Norfolk & Norwich Canine Society

This was my first appointment judging Bullmastiffs and Griffon Bruxellois to add to breeds that I have interest in that I judged. I was overwhelmed with the entries being a week show, so thank you to the exhibitors who enter their lovely dogs for me to put my hands over. I found the experience great making it an enjoyable day.

1st SHEVILAN SHERBET FOR BJULASETA (McGill’s) 8mth old R/R female who is smart and well-balanced with good substance for age. Very pretty head of good proportions, well-spaced correct eyes with an alert expression, well set correct ears, definite stop, wide-open nostrils, good turn up and width to undershot jaw, shoulders well-laid back into short level topline with well-set tail and good carriage, chest developing well, ribs well-sprung, strong loin, standing square on medium bone legs and correct feet, thigh muscles developing well, stifles well-bent, correct coat, moved well and freely. Promising exhibit was unlucky to meet winner of SY in the challenge.

2nd DELIGHTBULL VIVA LA VIDA (Wood’s) 7mth old R/R female who showed her lively character. She has a pretty head that is developing with well-spaced correct eyes giving an alert expression, well set correct ears, definite stop, wide-open nostrils, good turn up and width to undershot jaw, shoulders well-laid back into level topline with well-set tail and good carriage, ribs well-sprung, standing square on correct feet, thigh muscles developing, well-bent stifles, correct coat, moved well and freely once settled. Very raw with much more to come preferred the overall balance of winner today.

1st BJULASETA HONEY SPRING (McGill’s) 10mth old S/R female who caught my eye.  She has a beautiful well-balanced head of good width, well-spaced correct eyes giving an alert expression, desirable dark mask with the markings on ears, definite stop, wide-open nostrils, good turn up and width to undershot jaw, chest wide developing well, shoulders well-laid back into short level topline with well-set tail and good carriage, ribs well-sprung, strong loin, standing square on medium bone legs and correct feet, thighs muscled, well-bent stifles, good substance, correct coat of good colour, moved effortlessly and freely. Attentive to handler. BP & RBOB

2nd DELIGHTBULL COME ON EILEEN (Wood’s) 11mth old R/R female another lovely youngster who is compact and cobby. She has a very pretty well-balanced head of good width, well-spaced correct eyes giving an alert expression, well set correct ears, definite stop, wide-open nostrils, good turn up and width to undershot jaw, chest wide developing well, shoulders well-laid back into short level topline with well-set tail and good carriage, ribs well-sprung, strong loin, standing square on medium bone legs and correct feet, thighs muscled, well-bent stifles, good substance, correct coat, moved well and freely once settled. Winner gave more on the day.

1st DELIGHTBULL LADY IN RED JW (Wood’s) 23mth old R/R female of excellent breed type. She has a pleasing typical head well-balanced with good width, well-spaced correct eyes giving an alert expression, well set correct ears, definite stop, wide-open nostrils, good turn up and width to undershot jaw, lovely finished beard completing her overall look, chest wide and well developed, shoulders well-laid back into short level topline with well-set tail and good carriage, ribs well-sprung, strong loin, standing square on medium bone legs and correct feet, thighs muscled, well-bent stifles, good substance, correct coat, excellent confirmation allowing her to move effortlessly with good drive.
