I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for the invitation to judge at this well-run show. I would also like to thank my two stewards who kept things running smoothly. I was delighted with my entry of 43 making 47 entries. My only concern today was the temperaments were not as good as the last time I judged this lovely breed. My appreciation must go to the exhibitors, allowing me to judge their lovely dogs.

Class SBD (1 Entry) 

1st: Carter & Chadburn – Newtonwood Rock With Me 

Red and White, 21 months old, he is of a lovely type, today he was a little apprehensive on being examined on the table, he moved soundly and for me was slightly up to size, presented in lovely condition. Stood alone but was a worthy winner. Best Special Beginners Dog & Best Special Beginners In Breed. 

Class PD (1 Entry) 

1st: Brooks – Thistlesweet Eldorado (TAF) 

Black and white, 7 months old, very typey in body shape, and size, in good coat of correct texture. Good front and moderate angulated, moved soundly with springy action showed with lots of confidence, masculine head, still needs to finish but very promising with dark, large, almond shaped eyes and well set on ears, neck of correct length going into well laid shoulders, straight front, good ribs and tuck up, very promising puppy, presented in lovely condition. Best Dog Puppy.

1st: Cheshire – Be Cooper Novi From Hearmean 

Gold, 2 years and 7 months old, caught my eye on entering the ring, liked the head proportions on this dog, good scissors bite mouth, clean well laid shoulders, good bone and feet, nice topline and tail carriage, stylish on the move where he scored over the others, best mover in the class, just slightly out of coat today, which allowed his kennel mate to beat him in the challenge, presented in super condition. 

2nd: Reads – Heronsbridge Energumene  

Black, 3 ½ months old, one I have judged before as a junior, good shape and size, very typey in head, pleasing large, dark eyes, almond shaped with nice expression, sadly today was not in full coat but was of a pleasing silky texture, moved soundly and went around stylishly. 

Class OD (7 Entries) Abs: 1 

1st: Cheshire – Dalton Hera From Hearmean  

Sable, 1 years and 8 Months old, this dog grew on me as the class went on, lots to like excellent quality dog and breed type, he has an excellent temperament, very pleasing masculine head shape and lovely proportions, jaws strong with scissor bite mouth, well shaped head and medium neck, almond shaped, dark, large eyes, correct front and feet, good bone and substance, good depth of chest, well set shoulders and rear angulation, moved soundly with springy action, lovely for type and size displaying all the breed characteristics, moderate reach of neck and correct topline, shown in immaculate condition. This one kept demanding my attention throughout this very strong class. I was thrilled to award him the CC and Best Opposite Sex.

2nd: Murray & Scheiris – That’s Rule 39 At Rathcloon (IMP USA) 

Black and white, 18 months old, another quality smart dog, correct shaped head, correct ear carriage, good neck and well-placed shoulders, his lively elastic gait, well developed fore chest, moved well and a lovely showman, the coat soft and silky texture, presented in lovely condition, just not as mature in body as the winner.

3rd: Fitgerald – CH Cubadias I’m So Stunning At Beaugem JW 

Class VD (2 enties) 

1st: Woolcock – Kenquince Big Guns Alphapups VW 

Cream Sable, 11 years old, Quality male of lovely type, who still scores well on movement, his head is well proportioned, large, dark almond shaped eyes, has masculine soft expression, correct scissors bite mouth, pushed the CC hard, he just loved showing and still looked the business, I thought him an absolute credit to the breed, correct silky textured coat and was presented in excellent condition. Reserve Dog CC, Best Veteran Dog & Best Veteran In Breed. 

2nd: Gunn – CH Janabear Dance O’ The Knights 

Cream & White, 8 years old, another quality exhibit, he is also very typical, shown in excellent body and condition, lovely balanced head, correct scissor bite mouth, still has a balanced outline, correct length of leg, good topline with correct rise over the loin and well set tail, carried over the back, just not moving as well as the winner today. Presented in excellent condition. 

Class PB (2 Entries) 

1st: Day – Immeleon Royal Dress In Cubadias 

Black & White, 8 months old, here was a star in the making, quality elegant very feminine head, moderate stop with a very nice eyes and expression, loved her size, build, shape and general type, she possesses femininity and elegance, she is developing a good body shape, good hind angulation, showed and moved well and lovely coat of correct texture, presented in excellent condition. Best Bitch Puppy & Best Puppy In Breed. 

2nd: Miles – Adorele Love Actually 

Gold & White, 11 months old, slightly more mature, she has a good shape to skull, another nice elegant balanced bitch, feminine head with correct bite, large dark almond eyes, but not as settled when moving or standing as the winner, presented in lovely condition.

Class JB (6 Entries) Abs: 1 

1st: Carty-Parge & Parge – Bailemos Miss Curvaceous (IKC) 

Sable, just turned 12 months old, lovely sized girl, pretty and ultra feminine, possesses the sweetest headpiece, with really dark, large expressive eyes, good coat of excellent texture, hard to fault with this elegant well balanced and proportioned youngster, who shows herself to best advantage, moved soundly and with lots of style and presented in pristine condition. Reserve Bitch CC. 

2nd: Tarff – Newpark Masquerade At Havredemer JW  

Tricolour, 15 months old, another nice elegant balanced bitch, feminine head with correct bite, large dark almond eyes, lovely type, but not as settled as my winner or the temperament, needs to gain more confidence, presented in lovely condition. 

3rd: George – Havacwtch Cappawccino Mel  

Class PGB (6 Entries) Abs: 1 

1st: Woolcock – Alphapups Bambino 

Cream Sable, 3 years old, lovely feminine head, a superbly constructed girl with an excellent topline, lovely outgoing girl that enjoys the ring, coat of excellent texture and presented in lovely condition. I see she is the daughter of my Reserve Dog CC winner. 

2nd: Fitzgerald – Adorele Put A Spell On You At Beaugem JW 

Red & White, 2 years old, another elegant balanced bitch, super temperament, moved soundly, but giving her handler a difficult time, was naughty and wanted to play up. Presented in lovely condition. 

3rd: Copper – Elperrito Bright Light 

Class LB (3 Entries)

1st: Day – Immeleon Peppermint Latte In Cubadias JW 

Cream, almost 2 years old, lovely expressive feminine beautiful head with dark large almond shaped eyes, good pigmentation and good ear set, nicely built with good shoulder placement, straight front, well laid shoulders and well sprung ribs. High tailset and correct parallel movement, soft coat and silky textured with just right amount and presented in pristine condition.

2nd: Walker – Trufflemai Star Of Sonny At Newtonwood  

Cream, 2 years old, correct shape and size with good firm body, well laid shoulders and straight front, pleasing head and expression, well placed ears, I liked her a lot and was presented in lovely condition. Moved soundly with lots of style. 

3rd: Young – Newpark Alice In Wonderland  

Class OB (6 Entries) Abs: 3 

1st: McCallum-Sealy – CH Pandaprint Full Of Mischief  

Red Sable and white, 2 years old, excellent ultra feminine girl. Beautiful head with dark large almond shaped eyes, correct scissor bite mouth, excellent body shape, she shows with such style and keeps demanding my attention, but this clever handler shows her to advantage, lovely front assembly and well angulated rear, great topline with slight rise over loin, both standing and moving, presented in excellent condition. I was thrilled to award her the CC and Best Of Breed. Delighted to see her short listed in the Toy Group. 

2nd: Young – Newpark’s Crème De La Crème JW   

Cream and white, 4 years old, another feminine girl of nice quality, she showed and moved so soundly never putting a foot wrong, lots to like about her, lovely feminine head with correct dark, large almond eyes, good medium length neck, well-made body, lovely rear action on the move. Presented in super condition

3rd: Dence – Mypons Waltzing Matilda  

Class VB (3 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: Smith – Tiggafield Ebony Eyes  

Black & White, 7 years old, very feminine bitch of lovely size, good scissor bite mouth, lovely expression, super front, well bodied, excellent tailset, outstanding temperament on the move and still enjoying moving around the ring so soundly, keeping her beautiful outline. Presented in lovely condition, her lovely movement won her this class & Best Veteran Bitch.

2nd: Gunn – Dianaia’s Beatiful Day  

Gold Sable, almost 9 years old, very nice proportions, feminine head and nice dark eyes, giving a lovely expression, pleasing in body shape, moved ok not as positive or stylish as the winner, shown in good condition.
