Puppy, (3)1st BPIB Res BOB, Forbes & Sladdens Silvestre soda pop at Canemamans, Exciting puppy who took my eye on initial run round with his free flowing positive ground covering movement, presents a pleasing balanced outline, body developing well for age, masculine head, soft eye and correct ear length, chest reaches elbows and ribs well sprung, strong rear and good bend of stifle, well handled and close up for BOB, Pleased to see he later won the puppy group. 2nd Sladdens Braccorions eye candy at Canemamans. Not as forward as 1st but lots to like, head of good length, correct planes, soft eyes, good ear length, chest to elbows and body developing well, just lost to 1st on topline as little soft today, well muscled up but not quite as flashy as 1st on the move but a quality pup. t3rd Savages Silvestre bubble licious. Completed a nice trio, future bright for all 3. 

Junior (2, 1a) 1st Rowleys Canemamans Final say. Little narrow in head for me and could have a tad more depth to muzzle, but still feminine, presents pleasing outline, is balanced and has good bone for age, deep chest, strong legs with good pasterns, well muscled rear , good bend of stifles and nice feet, moved ok when settled. 

Post Grad, (2) 1st Sladdens Canemamans two timer JW, Impressive lad, masculine head of good proportions, nicely chiselled below soft eye, good front and strong bone, well ribbed back, strong second thighs, preferred body length of his kennel mates when it came to top awards, 2nd Huttons Piccorino portatore d’amore. Different head type to 1st, little heavier but still correct, good depth of muzzle, soft eyes, correct ear length, shoulders well placed, well ribbed and deep chest, supple skin, moved well holding outline but preferred the fluidity and drive of 1st today. 

Open. (1) 1st and BOB, Forbes & Sladdens Canemanans primo al fine JW. Well made handsome lad, good width to head, large nose, deep muzzle, chiselled under eyes, good body proportions, correct topline, strong bone, supple skin,good pasterns and feet, moved with drive from his powerful rear, pipped his kennel mate on maturity, but close decision.

Golden Retrievers. A really mixed bag of type entered. There were a few coarse heavy skulls which spoils the overall look. Others who had correct heads had long bodies and short legs. I found one with hare feet and another with unsound rear. I was pleased with my winners as they were closest to the standard whilst being fit for the job they were bred for. The group judge gave both my BOB and BPIB a group placing. 

Puppy (5, 1a) Hard class to judge as all different types and at different stages of development. 1st and BPIB Cowpers Laurenley lady mary for Garmorgan. Lovely outline on this pale girl, feminine head and kind eye, balanced through body with good length of leg, round cat feet, in good coat, attentive to handler. Moved well when settled, pleased to see she took Puppy group 3. 2nd Phipps Bakers Maddouse just trouble. Very similar to 1st but slightly heavier in back skull , good length of neck leading to well balanced body, moved well but preferred topline of 1st today, good bone and cat feet, in lovely bloom.3rd Cricks Toseland tilia at Goldlyn. 

Junior (6,1a) 1st and BOB Webb & Smiths Waterbabies walk tall at Hectson, imp ITA. Handsome pale lad with balanced masculine head, soft eye , good ear placement, strong neck leading to deep chest , well ribbed, correct length of leg and holds pleasing outline, in hard muscular condition and lovely coat. Moved with drive. Later he won Group 3 in a strong group. 2nd Stonebridge Toseland two can have a party. Feminine pale girl with lots to like, has melting expression, clean neck leading to balanced body with good length of leg, strong rear and second thigh, moved with purpose holding topline. 3rd Toseland Tilia.

Post grad (8 4a) 1st and res BOB Middleton Collins Berrymeade dream on with Jasperleigh JW SGWC. Gold lad with the best head in the class, not overdone, balanced with deep muzzle and well chiselled , clean strong neck leads to well made front and rear, certainly fit for function, moved well but tends to fly tail a tad. In fabulous bloom. 2nd Toseland two can have a party. 3rd Hushs Ousevale ocean breeze at Benrowan.

Open ( 8, 3s) 1st Fleet & Webb Waterbabies sonic boom to eastbury and Hectson Imp ITA. Headed a mixed class , won on his overall balance and substance, little heavy in backskull for me compared to the BOB and res BOB,Strong clean neck, Scored in depth of chest and ribbing, moved well holding topline, strong second thighs and in good coat. 

2nd Middleton Collins Berrymeade a fool in love of Jasperleigh JW. Gold boy whose head was more appealing than 1st but I preferred front assembly of 1st. Also flies his tail but overall a sound well boned lad in good coat and condition. Round cat feet and strong hocks. Capable of days work. 3rd Keightleys Richana a star is born.
