Many thanks to my two hardworking Stewards, Hilary and Marcia. Your help was much appreciated. The high winds were a bit of a trial particularly, for a coated breed! There was a good number of high quality Shih Tzu entered today. Temperaments were first class and coat presentation was generally excellent and I thank all exhibitors for their sporting behaviour and support.

Class 2280 SBD/B (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 5180 GREENWOOD, Mr Richard Mapimakastar Stasiu Jol Rio. Well grown youngster, 9 months of age. Good sized skull with some breadth between the eyes and well-placed nose with wide-open nostrils. Particularly good dentition. Nicely arched neck. Good topline with high-set tail. Stepped out well with very good hind action, showing rear pads.

2nd: 5214 THORNTON, Miss L M Norboo De Von. Another puppy with an attractive expression; large, round eyes and good nose. Well ribbed but not quite the rib and a shade longer in loin than the winner. Very typical profile action.

Class 2281 MPD (2 Entries) Abs: 0

Two good youngsters.

1st: 5187 HOWARD, Miss H L Tameron Mr Amouage. Very composed and scored with his very positive and typical hind action. Most attractive head and expression with good eyes and large nose pad. Excellent topline and tailset. Shown in good muscle tone and this was reflected in his movement.

2nd: 5179 FRANCIS, Mrs Jacquieline Dorothy Ethelsmead Friendly Ghost. Very good head properties with breadth of skull, large eyes and good nose placement. Pleasing open nostrils. Decent forehand with well-laid shoulders and nicely padded feet. Moved soundly.

Class 2282 PD (5 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 5161 BOWNS, Jackie & Dave, Cedarhythe Up To No Good With Bishbow. Mature in body and attitude as he was composed, relaxed and very satisfying to handle. Masculine head of good breadth; dark, round eyes and good nose placement with open nostrils. Good forehand with strong bone and well slung body. Arrogant and jaunty on the move with a very positive stride.

2nd: 5185 HITT, Mrs T A & HITT, Mr M G Miracey Relentless Rider. A real eye-cathcer and shown in splendid coat and condition. Not quite as mature yet in body as the winner but he too has a grand head and lovely expression. Good bone. Level topline with high-set, well carried tail. Moved out well.

3rd: 5191 MAULE, Mrs P M Schnaubern Sean Dillon At Daltricia

Class 2283 JD (4 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 5170 CROSSLEY, Mr David & CROSSLEY, Mrs Susan Santosha Storm Shadow. Very well balanced with a masculine head, broad muzzle and good nose placement. Decent forehand, good rib and body with high set, well carried plume. Moved well with an easy action.

2nd: 5162 BRIGGS, Miss J Warathwaite Hear Me Roar. Very attractive head and expression: large, round, dark eyes. Good width of underjaw. Well slung body with good topline. Strong, well-muscled hindquarters.

3rd: 5180 GREENWOOD, Mr Richard Mapimakastar Stasiu Jol Rio

Class 2284 PGD (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 5167 CHADWICK, Miss H Santosha Black Frost At Hajenza. Stood alone here but he has lots of quality. Good sized skull with well-placed nose with pleasing nostrils. Good bone and legs with firm elbows. Well boded. Shows and moved to good advantage.

Class 2285 LD (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 5165 BROWN, Mr S & Mrs S Rossvale I Have A Dream JW. A handsome, well-made dog of good type and balance. Good skull; fairly large, dark expressive eyes and large, open nostrils. Good ribbing with very good topline and high set, well carried tail. Good hindquarters with some muscle tone.

2nd: 5194 O’DONNELL, Miss Audrey Thaisu Trick Or Treat At Chiachi. A beautifully presented dog with a lovely head and expression. Well ribbed body with good topline. Not quite the tail carriage of the winner. Moved out well.

3rd: 5193 MOORE, Miss J & CASENTIERI, Mr T F Emerson Alpiu Slenis Of Alchez JW ShCEx OSW

A really good class.

1st: 5163 BRIGGS, Miss J Ch Bel Int Lux Dutch UK Warathwaite The Kingslayer. CC. A real eye-catcher as he is glamorous and in fabulous coat and condition. However, there is more to him than this and he has a lovely masculine head which he carries proudly. Excellent forehand with good bone, strong legs and firm elbow. Sturdy, short-coupled and well ribbed body. High set, well carried tail. Impressed on the move.

2nd: 5158 BARRELL, Mrs Jacqueline & BARRELL, Mr Thomas Chanikos My Mystery Dream Via Javerda JW. Really satisfying to handle on the table as he is well made all through. Very attractive head with good nose placement and nice finish to muzzle. Level back and excellent tailset and carriage. Moved out well showing rear pads. Reserve CC.

3rd: 5196 PACZKOWSKI, Mr Tony & CANNON, Ms Yvonne Ch Ta Maria Beyond Unique (imp.fin) Jmv-25 Hecjw-2

1st: 5197 PHETHEAN, Mrs Shirley Ann Isishouse Son And Heir. Nearly 10 years of age and he was shown in superb coat and condition. Pleasing for size and balance with a firm, sturdy body and good topline and tailset. Nicely muscled hindquarters. Determined to show his independent character on the move!

Two very attractive babies.

1st: 5166 CAMPBELL, Ms Donna Bunnylove Miss Chiefmaker. Scored here with slightly more maturity. Good breadth of skull with a very pleasing expression. Well ribbed body with firm, level topline and well set tail. Strong, well rounded hindquarters.

2nd: 5201 SCOTT, Mrs Janine & Stacey Honeyshuchun Greek Goddess. Feminine, very appealing head and expression enhanced by her lovely eyes. Good forehand with decent bone and well laid shoulders. Should do well with maturity.

1st: 5159 BARRELL, Mr Thomas & BARRELL, Miss Robyn Shenleyvale Behind Orange Eyes. Best Bitch Puppy. A really good prospect I would think. Nicely balanced with good head and tail carriage. Super head and expression with good nose placement and lovely muzzle with good underjaw and excellent dentition. Well bodied and sound. She impressed on the move.

2nd: 5186 HITT, Mrs T A & HITT, Mr M G Miracey Dazzling Diva. Another high-quality youngster. Lovely head and expression, nicely arched neck and decent forehand with good bone. Firm, well-muscled hindquarters which she used to advantage on the move.

3rd: 5205 SKAWSKA, Mrs Magdalena Mapimakastar Nadia Jol Rio

1st: 5155 BALDWIN, Miss J Snowshoes Lady Penelope For Maili JW. Very attractive head and expression and a lovely jolly character. Good bone and forehand, well slung body with firm topline and excellent tail carriage. Nicely rounded, muscular hindquarters. Moved well both ways.

2nd: 5175 DIFFEY, Mrs M Marhilway Little Bit Of Edge. Really pleased me for type and balance. Good sized skull, aristocratic expression. Good head carriage. Well coupled body with firm topline. Sound and typical on the move.

3rd: 5208 SPENCER DOWN, Mrs Rachel & STEVENSON, Mrs Catherin Shenleyvale Simply The Zest At Evieshu

2nd: 5212 THORNTON, Miss L M Norboo Palmer Violet JW. Close up and she too has a very pretty, feminine expression with lovely eyes. Sturdy well ribbed body, good forehand and decent bone. High set, well-carried tail. Moved well in a very typical fashion.

3rd: 5199 PRUDEN, Mr B Pinyinz Sugar Hiccups

1st: 5195 O’DONNELL, Miss Audrey Santosha Senorita At Chiachi. Lovely head and expression with nicely finished muzzle with good width of underjaw. Large, open nostrils. Strong, well arched neck and good forehand and bone. Nicely slung body with good topline and high set tail. Impressed on the move.

2nd: 5164 BROWN, Mr S & Mrs S Rossvale's Got The Look. JW. Pretty and feminine with a lovely head and appealing expression. Head and tail carriage are nicely balanced. Good breadth and depth of chest with well ribbed body. Moved soundly.

3rd: 5215 THORNTON, Miss L M Norboo Bella Rosa

Class 2293 OB (9 Entries) Abs: 3

1st: 5174 DIFFEY, Mrs M Ch Marhilway Explorer The Edge. Oozes type and quality. Composed and free standing with just a hint of arrogance. Pleasing to handle with a lovely head and friendly, gentle expression. Good sized, dark eyes. Excellent muzzle with some breadth. Well boned forehand with good breadth and depth of chest and slung body with excellent topline and tailset. Moved well showing hind pads. I thought she was unexaggerated and typical. CC & BOB.

2nd: 5188 HOWARD, Miss H L Ch Tameron Miss Ruby Orchid. A real glamour girl and extremely pretty but underneath the icing on the cake there is plenty of substance and a really well-made Shih Tzu. Good breadth f skull and lovely eyes. Good neck, well-laid shoulders and good bone. Sturdy, well ribbed body. Very impressive on the move where her typical action was apparent for all to see.

3rd: 5190 MAULE, Mrs P M Daltricia Jane Austen JW

1st: 5178 FORBES, Mrs Yvonne Ch Paliden Bucks Fizz To Ekland JW. Best Veteran and a great testament to the care and love given to her by her owner. Lovely head and expression; good sized, clear, dark eyes. Short coupled and well ribbed with very good tailset and carriage. Moved well.

2nd: 5210 SWEENEY, Mrs M Senousi Caress In A Dress. Attractive, pretty head with good breadth of muzzle and pleasing eyes. Firm shoulders and good bone. Well balanced with firm topline and she moved out well showing her rear pads.

3rd: 5202 SKAWSKA, Mrs Magdalena Amore Mio Satinel Reheto At Mapimakastar VW
