice example of the breed.

3. Jones’ Meadows Miracles Beorn Ragnar of Barleydust (imp FIN).

LD 2(0)

1. Musk/Bingham’s Lankeela Our Marnie. I just preferred the front of 1 on the day, compact, balanced angulation, moved to advantage when settled which won him the class, RDCC.

2. Webb’s Foveaux Magic Dance JW. I would prefer a little more shoulder angulation to complement his rear, strong top-line, lovely head, well handled and presented.

OD 3(0)

1. Grant-Parkes’ Parabar Posy’s Pawnee JW. Very nice 2 year old male, lovely head and expression, shown in excellent coat and condition, good croup, trail set and carriage, good prospect moving forward, DCC/RBIS & BOS.

2. Musk/Bingham’s Parabar Puzzling Pilot. Male with a typical head and expression, high set ears, good bone, a little long in the loin for me but that apart a very nice example of the breed.

3. Hughes’ Poolheywood Barney JW.

SpBD 1(0)

1. Todd-Gul’s Spawood Perfec’ Soldier. Repeat.

VB 3(1)

Two very nice bitches, both a credit to the breed.

1. Felstead’s Ch. Selestar Salix Lutea with Foveaux. 7 year old bitch, nice head, good reach of neck, excellent shoulder and good turn of stifle, absolutely sound on the move, RBCC/BVB/BV & BVIS.

2. Grant-Parkes’ Parabar Paxton’s Posy. 10 years old with charming head, good shoulder, strong top-line and a good ground covering gait.

PB 2(1)

1. Jones’ Barleydust Dare to Dream. Nice 7 month old bitch, correct head, well set ears, nice shoulder, good top-line, tail set and carriage, moved well in profile but untidy on the out and back when viewed from behind.

JB 1(0)

1. Felstead’s Oreiphos Ease My Heart at Foveaux. Lovely junior bitch, balanced angulation, strong top-line, everything in moderation without exaggeration and absolutely sound on the move.

YB 1(0)

1. Felstead’s Oreiphos Ease My Heart at Foveaux. Repeat.

2. Budd’s Kavalo Glory Days. Somewhat hesitant youngster but well balanced, nice feminine head and expression and a quick parallel ground covering gait.

3. Grant-Parkes’ Parabar Pelatory’s Pichu.

PGB 3(0)

1. Grant-Parkes’ Piper’s Remembrance Day with Parabar. Well settled and very attractive bitch shown in excellent coat and condition and possessing balanced angulation, sound parallel movement.

2. Budd’s Kavalo Dancing in The Dark. Balanced throughout, just not quite the angulation of 1, particularly in the stifle.

3. Webb’s Hoscar Isabella.

LB 7(1)

1. Bellinger’s Foveaux Jean Genie at Heelstone JW. Nice bitch with balance throughout and everything in moderation, also sound on the move, shown in good coat and condition.

2. Grant-Parkes’ Piper’s Remembrance Day with Parabar. Repeat.

3. Lawrence’s Foveaux China Girl JW.

OB 2(0)

1. Budd’s Tudorbrook Hocus Pocus. 5 years old, shown in full coat and good condition, balanced fore and aft, good tail set and carriage, covered good ground on the move.

2. Grant-Parkes’ Parabar Paxton’s Posy. Repeat.

ChB 4(2)

1. Felstead’s Ch. Foveaux Queens Gambit JW. A dog I have had the pleasure of judging in the past when she was a puppy, super head and expression, strong top-line, balanced throughout, perfectly handled and presented, a lovely example of the breed, BCC, BOB & BIS.

SpBB 2(1)

1. Budd’s Tudorbrook Hocus Pocus. Repeat.
