1ST Stanegate Sweetest Thing at Shelseivad (Ms E & Mrs H Davies) I have watched this chap grow up around the local shows, he has gone from an exuberant, rangy young puppy to a handsome young man. He has a quality masculine head and expression, square muzzle and dark eye, strong neck into well laid shoulder and good reach of upper arm, strong topline and a well-turned stifle and low set hocks, when settled, he covers the ground with such reach and drive. He has a good coat and was carrying a bit too much condition today, but loved his breed type and character, made his handler work hard for this but I’m sure he has a bright future as he matures.

2ND Foulby Firsty Ferret at Pendresco (Mrs P & Mr R P Willoughby) smaller in build than my winner, but with a nice head and expression, strong neck into well laid shoulder, not the return of upper arm as my winner or as strong in topline, but well-turned stifle and low set hocks. Coat was a bit soft, but was well presented in good condition, movement not as good going away and didn’t hold his topline as well as 1.

Two lovely dogs and worthy champions.

1ST Sh Ch Fynder Reacher ShCEx (Ms L & Mr M Latheron & Trenchard) full of breed type, well-presented and very well handled, masculine head, strong muzzle and dark expressive eye underneath his impressive topknot, strong neck into well angulated front assembly, good depth and well sprung ribs, short coupled with a well-turned stifle, well off for bone with big feet, good coat, he presents a very balanced picture both standing and on the move, not quite as tidy as the bitch going away, but moved well in profile and was pleased to award him BD

2ND Ir Sh Ch Bogbairns Down The Rabs at Weemaes (Mr F & Mrs J Mccallum) promising young dog that was unlucky to be against a mature finished dog, he has a good head and dark expressive eye, short strong neck, good topline, deep brisket and well sprung ribs, good bone and large feet, he moved well in profile but not as clean going away as my winner. He has a good and was well presented, RBD

1ST Curlyco Cosmic Girl (Imp Fin) (Mr J Roberts) there is a lot to like about this young bitch, feminine head and expression, eyes beginning to darken, lovely long ears, well laid shoulder, body and ribs still needing to develop, hocks well let down which give her the effortless drive, she was shown in good condition with a well presented coat, still quite raw, but with sound positive movement.

1ST Sh Ch Stanegate Standing Ovation (Mrs J L Carruthers) what a fabulous young bitch, she is just so sound and balanced throughout, liked her size. She has the most appealing feminine head, with dark almond shaped eye, strong neck that flows into well laid shoulder, good return of upper arm, deep brisket and barrel ribcage, short couplings with strong well-muscled hindquarters, strong topline and correct tail set, finished with strong bone and large feet, she was presented in tip top condition, finished with a dense coat of crispy curls. She is so sound on the move, straight away and back, covering the ground with ease in profile. It was a pleasure to judge her and award her BB and BOB

2ND Ir Sh Ch Stanegate Cast A Spell Cw24 An Ch 23 (Mr & Mrs A Weaving) lots to like on this bitch, she has a feminine head and expression, strong neck that flows into a good layback of shoulder, good depth of brisket and spring of ribs, not as compact in body or as strong in her hindquarters as my winner, but she has good bone and large feet, finished with a dense curly coat. She covers the ground well in profile but not as good when moving away.

1ST Kandrelli Sand Partridge at Foulby (Mrs P & Mrs A Willoughby & Williams) This bitch was certainly out to enjoy her day, pleasing throughout, good size and well balance, loved her feminine head and expression, strong neck into good lay of shoulder, well angulated hind quarters, carrying a bit too much condition today but moved well, with good reach and drive. BV

2ND Ir Sh Ch Kandalin Golden Storm Cw23 (Mr & Mrs A Weaving) another bitch showing that age is just a number, feminine head and expression, strong neck into well balanced body, good size with good bone and feet, moved out soundly but not with the same reach and drive as the winner.
