Boston & District Canine Society (Championship Show) 2 July 2026 

Firstly, thank you to the Society for asking me to judge, I had a lovely day with some nice dogs. Thank you also to the exhibitors for accepting my placings with grace and enthusiasm for each other’s results. Also thank you to my stewards who kept the ring running smoothly and with great timing. I haven’t commented on coats or mouths as all were in good order.

1ST Dexterity Enthusiastic Crush for Danixaris (Miss D Lewczuk) – 11½ mths red, head is developing well and has a wedge shape, dark, oval eye, ears a little wayward at times. Would prefer a touch less length to neck but this may improve with muscling up at maturity. Good amount of forechest, still to drop in brisket. Well muscled which showed in his smooth movement, held his topline well. BPD & BP

2ND Kariwight Man in The Moon (Mrs K Harvey-Miller) – 11 ½ mths red, good shape to head with parallel planes, I would like a little more depth to muzzle. Nice dark eye, well placed ears. Not the forechest of 1, tight elbows. Well muscled throughout and moved well with the required rear rotary action.

1ST Danixaris Earl Exemplar (Miss V A Clent) – 3 yr old black/red. Nice wedge shaped head with deep muzzle, good shape to eye, lighter in colour. Adequate forechest, good depth to brisket, nice body shape, moved with good steps. Well up in height. RBD

1ST Falkor Stand and Deliver (Mr A & Mrs J M Ellis) – 3 yr old red. Lovely shaped head with good depth to muzzle, super expression. Dark Brown eyes with good oval shape. Body square in shape and balanced with excellent topline which he held on the move, deep brisket, well muscled and flowed around the ring with reach and drive. Would prefer a touch more forechest to complete the picture but happy to award him BD & BOB.

2ND Danixaris Daydreamer (Miss C Lowe) – 4 yr old red. Good parallel planes but not the depth of muzzle of 1, lovely shape and colour of eye, ears well set and used. A touch long in body and flow from neck through to topline could be smoother. Lost his topline a little on the move but good flowing steps and true coming and going.

1ST Kariwight's Little Aurora (Mrs K Harvey-Miller) – 11½ mth red. Feminine head of good shape, a touch round in eye but good colour. Adequate forechest, good depth to brisket. Good bend of stifle and tight feet. Would prefer her in harder muscle condition but moved well with good even steps.

1ST Brintala’s Girl On Fire (Mrs J Knight) – 3 yr old red. Wedge shaped, feminine head, good colour of eye. Lovely arch to neck and good flow into shoulders although I would prefer a touch more length to neck, good forechest and tight elbows. Moved well, nicely muscled.

2ND Danixaris Fabulous Zee (Miss V J Turrell) – almost 2 yr old black/red. Good head, ears well set, eye a little round but of good colour. Good forechest and straight front, a little long in body and a slight dip to topline. Moved steadily with good reach in front.

1ST Falkor Poetry in Motion (Mrs K & Mr S & Mrs J Lawrence & Lawrence & Ellis) – 3 yr old black/red. Feminine head, good wedge shape and deep muzzle. Good forechest and tight elbows, square body shape with good topline, could be a touch deeper in brisket. Well muscled and moved well, tight feet. RBB

Open Bitch (2,0)

1ST Falkor's Little Mazikeen at Kariwight (Mrs K Harvey-Miller) – 5 yr old red. Really liked her head, good planes and earset. Eyes of good colour. Nice arch to neck, adequate forechest. Decent muscle with good bend to stifle. Moved well in profile but a little close behind going away.

2ND Falkor’s Talicia (Mrs K L & Mr S P Lawrence) – 5 yr old red. Would have preferred a slightly stronger head but good planes and gentle stop. Could use her ears a bit better, good eye colour. Lacking a little in forechest but has tight elbows and decent depth to brisket. Good movement in profile. 

Veteran Bitch (1,0)

1ST Goodsouls Rumour Has It It's Falkor (Mr A & Mrs J M Ellis) – 9½ yr old red. Beautiful head on this bitch, a few grey hairs but that is the only sign of her age. Good length of neck flowing well into her topline which was held on the move. Square body, still well muscled. Moved well with rear rotary action and good reach in front, a touch close behind coming and going. BVB, BB & BV Pleased to see that she was awarded VG4 later in the day.
