Boxer Critique Sue Burnett

Thank you to all concerned, especially my two stewards. Although a wet day we had a good sized ring that was bright, the carpet was slippery on the corners which affected some movement, although a lack of hind angulation in some, detracted from rear drive. 

I was delighted my BOB was shortlisted in the large group, my BPIB went WPG4 and my BV was awarded WVG3

MPD 2 

1st Spencer’s Asronsha Mr Lover Lover

Dark B&W of 8.5 mths, a tall rangy young male, attractive head, kind dark expressive eye, large nose & open nostrils, evident chest, good flow of neck to level topline, as his muscle develops, his rear angles will hopefully develop further. 

2nd Pynegars Berwynfa Pole Position

B&W of 7 mths, it was very difficult to assess his movement correctly due to the slippery floor. 

A super smart youngster with everything in place when stacked. Lovely head with a deep expression, excellent mouth, arched neck into a short, even topline, front and rear angles spot on, low hocks all held on tight feet.

1st Brown & Hutchings Winuwuk A’int no Sunshine

R&W of 9.5mths, this tall young lad has a super wide mouth, evident chin and open nostrils, good rise of skull with soft large ears, clean flews, beauty of a neck, which flows straight through to spot on tailset, evident hip, low hocks with good turn of stifle, propelling his drive, covering the ground easily, tidy underline. BPD

2nd Saafans Geovanic Boxa Punch

Dark B&W of 9mths, super head with dark expressive eyes, broad muzzle which balanced well with skull.Shorter and cobbier than 1st would prefer better hind angulation to improve propulsion, lovely bone stood on tight feet.

B&W of 14mths, super balanced head, broad, deep, well padded muzzle, with evident mask, super mouth and lip placement, very stylish mover due to balance between front and back, with ample muscle covering the strong bone, shown to full attributes, last 4 for CC

2nd Brooks & Tooby Jimi Hendrix At Jinnybrux

R&W of 13mths, good size lad still maturing, nice rise of skull & wide muzzle with superb mouth and well padded lips, dark expressive eyes, head flows into a good length of neck, nape flowing into topline, good rear angles, low hocks.

1st Robinsons Legend of Thor at Robinsteck JW

B&W of 22mths, nicely marked with overall balance, style and a good sized male. Clean skull with large open nostrils, slightly larger eye would benefit expression, well covered bone on a well proportioned body which carried him around the ring effortlessly, last 4 for CC

2nd Payne Willow Eye of the Tiger

Deer Red & White of 18mths, nicely put together lad, still raw in muscle tone which will strengthen hind in time, super clean head with fabulous mouth, flowing long neck to nape, into even short topline & excellent tail set, evident forechest with plenty of heart room.

B&W of 22mths a more elegant male, well balanced from tip to toe, pretty head with a lively expression, super shaped eyes, wide mouth, ears set high, rounded clean neck, deep chest and a tidy tuck up, level through topline and neat feet.

1st Law & Pynegars Shellark Spence is Dynamite with Berwynfa

B&W of 3 yrs super stocky male with spot on outline, short back moving out with complete balance, excellent bone on neat feet, tight mouth in a well balanced muzzle, head without any exaggeration.

2nd Hoskings Remalfus Mullion Moonshine at Kaosmaka

Solid brindle of 2.5yrs, his characteristics shone through, allowing his handler to guide & train her 4 year old son in the ring alongside. I’ve always admired this dogs nose & very open nares, very clean head with a lighter colour eye,a longer muzzle with less width and padding than most, tidy in outline when stacked.

B&W of 2 yrs love the attitude from the dogs in this kennel, totally fearless but kind, strength and purpose on the move, very expressive eyes in a clean head, with wide even mouth, lovely neck flowing into smooth topline and balanced front and back, last 4 for CC

2nd Mairs Glenauld The Chase

R&W of 2.5 yrs super balanced outline, lovely head with wide well padded muzzle, strong chest deep ribs, short level topline, well let down hocks preferred ground covering movement on 1st

B&W of 2yrs good sized elegant male with style, bone & balance throughout his body, deep well filled chest, spring of rib, flowing into tidy tuck up, clean head with a wide even bite, smooth long neck giving room for shoulders to move freely, even topline with excellent hind angles, delighted to award him CC, BOB & shortlisted in group

2nd McCarthy & Gethings Ch Boxania Romanoff to Jeddhi

B&W of 4yrs my best puppy dog some years ago & a delight to see him as a Ch today, the kindest, softest temperament, stockier and shorter in height to 1st but full of style and excellence, clean head with deep soulfelt eyes, neat tidy outline, short back and superb angles, moved steadily RCC

B&W nearly 9 yrs, this one bought a tear to my eye from going over him as puppy, through mid adult & now a graceful veteran with a dusting of grey on his well set head, super sharp elegant outline, no excess weight, stood on tight feet, moved out well but stiffer hind movement when challenging with Veteran bitch BVD

Super smart young girl, so well put together, pretty head and excellent mouth, wonderful disposition, showing her character & charm, arched neck flows into topline & tailset spot on, laid back shoulder with good forechest, tucked in elbows, tight feet and good hind angulation, she moved extremely well with confidence & didn’t put foot wrong. BPB BPIB & delighted with her WPG4 

2nd Van-Beck & Taylor’s A’diddle Respect for Newlaithe

B&W of 6.5 mths very raw youngster, finer in bone than 1st, she has a super overall outline with correct angles front and back, nice shoulder placement with slight sloping topline, lighter throughout head but still very young.

R&W of 9 mths, pretty, elegant girl with good height and unexaggerated angles, lovely head without too much wrinkle, dark soulful eyes giving beautiful expression, large soft well set ears, smart topline moved soundly.

B&W of 11mth longer cast youngster, full of confidence, substance & panache, excellent forechest, plenty of heart room, well placed shoulders with enough rear angulation, tight feet on sturdy, slightly sloping pasterns, clean head with wide muzzle & bite, head flowing into crested neck & even topline.

B&W of 2 yrs another girl full of substance but elegant, super outline, not quite layback of shoulder as 1st and shorter striding, pretty head well set ears and delightful expression.

2nd Fay-Smiths Lorroza My Type on Paper

Dark B&W of 2yrs quality young girl with excellent forechest and front angulation, little more hind angulation would improve drive, heavier in head than 1, crested neck flowed into level topline low hocks and tidy elbows.

Light B&W of 3yrs lighter bone & substance than 1st, pleasing when stacked with even front & rear angles, sloping pasterns, with a sharp tuck up, not quite as level topline on the move.

2nd Kuechs Boese Jiggery Pokery 

B&W of 7.5 yrs lovely headed with the width of muzzle,super mouth and kind expression, stockier in stamp than 1st but moved out well with drive & balance, lovely tight feet, she was in excellent condition.
