1. Cartwright’s Mopseyscoton Ickle Pickle at Applejem. 17 mth old who shows much promise and he was very good hands on. I wouldn’t want him any bigger but perhaps his coat right now adds to that impression. Slightly arched neck, correct topline for the breed, ribcage extends well back but ribbing still to fully develop, short loin and tail pleased for both set and carriage. He has a lovely head which is well proportioned, skull is slightly rounded as it should be, eyes are dark and placed well apart, bite is correct and pigmentation excellent. On the move he was accurate coming and going and stride was moderate on the go around. Evidence of some shading in coat but overall impression is of a white coat.

1. Hancock’s Coton Karma’s Shoot Me Down Bear at Cindaires JW (Imp Dnk). 19 mth old who has lots to like and he appealed for overall type, size and outline. Moderate length of neck which is slightly arched, characteristic topline, ribbing carried well back, short loin and tail correct for set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with correct skull, slight stop, eyes of good shape and placement in the skull but could be a shade darker, ears of correct set, scissor bite and well pigmented. Pleasing angles front and rear but forelegs could be straighter, however this did not reflect when gaiting and he moved true on the down and back and also went well when viewed in profile and he used himself at all times. Excellent coat and colour. Reserve Best Dog.

1. Clarke’s Int/Bel/Nld Ch Cotonkiss Heaven Help Us VW Nlw23 Lux Vch. 9 yr old who I have met before and always liked. Today, he still appealed and can hold his own alongside the youngsters and he is so very well-muscled. Up to size but so well balanced and certainly all male. Slightly arched neck, correct topline for the breed, excellent ribbing, short in the couplings, correct fall away at the croup leading to low set tail which he carries correctly when gaiting. Quality head and expression with slightly rounded skull, the best of eyes, ears of correct set, slight stop, muzzle of correct length to give balance and lovely dark pigmentation. Good angles front and rear, straight forelegs and stands true in front. On the move, he pleased when coming and going and has such good profile gait and carriage. Super coat and colour and first class presentation. Best Dog & BOB.

2. Campbell Smith’s Cotontop Peter Pan. 5 yr old who is very different to the winner and slighter all through. Neck of moderate length, topline has the typical rise, ribcage of good length, short loin, correct croup and tail set on low and of pleasing carriage when gaiting. Correct skull to muzzle proportions but would like to see more width through the skull, dark round eyes with well pigmented rims, ears set on just as they should be and correct dentition. Pretty good angles both ends but forechest not quite that of winner. Moving ok all through but not overall ease of action of 1. Very good coat texture, pure white and excellent presentation.

1. Howsam’s Jandoes Wotta About Dottie. 15 mth old who was excellent to go over and sturdy throughout. Neck of correct length to balance, correct topline for the breed, ribbing extends well back, nice and short in the loin, croup falling away gently to correct set on of tail and when gaiting tail carried as it should be. I really liked her head and expression; slightly rounded skull, excellent eyes for shape, colour and placement, ears set on slightly above eye level, slight stop, muzzle of correct length, scissor bite and nice dark pigmentation. Pleasing angulation front and rear and when gaiting, she is nice and firm going away, ok coming towards and purposeful on the go around with such good carriage. Good quality coat and colour. Excellent temperament. Reserve Best Bitch.

OB (4,2)

1. Howsam’s Cotonkiss Wotta A Girl Wants at Jandoes ShCEx. Two quite different bitches competed in this class with this 5 yr old taking the win. Totally feminine, she was very good hands on and appealed for overall type and outline. Slightly arched neck of moderate length, characteristic topline, excellent ribbing, nice and short in the couplings, correct croup and tail set on low but carriage could be better when gaiting. Balanced headpiece with delightful expression; slightly rounded skull, dark round eyes, ears of correct set, slight stop, correct dentition and well pigmented all through. Well laid shoulders and pleasing angles to the hindquarters. Moving freely fore and aft and she also goes well when viewed in profile. Excellent coat and colour. Best Bitch.

2. Hancock’s Montewhite Lady Velvet Cloud at Cindaires (Imp Pol). 5 yr old with a pleasing outline but not as sturdy when hands on as winner. Neck of correct length to give balance, pleasing topline, ribbing carried well back, short loin and both croup and tail set are correct. Feminine headpiece of good skull to muzzle proportions but would like more width to skull, eyes of good shape and colour, slight stop, scissor bite and nice dark pigmentation. On the move, she went very well in profile with correct tail carriage but winner had the edge on the down and back. Excellent texture to coat and well handled.
