80TH ANNIVERSARY CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
SUNDAY 5TH APRIL 2026
BITCH CLASSES
It was an honour and privilege to be elected to Judge at this long established Club’s special 80th Anniversary Championship show. My thanks are extended to the Officers and Committee for their wonderful hospitality and gifts. My ring stewards Roy Day and Tom Lowe did a fantastic job of keeping the ring in great order and my sincere thanks go to them also. The depth of quality in my brilliant entry was rewarding to know there are numerous bitches boding well for the future of the breed and type. I didn’t see any breathing issues and generally mouths didn’t show any majorly concerning issues, the odd untidy tooth and incorrect complete bite, but overall they were good, apart from dirty teeth which there were quite a few! The continuance in producing solid bone, frame and strength coupled with the clean lines and no excess flesh, still combine the breed standard’s words “well balanced, of great strength for his size. Muscular, active and agile”. Everything in balance, neither one nor other exaggerated or forgotten. A mix of bull and terrier. Today, I felt many met that requirement and I was extremely pleased with my final line up. Finally, my personal thanks to you the exhibitors for your entries making it a great day with your supportive appreciation to the winners and placegetters.
