North East Coast Chihuahua Club

North East Coast Chihuahua Club – Sub Group Open Show 18th April 2026

Judge: Mr Ben Joiner (Dacatelo).

Thank you to the Northeast Coast Chihuahua Club Officers and committee for inviting me to judge Smooth coats and BIS at their open show this year. A relatively new club but still run very well. Thanks to the exhibitors for their entries and sporting behavior. And finally, a thanks to my steward for the day who kept us always running efficiently.

LD (3,1) 1 Huntley's Jahneemahs Looney Tune 15-month-old cream male, full of energy, alert and attentive, always engaging with his handler and never ceasing to show. Sturdy and compact, he moved well and confidently, with a well-proportioned head, correct muzzle length, pleasing bite and gorgeous eye. A quality exhibit, worthy of BD, BOB and BIS. – BD, BOB, BIS

2 Hartley & Fahey's Zoomeera Home And Dry JW Just over 2 years, this red male was unlucky to meet the winner here. He moved well with purpose, maintaining a level topline, while his tail never stopped wagging. His muzzle was slightly shorter, though he had a correct bite and beautiful eye.

OD (1,0) 1 Alexander's Alderxena Pocket Rocket JW This compact, well-put-together red sable male had a good mouth, pleasing stop, correctly proportioned head and large flaring ears, which he used well at times. Although moving correctly, he was reluctant to move as freely as the others on the day. Class 32: BABY PUPPY BITCH (1,0)

BPB (1,0) 1 Price's Monicachi Destiny's Call At 5 months and 8 days, this very sweet, happy red bitch still has much to experience, yet loved her time in the ring despite standing alone. Outgoing and confident for one so young, with a straight front, very pretty head, pleasing eye, balanced proportions and great earset. – BBPB, BBP

VB (3,1) 1 Huntley's CH Jahneemahs Along Came Polly JW, At 10½ years, this bitch still had so much to give and was a pleasure to assess. Beautifully proportioned, with a cracking eye, she retained her movement and carried her lovely furry, flatter tail well. Her quality still shone through, earning BB, BVB, RBOB, BVIB and RBVIS.

2 Fairbairn's CH Tidos Ghost Protocol At over 11 years, this cream bitch has certainly seen her fair share of the show ring. Handled well by her young handler, she showed good proportions, pleasing eyes set in a correct apple-domed head and great flaring ears. It was easy to see why she earned her title.

MPB (1,0) 1 Fairbairn's Tidos Huntrix – At 7 months, this black tri bitch is still new to the show ring. Slightly larger and well bodied, with a good length of neck leading to a correctly proportioned apple-domed head, great earset and stop. She moved well, maintaining a level topline, but was reluctant to use her tail. RBB, BPB, BPIB

PB (1,0) 1 Hartley & Fahey's Zoomeera Stormcloud – Still a youngster at 11 months, this black tri bitch was a little shy in the ring, although her tail never stopped wagging. She was of the correct size and proportions, with particular merit in her correct muzzle length and bite, presenting a balanced overall picture.RBPB
