My thanks to the exhibitors for entering under me and to my stewards Elizabeth and Grant for keeping me on the straight and narrow. I had some super dogs to go over, and I had to make some tough decisions.

Best in Show

A super line up for me today, my BIS winner was Sh Ch Stanegate Stage Debut (IWS), who I thought was totally top drawer and today never put a foot wrong. A top class IWS. For RBIS I selected the very exciting youngster Gunalt Back Chat from Strideview (Wei), so full of breed type and moving out so well. For BIS3 I selected Gleadsbury It is Destiny for Anacapa (ESS), a super springer, full of type without any exaggeration, just my style of dog. For BIS4 I chose Castledogley Firenze JW (HV) who had won the open stakes under me, earlier in the day. She completed a quartet of top quality dogs.

Best Puppy in Show

The puppies also provided some very exciting prospects for me to consider with the BPIS going to Strettonhills Bring it Home to Jarabees (Golden). I thought this young man really exciting, totally balanced for one so young and everything in the right place. Pleased to award him the top spot. RBPIS was the naughty youngster Moel Wynion of Stormacre (Sussex) another exciting youngster who is developing in all the right ways, really loved his attitude. My BPIS 3 was another exciting youngster in Crimwell Trouble Maker at Stormacre (CCR), who presented the most super shape on the stack. For BPIS 4 I selected the very pleasing Pry Acta Non Verba at Ansona (imp SVK) (SRHP).

Ist Pry Acta Non Verba at Ansona (imp SVK) (SRHP)

A lot to like about this10 months old bitch, her head is appealing and she has well shaped eyes giving a kind expression. Clean neck into well set shoulders, stands on good legs and feet. Needs to drop into her front which she will do as she matures. Well made in body and quarters are developing nicely. Moved out well with plenty of drive, just needs to tighten in front. Pleased to make her BIR, BPIR and later BPIS4.

Any Variety Stakes

Puppy

1st Annilann Miss Woopsi Poopsi

This blue roan baby has the most lovely head and expression that just melts you, she is of good make and shape, clean neck into well set shoulders. For her age she is short and deep in body and well ribbed up. Super quarters on her with stifles well bent. Moved out well for one so young, a really exciting youngster.

2nd Orchidstar Mutley

Good overall shape on this young man, head pleasing, and he has a clean outline for his age. Good front on him, shoulders well placed, would like a tad more forearm. Body of good proportions, firm in loin. Well boned legs with neat feet. Quarters well made, stifles well bent. Still needs to find his feet on the move but once he got going had a good side gait.

3rd Glenbrows Blush at Tantaraviz

Junior

1st Orlanset Slave to Love

Smart young dog who at this age presents a very impressive outline on the stack. Good size and substance, a clean picture which portrayed his racy lines and elegance. Masculine head with raised brow and balance, correct amount of work for his age and low set ears. Super front assembly, ribs sprung and well back and firm through loin. Well-developed quarters and second thigh. Moved soundly with a good action.

2nd Gellini Special Edition

Another who has done well under me before and it was super to see her again today. 14 months old and looked a picture stood.  Her head piece is typical with good depth of muzzle and divergent planes, ears set on well, good eye giving a pretty almost human expression. Strong in neck into a well assembled front. Body well-proportioned and coming together nicely, just a tad too much covering today. Well balanced overall which showed in her movement which was very together for her age. Coat coarse and dense. A promising youngster.

3rd Hawkfield Bewitched

Open

1st Castledogley Firenze JW

This lady was my Best Puppy last time I judged the breed, now three years old and close to the finished article. I really liked this lady for type, so feminine. Presented a super outline on the stack, head is feminine with a good eye and well set on ears, all of which gave a lovely gentle expression. Good through the neck into well-placed shoulders and a good return of forearm. She stands on good legs, enough depth of chest, level topline and a good tuck up. Decent moderately angulated quarters on her. Fluid on the move to take the class and later BIS 4.

2nd Owlspoint Loads of Trouble

Another pleasing boy with lots to like about him. A balanced dog of good overall make and shape, his head is masculine with a typical expression, good planes and well-set ears. Decent front assembly on him and stands on good well boned legs. Body developing well for his age, good through the ribs and short loin. Quarters well developed with a decent bend of stifle. On the move he was sound and had a good action.

3rd Redmanhey’s Comte De La Fere

Special Working

1st Gellini Indian Moon

Another who has done well under me previously, a lot to like about this girl, she appealed to me in head, which was balanced, divergent planes, a good eye, ears well set on all combined to give a feminine expression. Strong neck into a well assembled front, she has depth to her chest and stands on good well boned legs. Well made in body with ribs well sprung, good quarters with stifles well bent, in super coat of good texture. Shortlisted her for BIS but she lost her enthusiasm at the end, which was a shame.

2nd Elfrindew Bye Bye Buntin at Vixenmoor

This 17 month old bitch was very typy. I liked her headpiece, it is feminine, well-shaped with divergent planes and well placed ears. Decent front assembly on her, good depth of forechest, would like her a little tighter in elbow, good spring of rib. Quarters well-made and a good bend of stifle. Good in profile but not as tidy on the move as the winner today in front action.

Veteran

I love this bitch for type; I have awarded her a CC in the past and it was good to see her here again today, still looking fabulous. Gorgeous headpiece on her, strong in neck into a well assembled front. Stands on good legs and tight feet. Shoulders well laid back and a good return of forearm. She has depth to chest and ribs are well sprung, slight tuck up. Quarters are well made, good in topline. On the move she is a sound and economic mover, covering the ground. Today on this form BVIS.

2nd Sh Ch Afonbach Winter is Coming JW ShCX OSW VW

Smart dog of eight years old with a lot to like about him. He has a super headpiece which is masculine, wedge shaped with a kind eye, ears set on correctly. Good reach of neck into a well assembled front. Stands on strong legs and neat feet. Good depth of chest, elbows close fitting, ribs well sprung through to a firm loin.
