Firstly, I would like to thank the Committee for my appointment and to my stewards for their assistance throughout the day.

A big thank you to all the exhibitors for their entries.

All males were entire.

It was such a shame that the weather had such an effect on the coats on the day.

VETERAN DOG / BITCH

FIRST

Duffield – Hasaki Team Nobu Meiho

8-year-old clear red, substantial male with good bone. Head of correct proportions, with well-set ears. Strong neck, straight front and good tuck-up. Good spring of rib and depth of loin. Level topline, held well on the move. Well balanced, giving a lovely outline, and moved well.

I was pleased to award him Best Dog, Best of Breed and Best Veteran.

PUPPY DOG / BITCH

FIRST

Bennett – Seijitsu Chikahiko

9-month-old red male. Nice head proportions and lovely eye shape, giving the correct expression. Slightly bum-high on the day. Good, well-set tail. A little unsettled on the move.

SECOND

Grundy & Grundy – Hinatsu Go Yamakawa Nite Under Kyuuten

10-month-old white female. Very feminine head, good eye shape and small, thick, well-set ears. Nice front, level topline and high-set tail. A little loose on the move.

JUNIOR DOG / BITCH

FIRST

Loca – Kimetsu Amayori Go

16-month-old white female. Such a feminine girl, with a head full of breed type and lovely eye shape. Small, thick, well-set ears. Standing on straight front legs. Well-angulated rear, moderate-length hocks a  nd level topline leading to a high-set tail. Moved out well.

Reserve Best Bitch

I was pleased to award her Reserve Best Bitch.

SECOND

Bennett – Seijitsu Chizuru

9-month-old red girl. Pretty head with good eye shape and well-set ears. Good rear with moderate angulation. High, tall-set tail. Slightly bum-high at the moment.

Best Puppy in Breed

I was pleased to award her Best Puppy in Breed.

FIRST

Davis – Kimetsu Ayuki Kori Go at Kasaishiro

White female with a pretty head of nice proportions. Well-set eyes and ears. Moderate angulation throughout. Level topline and high-set tail. Well off for bone. Moved a little close behind.

SECOND

Neill-Clark Pearson – Tsoyu Wakamizu Go Anshee

Red female with a pleasing head and nice head-to-muzzle proportions. Lovely, dark, well-shaped eyes. Small, well-set ears. High, tall-set tail. Unfortunately, lacking coat on the day.

Grundy & Grundy – Hitorikko Go Hajimari Under Kyuuten

Striking brindle male with lovely proportions. Well-defined stop, small, well-placed ears and dark, well-set eyes. Well off for bone. Nice, straight front legs. Level topline with high-set, full tail.

Reserve Best Dog

I was pleased to award him Reserve Best Dog.

SECOND

Davis – Ryuukita Burning Talisman at Kasaishiro

Red male with good length of muzzle. Dark, well-set eyes and well-placed ears. Moderate-length neck and level topline. Tail a little loose. Moved okay.

Loca – Ume Choko Go Hajimari

Brindle female with good head proportions. Straight front legs, level topline and good tail set. Moved a little close behind.

Red male with good dentition and nice muzzle-to-head proportions. Small, well-placed ears. Level topline, held well on the move. Moderate angulation and high, well-set tail.

Moved out well.

SECOND

Bennett – Multi Int. Ch. Seijitsu Amafuri Go Tsoyu

Red male with strong muzzle, well-set, thick ears and level topline. Nicely tucked up High, well-set tail.Moved okay.

Horrobin – Charadon Kaoru Go

Red female of good size and substance, while retaining her femininity.

Good dentition with correct muzzle-to-head proportions. Deep stop, thick, well-set ears and dark eyes. 

Moderate angulation throughout. Thick, well-set tail. Coat of good quality, Moved out well.

Best Bitch • Reserve Best of Breed

I was pleased to award her Best Bitch and Reserve Best of Breed.
