Thanks to the Committee for my invitation to judge at one of my favourite shows. Thank you also to all the exhibitors for giving me the enjoyable task of going over their dogs. Due to being second in the ring and a later start than expected and the Gundog Group being earlier than anticipated, BOBs were called prior to the finish of judging. This resulted in my rushing the end of judging and I apologise to those affected. 

 Veteran Dog 3 (1 abs) Two lovely gentlemen 1.  Gilham and Ritchie’s Sh Ch Slapestones Diamond Mine JW. 8 years old. Handsome masculine head with gentle expression. Correct length of neck flowing into sloping shoulders. Well boned. Deep brisket with spring of rib. Correct top line. Rounded hindquarters with wide second thigh and moderate bend of stifle. Tight feet. CC   2. Yacoub’s Laithmoor’s Red Grenadine JW. 8 years old. Attractive head masculine head with kind expression and dark eye. Strong neck. Good layback of shoulder. Substantial bone. Deep body with spring of rib. Longer cast than 1. Strong hindquarters.   Minor Puppy Dog 3   1.  Dawson’s Glenbrows Motion Picture At Graefyn. Compact puppy with layback of shoulders. Short coupled. Good depth of body. Typical head for age. Lots to like about him. Moved OK but not quite covering the ground at present BPD   2.  Lewis’ Don’s Constant Gardner Von Trannon (Imp Swe). Lacked the angulation of 1. Good depth of body but a little long at present. Good bone. Lovely head with kind expression 3. I’ll Goch Van Raamvliet (Imp Nld). Puppy Dog 1 (1 abs)  Junior Dog 2    1. Anderson’s Westaway Return Call To Kazval (Imp Nor). Immature as waiting to grow into his frame. Liked his height to body ratio. Attractive dark eye. Great layback of shoulder and upper arm. Prominent forechest. Lovely depth of body. Happy boy  2. Bonsor-Hadfield’s Hellenic Stratos. Shorter on leg than 1. Attractive masculine head with dark eye. Needs to tighten in loin. Substantial bone. Rounded hindquarters.   Post Graduate Dog 6 1. Bennion’s Menstonia Endless Dreams. Beautifully presented. Pleasing outline. Head still maturing and eyes to darken. Good shoulders with length of upper arm. Firm rounded hindquarters. Moved best in the class covering the ground  2.  Burchmore, Smith and Bowd’s Lenamore Renegade (AI). 2 year old dog still maturing. Beautiful head with appealing expression with dark eyes. Longer cast than 1 but with well laid shoulders and forechest. Deep second thigh. Rounded strong hindquarters. 3. Gaylor’s Gilstonia Red Rum For Aprilflash  4. Bennett’s Gilstonia Wreck It Riley For Flyboron  5. Wallingtons’ Ferndel Renzo At Rovinjdal.  Limit Dog 6   1. Stones’ Kideneon Mark Time To Merren JW. Lovely Welsh with gorgeous head and eye. Long neck flowing into good layback of shoulder and correct bend of stifle. Well boned. Beautiful shape and correct topline. Deep brisket and spring of ribs with short coupling. Powerful hindquarters with deep second thighs and short hocks. Covered the ground on the move. RCC 2. Jackson, Ritchie and Jackson’s Slapestones Diminico. A lovely two year old boy with much to like about him. Not the maturity of 1. Attractive masculine head. Correct layback of shoulder. Rounded hindquarters. Good bone throughout. Deep body and short coupling. 3. Knowles’ Menstonia Endurance JW 4. Johnstones’ Glenbrows Erasmus For Gilpeta 5. Wallingtons’ Ferndel Renzo At Rovinjdal. Open Dog 3 (2 abs) 1. Johnstones’ Glenbrows Erasmus For Gilpeta. Reserve in previous class. Different make and shape. Good length of neck, attractive balanced head with expressive eyes Good layback of shoulder with fair upper arm. Appropriate depth of body with ample rib age.

Veteran Bitch 5 (1 abs) 1. Chandler’s Chanangel Yorkshire Rose. Beautifully shaped understated bitch full of quality and curves. Gorgeous feminine head with melting dark eyes. Good layback of shoulder with correct length of upper arm missing in many exhibits. Long neck flowing into correct topline. Moderate bend of stifle with wide second thigh, hocks well let down, good depth of chest and strong body with spring of ribs. Tight feet. Correct amount of bone. Moved well covering the ground and driving from the rear. Just so much to like about her. CC BOB BV Veteran Group 3 and winner of Veteran Stakes.  2. Grahams’ Aindrea Harleyquinn. Another lovely veteran. Eight years old. Good length of neck, fair layback of shoulders with length of upper arm. Deep brisket with well sprung ribs. Correct  bend of stifle with wide second thigh. Good feet. A lot to like about her. Attractive head and soft expression. Happy temperament. 3. Knox and Mole’s Zara Florence Our Loyal Welsh At Edincraw (Imp Nld) 4. Dyers’ Benton Small Talk Among Tylwyth (Imp Fin) VW.   Minor Puppy Bitch 3 1. Williams’ Glenbrows Picture Of Me. Promising six month old puppy. Good depth of body and mature for age. Lovely outline. Well boned with good feet. Good layback of shoulders and length of upper arm. Rounded hindquarters. No doubt a bright future. 2. Millards’ Rubylea Holland And Holland. Very raw 7 month old puppy at the leggy stage. Fetching pretty head with kind expression. Good length of neck and shoulders laid back.  Happy temperment enjoying her day out. 3. Green’s Trenzalore Wave Of Hope.  Puppy Bitch 2  1. Chandler’s Chanangel Kiss Cam. 10 month old feminine puppy. Lovely make and shape. Pretty head of correct proportions. Dark eyes. Long neck. Great layback of shoulders and return of upper arm. Moderate bend of stifle, short coupled. Moved well for age. Pleased to award her BP.   2. Withers, McDonald, Mcdonald and McDonald’s Kenaspire Fairy Dust. 9 months. Not as mature as winner and longer cast. Moved well covering the ground. Pleasing head with dark eye. Junior Bitch 1 1.  Dyers’ Islanza She’s A Peach Among Tylwyth. Stood alone but lots to like about her. Moved well covering the ground. Correct front coming towards me. Great shoulders. Good length of neck. Moderate bend of stifle. Needs time Post Graduate Bitch 4  1. Grahams’ Slapestones Catoca. Beautiful bitch who caught my eye. Short coupled. Pretty head and kind expression with dark eye. Good bone. Long neck and good layback of shoulder and correct length of upper arm. Moderate bend of stifle. Well set on tail. Moved well. One to watch for the future. 2. Cooper and Mullin’s Gilstonia Maggie May. Attractive head with expressive eyes. Needs time to mature and tighten in the loin. Would prefer slightly longer in the leg. Rounded hindquarters with fair bend of stifle 3. Knowles’ Menstonia Endless Mist JW 4. Lemin’s Highslade Million Reasons For Bonvis.  Limit Bitch 9 (1 abs)  1. Gibson’s Ferndel Rossana At Cadehill. Correct size and proportion. Appealing head and dark eye. Well laid shoulders and fair return of upper arm. Good bend of stifle. Deep body and well sprung ribs. Moved best in class. 2. Ritchies’ Slapestones Finsch JW. Very well presented bitch with lovely outline Good head proportions. Chest deep with spring of rib. Moderate bend of stifle. 3. Worth’s Sarabande Spirit In The Skye JW 4. Yacoub’s Laithmoor’s Felka 5. Tew’s Pamicks Dream With Me.   Open Bitch 5 1. Millards’ Sh Ch Ferndel Water Lily At Rubylea (AI). Attractive quality bitch with correct bone. Good head proportions with lovely expression and dark eye. Long neck set into well angulated shoulders and correct length of upper arm producing a forechest. Deep body with spring of rib. Held topline on the move. Correct bend of stifle RCC.  2. Lewin’s Sh Ch Santalina Olympic Flame JW. Pretty bitch with beautiful expression.  Well laid shoulders and prominent forechest. Spring of rib with deep body. Correct topline with rounded hindquarters. Disappointingly she did not look her best today as she looked a little heavy over the shoulders. 3. Graham’s Sh Ch Nyliram Telling Tales JW Shcex Osw 4.
