Thank you to the committee for invitation to judge at their show, it was a well run show and the atmosphere was lovely. Overall the entry was lovely and the exhibitors were good sports and took my decisions with grace. Thank you to my stewards, especially Neil Hood who was super efficient and ensured the ring ran smoothly and with good humour. Greyhounds Junior (0,0) Post Graduate (1,0) 1- Abell’s Ballyoak Queen Nice mature female of balanced proportions. Graceful topline, well muscled throughout. Nice bone and good feet. Tail set and carriage correct. Pleasing feminine head with strong jaw, well chiselled, nice oval eye shape and obliquely set. Nice delicate rose-shaped ears. Moved nicely in profile. RBOB Open (1,0) 1 - Boggia’s Boughton Back in Style JW Nice mature bitch, with lovely outline in profile. Nice femanine head, nice oval eye and small rose-shaped ears. Good strong lower jaw. Well muscled neck into well laid shoulders, good depth of chest good and ribbed well back. Stong in loin and correct tail set and carriage. Moved cleanly in all directions. BOB Boston Terriers Junior (2,0) 1 - Sandells’ Dolce Vita Selection Dragon Tail With Shawmut (IMP ITA) Nicely shaped small bitch with good outline. Pleasing square skull. Short, square wide and deep muzzle, nice eyes set wide apart. Small thin triangular ears. Slightly arched neck, Nice front with sloping shoulder ribbed well back, back short and well muscled. Moved nicely in profile. RBOB 2 -Sandells’ Born to Rise De Yu Box Avec Shawmut (IMP FRA) Nice bitch with prettiest of heads with square skull. Eyes round and set wide apart. Good ear shape, set and carraige. Good all through, nicely ribbed. Well muscled in loin. Moved soundly in profile. BPIB Post Graduate (0,0) Open (2,0) 1 - Gill & Hamlin’s Demorace Belle Starr At Simberfour Soundly made bitch with pretty head, square skull, short muzzle square, wide and deep. Square broad jaw. Nice small, thin ears and correct set and carraige. Nicely arched neck into sloping shoulders. Nicely ribbed and strong in topline and short backed with strong loin. Good rear and front angulation, moved the nicest in the class with grace in all directions. BOB 2 - Sandells’ Shawmut The Trailblazer Nice cobby male with pleasing headpiece. Good neck and front set. Nicely arched and muscled neck into good sloping shoulders. Nicely ribbed and well muscled throughout. Nice topline held on the move. Good rear and front angulation. Moved nicely in profile. Dalmatian Puppy (0,0) Junior (0,0) Post Graduate (2,0) 1 - Williams & Tanswell’s Carodal Welcome Way Via Waltzaway JW Nice male with good proportions and masculine head. Ribbed well back and strong throughout. Nicely boned and good feet at each corner. Strong topline held on the move. Correct front and rear angles. Moved nicely in all directions covering the ground with ease. Loved him for his character and strong body tone throughout. BOB & G3 2 - England’s Silverspot Odessa Of The Sea Nice male a bit finer than 1. Good strong neck into well laid shoulders. Ribbed well back and correct front and rear angulation. Nice feet. A little unsettled on the move but when he showed willing, he moved nicely in all directions. Open (3,0) 1 - Finch & Bonner’s Sophtspot Kalamity Jane With Dalticino Nicely made bitch with pleasing pretty head. Good angulation throughout, in particular her rear angulation and turn of stifle. Moved the best in profile in the class. Good feet, correct tail set and carriage. RBOB 2 - England’s Silverspot Voyage Of The Sea Nice male, pleasing head free from coarseness, good rear and front angulation. Moved nicely in all directions. Nice tail set and carriage. Ribbed well back, strong in loin with good muscle. French Bulldog Junior (2,1) 1 - Brooks & Cairns’ Gailbulls Ody’s Girl With Corursus Gorgeous young lady who is cobby and solid throughout. I just loved her, so sweet and with the most beautiful head and expression. Good strong neck into correct shoulders. Ribbed well back with good spring, short strong loin. Moved cleanly in all directions. RBOB & BPIB & PG3 PG (1,1) Open (1,0) 1 - French’s Bincomberfarm Morsmordre JW nicely substantial cobby male. Lovely head piece and eye shape. Ears correct and set nicely. Lovely width throughout. Good sound feet at each corner. Solid and cobby, well muscled. Moved soundly in all directions. A real clown too, loved his attitude! BOB &G2 Poodle (Standard) Junior (6,0) 1 - Mcloughlin’s Zantescwtch Pinball Wizard pleasing male of good proportions throughout. Loved his profile movement. Pleasing masculine head with dark oval eyes, good forechest and ribbed well back. Good bone throughout. Nice topline held on the move, correct tailset and carriage. Sound angulation in front and behind. Won the class on movement RBOB & BPIB & PG2 2 - Cummins’ Willowmiens Chaotic Affair obviously male poodle with good neck into well laid shoulders. Good forechest, ribbed well back. Sound amount of bone, nice feet. Pleasing topline, good strong loin, correct tail set and carriage. Moved soundly in all directions. Post Graduate (2,0) 1 - Doyle’s Graebarn Dark Connection At Haylesdown Nice male, solidly made throughout with pleasing balanced outline. Ribbed well back with solid strong loin. Correct throughout. Moved nicely when settled. 2 - Barber’s Lauren Break The Spell Nice bitch with pretty head dark oval eye, strong neck into well laid shoulders. Ribbed well back, strong in loin. Good front and rear quarters. Moved cleanly in all directions. Open (5,2) 1 - Maloney’s Vicmar’s Push Ahead beautifully made bitch with pretty head, dark oval eye correctly set. Balanced and well proportioned outline, ribbed well back, strong neck into well laid shoulders with great return of upper arm. Nice bone, correct tailset and carriage. Good depth of chest and ribbed well back. Correct front and rear angulation. Correct tail set and carriage, nice on the move covering the ground - today out moved by 1 Shiz Tzu Puppy (5,0) 1 - Sullivan’s Jacquinta Moonlight Shadow Nicely balanced outline slightly longer than tall, pleasing broad head, nice eye shape and set. Nicely arched neck into well laid shoulders. Correct topline, held on the move. Good ribbing and short loin. Moved the best in the class covering the ground with arrogance. BPIB 2 - Austin’s Chotahkees Skhy’s The Limit Nice baby puppy, pleasing broad round head and round eye shape. Good neck into good shoulders. Nice topline and tail set. Moved nicely and cleanly in all directions. Junior (2,0) 1 - Gee’s Jadoremy Lion Of Juda Nice young male, pleasing broad rounded head and correct top knot. Good mouth. Nice neck into well laid shoulders. Sound topline, held on the move. Nice bone throughout. Good front and rear angulation. Nice tail set and carriage - really loved him on the move. Nice topline and tail set. Moved nicely in all directions. Post Graduate (2,1) 1 - Gee’s Jadoremy Spirit Lead Me Nicely made bitch, wonderful and full of character. Pleasing feminine head with correct dark round eye and top knot. Pleasing neck into good shoulders. Nice bone throughout. Good topline held on the move - moved with great gusto in all directions, covering the ground. Open (2,0) 1 - Flack & Hals’ Ch/DK/NOR/SWE/INT CH Mifcah’s The King and I KW beautifully made male, fantastic front and rear construction which shone through on the move. Lovely masculine head piece, arched neck into lovely made front with great return of upper arm. Nice strong topline that is held on the move. Great rear construction. Loved his snooty expression on the move where he strutted around the ring with purpose. He just stood out with such ring presence that he made it hard for you to ignore him, stood out to top a fantastic utility group and delighted to see him go all the way and take BIS. BOB, G1 and BIS. 2 - Sullivan’s Santosha Black Charm At Jacquinta Nicely made bitch, good proportions, nice front and rear construction, ribbed well back, nice strong loin. Moved nicely in all directions, correct tailset and carriage. Tibetan Terrier Junior (4,1) 1 - Meegan’s Avaness Make it Happen Nicely square bitch with pleasing head and nice front and rear angulation. Level topline held on the move. Ribbed well back and strong long. Correct tail set and carriage. Covered the ground soundly and with ease. BPIB & PG1 2 - Gilbert’s Gandalf Sashi Sprout Nice bitch, slightly longer cast that 1 but pleasing overall. Nice topline with correct tailset and carriage Good feet and bone throughout. Nice head and correct tailset and carriage. Moved out nicely. Post Graduate (3,1) 1 - see 2nd junior 2 - Reed & Blake’s Shamisha’s Butterfly At Blakeville Nicely square bitch, pleasing head, strong neck into well laid shoulders. Correct topline and tail set and carriage. Ribbed well back and in hard condition. Sadly a little lack lustre on the move today which let her down. Good neck into well laid shoulder with correct front and rear angulation. Excellent ribbing, strong short loin. Correct topline held on the move with correct tail set and carriage. Moved out covering the ground. BOB 2 - Gilbert’s Gandaki’s Who’s The Boss Nicely made bitch who pushed hard in this class. Square and correct. Nice head and dark eye. Good neck into excellent shoulders. Nicely ribbed, strong in loin. Correct bone and angulation. Moved well in all directions. Strong neck into well laid shoulders. Ribbed well back, nice short strong loin. Nice front and rear action, moves well when settled but is still a baby. BPIB & PG4 2 - Morris’ Afterglow Casse Cou Nicely balanced, pleasing head and dark oval eye. Correct neck into well laid shoulders. Good topline, correct front and rear angulation. Moved nicely in profile with correct tailset and carriage. Junior (4,1) 1 - Mann & Harvey’s Charabecca Levi’s Luckiest Nicely shaped male, pleasing balanced outline. Nice head, good neck into well laid shoulders. Good return of upper arm, strong topline held on the move. Excellent front and rear angualtion. Super on the move, sound in all directions. 2 - Parker-Stokes’ Afterglow Gilbert Grape Nicely shaped dog, good front and rear angulation, sound and true on the move maintaining his topline. Ribbed well back, strong loin and tight at elbow. Moved with eye catching reach and drive, in all directions. Post Graduate (5,0) 1 - Harvey’s Elarhill Miss Maleficent Nicely made bulldog bitch, loved her head and she is broad all through. Correctly proportioned head, nice eye, broad skull, good neck into good shoulders. Super wide in front. Ribbed well back short strong loin. Correct topline which she held on the move. Moved nicely, soundly and cleanly in all directions. BOB 2 - see 1st in junior Open (3,2) 1 - Saunders, Parker & McDonald’s Risepark Style Setter smartly presented mini schnauzer. Balanced outline, ribbed well back. Good bone and correct coat throughout. Nice topline with correct tailset and carriage. Moved freely and covered the ground well, nice particularly in profile. Moved nicely in all directions. Veteran (7,3) 1 - Williams & Tanswell’s Tolkain Storm King From Phadante JW lovely male Dalmatian, loved his presence and his presence. Moved soundly in all directions. Good topline held on the move. Ribbed well back, tight at elbow. Nice feet. Good tails set and carriage. Nicely put together. 2 - Gee’s Juhuas Expecto Patronum For J’Adoremy Nice boy, loved his snooty presence. Good topline, held on the move. He covered the ground. Tail carriage and head correct nice dark eye presented in fabulous presence. Junior Handling 6-11 years (2,1) 1 - Summer Welch Smartly presented handler who was gentle with her dog and unfussy. My advice is to listen carefully to the judge and what they ask for, take your time to settle the pattern in your mind before setting off. I liked that she was gentle with her dog at al times and was communicative. 12-16 years (2,0) 1 - Isabella Carter Handling a ridgeback. Nice to see this young handler trying out different breeds and doing so well with them. My advice is that if you are going to swap around on your breeds, do some revision on what they are bred for. Nice straight lines and sympathetic handling is what won the class. So gentle and kind with a difficult charge. Well done. BJH 2 - Isabella Scullion smartly presented young handler, just needs to do a bit more practice. Really gentle and kind with her dog and knew what her breed was bred for. Don’t panic if you’re not sure, fake it until you make it because at the end you did a great stack with your dog and your lines were a little wobbly - keep going and practice as you have strong potential. 17-49 years 1 - Carla Tanswell Smartly presented handler who had a real laugh and good time with her dog which is what it’s all about. Good pattern work, have confidence in yourself as you are really good and it’s so nice to see someone have a good time. Breathe and take your time and you’ll be top drawer. 50+ years 1 - Justine Stratton smart handler with a basenji. Knew her stuff. Super straight on her patterns and gentle at all times. Carried out my instructions correctly and was picture perfect. BAH 2 - Caroline Gammon Smart handler just a bit wobbly compared to 1 today and the straight up and down. Just tidy everything up and you’ll be hard to beat. Minor Puppy Stakes 1 - Scarlett’s Molesend Nectar- beautiful head, lovely outline, balanced throughout. Good set on of leathers and strong neck into well laid shoulders. Ribbed well back and nice short loin. Good feet. Correct tail set and carriage. Moved nicely in all directions when settled. 2 - Hill’s Ashkyem Fisher Lewis lovely male with pleasing head, ncie small rose shaped ears. Strong neck into correct shoulders. Gentle and graceful topline, excellent muscle and bone. Cleanest of movers in all directions, pushed hard in this class Puppy Stakes 1 - Aplin’s Dynar Forget Me Not At Angelscove - lovely made with prettiest of heads. Lovely dark correct eye. Perfectly balanced head. Balanced outline and stands full square unaided. Moved like a dream around the ring. 2 -Taylor’s Calacarey Over The Moon By Tannadice - Lovely boy who moves with real grace. Nice masculine head, lovely dark eye. Presents a balanced outline with lovely topline and overall shape. In great condition. Moves freely in all directions. Special Beginners Stakes 1 - See 1st Post Graduate AVNSC Bulldog 2 - Burrow’s Larosapearl Jasper Dreams Pomeranian - Won on attitude. Great little square dog with lovely dark eyes and nose, small triangular ears set on high. Profuse coat with great condition. Lovely topline with correct tail set and carriage. Super little mover who zoomed around the ring as if he owned the place.
